Changing lanes just did a video and Reccommended having generator auto start when battery gets to a certain % . Reason being using a lot of juice from the batteries can dip it below the 11 volts even though you may still be at say 75% charge.

In addition to a bad look dumping water also attracts insects like flies (still remember that park with the flies you guys stayed at) and wasps. The smell of the rotting waste (skin cells and food) would also attract other unwanted pests. Look at a desert environment and what do you not see that often - water. What do rodents need - water - don't invite them over for a drink. If you really have to dump water consider filtering it. I've seen some youtubers who have a recirculating shower system where they filter and reuse their water for showering (th-cam.com/video/L0AR4COFJng/w-d-xo.html). My guess is if it is clean enough to shower in it might not be as much of a draw to animals attracted to the stench of gray water.
I headed east out of Zion. Bryce Canyon NP is the most beautiful place I have ever been. Spent 2 days there. The rock gives different views at dawn and at dusk. Glen Canyon rec area is also beautiful puts you right next to the Colorado River.
You two are so much fun to watch! Zion is beautiful. I cannot wait till you are a Beach Tribe again though! Trying to plan a trip to Florida in January. are there boondocking spots there near the beach? Destin?
Love the post guys! We just visited there last week on the way up to Yellowstone! We also just installed solar and a lithium powerwall. Really wish we would have started boondocking earlier!
If you enjoy fishing, go 6 mi up Kolob Terrace Rd & hike down to the left fork - I used to go there 4-10x per year and always caught 12+ rainbows (max was 58 in 1 day), up to 16”! Also, FYI, Virgin used to be the only town in USA with an ordinance REQUIRING a gun in every home!
How can you boondocks all that time with 155gal freshwater and only 78 gal grey capacity and 78 black capacity? especially you have one grey tank for shower and galley of 52 gal, one main black tank of 52 gal, and one hybrid tank in the rear for grey and black of 52 gal? I can make the black last in the main tank, but the grey is where I would struggle with showers, dishes, and I assume you do not do laundry when dry camping. I am not sure I would ever dry camp for more than a few days because we have a dog and he doesn't do well in the heat, so I would have to run the generator for AC. We will see in next 18 moths we are planning to drive from East Coast to AZ to visit friends, and I assume we will be dry camping for several days as we drive there and back.

It's easy to get 12-14 days on black, but after about 3-4 days, I need to dump gray. I only have 30 gallons for each tank on my trailer. As far as allowing the gray to drain out onto the ground, I've only been to two campgrounds that allowed it. It didn't cause a problem because when the gray is open all the time, and using a 50 foot water hose, as you wash your hands, only a small amount drains and soaks into the ground. It's not like you're draining 30 gallons all at once and have a small creek running. I see tent campers in state parks always washing their dishes at the picnic table and when finished, they walk over to the nearest bush and heap the tub of water into the bush. But RV's either hold it or have to dump at the the station, in state parks.
I think maybe you should not share ALL of your spots.. leave the finding the spots for the adventure.. otherwise all these spot are just going to get inundated with rv's and will ruin it for most of us... just a thought for you guys to preserve the nature of camping...

Buy the adapter to hook a garden hose up and run the hose out to a desert plant and just leave the grey valve open and help the desert live. Totally acceptable and the desert will soak it up.
I have something that I would like to share with you and hopefully you will appreciate it and you will share it on your website or your video TH-cam channel. That's something that no one talks about but I have never seen anybody else do it I do it every time I go camping. As I am packing up my rig to leave and go back out to the real world and have to play with the big boys, I take an empty my water tank to a tree or Bush that is near me to help feed some of the wildlife and the green in the world. I really don't know how to describe what I'm trying to get across but hopefully you will understand and if you appreciate it and like the idea please share it with your TH-cam channel viewers because it's something that we all should do because we are really living in a crisis Now with the water shortages and lack of rain. Lack of rain. Sometimes I also cheat and empty my Gray tank

Plants and grass do great with gray water it doesn't damage anything and in the dry like that the plant would love some water.

I agree we water the desert plants all the time. Same in the forest. We do use biodegradable soaps so no harm to nature.
About time you guys discovered the BLM land. Its a much better experience
I have something that I would like to share with you and hopefully you will appreciate it and you will share it on your website or your video TH-cam channel. That's something that no one talks about but I have never seen anybody else do it I do it every time I go camping. As I am packing up my rig to leave and go back out to the real world and have to play with the big boys, I take an empty my water tank to a tree or Bush that is near me to help feed some of the wildlife and the green in the world. I really don't know how to describe what I'm trying to get across but hopefully you will understand and if you appreciate it and like the idea please share it with your TH-cam channel viewers because it's something that we all should do because we are really living in a crisis Now with the water shortages and lack of rain. Lack of rain. Sometimes I also cheat and empty my Gray tank
