I have a lot of respect for Deeyah Khan, not as a supremist of anything, just as a human. And because I've admired her work and her views for some time now. In these times when someone you disagree with automatically becomes an enemy - well I don't agree with that at all. To be able to disagree I think, is turning into a lost art. When so many people now live their lives in echo chambers, because that is their comfort zone, different points of view become battle statements. Not many people know of Daryl Davis, but he's been doing something for the past 30 years that many people would think impossible. A black man befriending KKK members, and what results from that friendship is them leaving the Klan. In the hundreds. Check it out. In this day and age, when staying in your own lane, in your own box, behind your own skin, and a hundred thousand other "identifiers" means no crossing of humanity's borders to find out how the other sides live, think, laugh, love, and all the rest of it.........when this results in all of these battle lines being drawn up....who benefits? Because humans don't. Humanity loses.
Im 30 minutes in it its not easy to listen to it. I dont even know what to tell about it. These people are racist these people are the same people who killed George Floyd and so many others. This issue is one of the worst issues we can never change unfortunately.
