No spoilers. The names for some characters were translated differently in different subs. Average Youngman was also translated as Mundane Mann. Rose's fiance was also translated as Perv Asshat. Idk which is more accurate, but now you know.
The official translations are more accurate in the sense that they translate the puns. The winner at the tournament earlier was also called Imatry Nottaloos (Imma try not to loose). Especially sad to see the translation of Do M Ketsu hatto butchered.
One is fansubs the other is official subs. The Hi-dive used Mundane Mann, Perv Asshat, etc. due to them being the official English names from the Manga and Lightnovel.
Alexia has the best personality too, def bitchy, but its like just the right amount of bitchy and honesty that I appreciate in a character(and in a girl lol). She is hilarious, I love her bickering with Beta, and def love her conversations with Cid.
Her accepting her weakness made her strong and Iris case is the opposite slow decent starting when he saw Alfa for the first time because she couldn't face reality
honestly, I feel that the flashback was just Cid being Cid, using a paper bag, to "save" people in a fantasy world (think he didn't had his slime yet at that time.) Because the time scale will be totally weird if it's his middle school period.
Why tho? For all we know it could be him in middle school. Well...the alternative world's version of middle school at least. He did sound much younger. And most likely he didn't have such crazy powers yet.
The battle power he says are accurate to there stats, but because our MC wants to look weak that's why his battle power is low, my guess is that throughout his battles his battle power will go up when he see's new data. LOVE YOUR VIDS.

Okay.....I am a bit cofoosed. The subs I saw today matched the manga, with TunaKing, not MagRonalds, and Mundane Mann, not Average Youngman. I did not expect such discrepancies between subs. I mean, Alpha even told Cid he owed her a TunaKing sandwich after he got out of interrogation about Alexis's kidnapping. Whatever. IDGAF. I love this series more than the English language could assist me in explaining. And, these mad lad bastards are so into it, a reaction couldn't get better. No trash talk about the other reacters I love. This channel just does it unique, and I want them to react to everything I enjoy.

They have been taking too much leeway on the translation. Like mundane mann originally was Jimina seinen (tl: avrg young man) and Doem ketzhat. (Tl:masochist asshat) so the subs are going overboard

Not sure what you guys used to watch this episode but I'd highly recommend sticking to Hidive. There was quite a lot of fun stuff lost in translation with this version.

Note: Gamma doesn't trip simply due to wearing heels. Flat footwear actually won't help her. She is actually capable enough to keep up with the rest of the 7 Shadows when doing operations. However, since she uses her brain more than her physical prowess she has a poor sense of precise bodily movement to the extent that she falls even when there is nothing on the ground. More often than not, she trips from missing steps on stairs, or doesn't look where she's stepping and thus hitting a rock or something on the way.
I don't think Rose would just stab her fiance and dip. I'm thinking, either the corruption that showed up on her chest at the end of last episode started acting up OR her fiance's a part of the cult of diablos and he tried to make a move and abduct her
Will there be a reaction to the Kagejitsu! short series? You should check it out, it's in a chibi artstyle but it's still really nice to see the members of shadow garden interacting with each other casually and features some of the cast who haven't gotten much screen time yet.
They skipped some stuff with Cid as Mudane Mann where he really does make every victory look like accidents. lol Maybe they'll show more of that in the next episode.

for the whole countries thing The Kingdom of Oriana: a kingdom who's technological achievements have allowed them enough of a peaceful existence for the majority of their citizens to focus on refining various arts from sword smithing to music. Basically the US but a monarchy. Imperial Lindwurm: Literally just the Papal States. Midgar: A kingdom renown for it's military training (Dark Knight) academy and overwhelming military presence. More or less pre WW 1 Germany.
Taking how the last arc went, Cid is definitely the anomaly and I agree that the plot is gonna interfere with his tournament plans - which might be a good thing because 1. Rose night need saving since we saw her with a curse at the end of last episode and 2. Iris needing the win due to the people losing faith in her I can't WAIT to see how the match bwn Cid and Gilded Gold is gonna turn out 🤣🤣🤣
Ngl that char design of the purple haired girl (forgot her name if she even gave it) was similar to Ruti from Quitting being a Hero. I wish this episode was longer though lmao that golden guy needs to get put in his place about "battle power"

We did see I think last episode that a mark appeared on her chest, which im assuming is showing that she's a hero descendant and is one of the possessed like Shadow Garden. Her disappearance could have something to do with that.
Honestly some part of this were weirdly different from the manga so i don't even know where exactly this is going but im enjoying it as much as everybody else
Maguronarudo... Maguro=tuna... Tunanarudo sounds weird so Tunaking instead in some subs... Yours just stuck to the Classic Magronalds of most anime it seems...

Yes, thats what it sounds like, but its a joke. Doem Katsuhatt is actually pronounced Do-Em Katsuhatt. Do-Em means "very masochistic person" and Ketsuhatt means "spanking", so his name is a joke on "A very masochistic person who likes getting spanked". Thats why in the other Translation they translated it as "Perv Asshat", it at least leaves some of the joke of him being a perv in there. "Average Youngmann" was actually "Mundane Mann" in the other translation which works much better too, the meaning is still the same as the original japanese "Jimina Seinen" which literally means "Average Youngman" but "Mundane Mann" flows better and feels like an actual name.

But yeah, Eminence in the Shadow has quite a bit of comedy and it can be very difficult to translate jokes but they should atleast try a little lol. Its the same when Alexia called Cid "Pochi" but it translates as "Fido" for example, its literally just -insert generic dog name here-. The HiDive translations are pretty good at translating the jokes but the one they were reacting to in this episode wasn't. Maybe the translators didn't get the jokes, or the source material, idk. I can usually get quite fussy about bad translations but I don't have that issue with the HiDive translations.
By the way, I recommend Anime "Campfire cooking in another World" it a pretty good and Funny Series and it make by the Same Studio MAPPA (same Studio of Attack on Titan later Part and Chain Saw Man....) And Bofuri Season 2 (may be watch ss1 first if you haven't watch it yet)

MacRonald's was changed in official subs most likely to avoid copyright headaches from McDonald's
