People.. Don't use a screwdriver between the primary drive and clutch basket gears to stop it form turning.. use a copper coin or small piece of aluminium. The idea is that they are softer than the teeth on the cogs and wont damage them...
This motor has already been taken apart. The nuts and bolts were too loose and dry.Like the other person says NEVER use a screwdriver to jam.Use a rag or a stick of solder.
What a knacker this guy is showing people to do it that way. Last time I tried that with the screwdriver I snapped the very very weak alloy mont arms on the clutch basket
Hi mate! With this type of clutch how dose the pressure from the pressure plate disengage. I only ask as my skyteam with the same set up is not disengaging.
@@chriscs9080 no mate, am still trying to fix it, I can't understand how once I tighten the 4 spring bolt's down how the clutch disengages, as there is no rod coming through from the other side to push the pressure plate off like my honda fireblade set up. Thanks john.
There is a little cog at the bottom right. What does that do? Is it fixed by a bolt or does it just sit there because mine came of? Also the little square metal bit in the middle of it does that need to be parallel with the groove on the back of the cog or vertical? Thanks
If I'm not mistaken your referring to the usually plastic cog below the oil filter. This is to collect oil from the engine sump and travel it through the engine. When your engine is in motion those cogs spin at high speed spraying the oil from the bottom inside the sump and spraying it up and all inside the gears etc

@@chriscs9080 Thanks. I've used thread glue (blue) and Nm wrench with max 28Nm on scale and tightened it to the click and then intuitively pushed a little bit more. My friend told me that thread glue like Loctite makes less friction on threads, so you should tighten the bolt with lower force. It makes sense. By far i made around 1300km, so I think bolts are tight. Cheers! :)
Well, it's exactly the same, only in reverse order. It's like playing the video backwards. It has not occurred to me that it is so complicated. In this case, do nothing and do not let work, please contact service. This is just a simple guide to the idea of work. It's not working instructions from BMW ;o)

Put a rag , if that does not work i would go for a soft aluminium strip
Also, add a few pounds of air to your tires and reduce rolling friction.
You'd be surprised; it makes a difference particularly under load.
