    Thanks for all these videos! So inspiring! I 100% agree about the Anima Mundi! I was feeling a little bad that I hated the edges of mine so much...like we're supposed to want gilding right? but I took off three borders and left the titles on the bottom. Wrote the roman numerals for the minors there instead, took a tiny sliver of gilding off the bottom and then edged it in dark brown. It just feels so much more grounded now. Those gilded borders seemed so at odds with how I felt about the deck. Just how it "speaks" to me...

    I trimmed the Anima Mundi and I love it. It is amazing to see how the cards interact without borders

      I've seen some photos of it trimmed and it's stunning. I really hope that will help me use it more because it's such a beautiful deck. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

      @@DawnMichelleTarot I really hope so. Since I trimmed it, it became one of my favorite. There is something special about it. And I love the skies in this deck.

    It would be interesting to see a video of you using the tarot of the secret forest. I'm learning to use my intuition more with tarot and would love to see you doing a reading in that style as your explains what about the cards make you feel that way

    Thank you for sharing, particularly the Palladini Tarot mod. I was trying to figure out a way to take off the borders. But after seeing all the time you spent on it; I think I’ll leave it alone.

    Love your videos! I’ve put multiple decks into the must buy section of my wishlist from seeing your decks 😅! With the sun and moon tarot, if you used sharpie it might come off if you write over it with a dry erase marker! I did that with my copy!

    I do really enjoy your videos 😀 I absolutely love the tarot of trees, I use it at the moment for predictive career readings and it's doing great job. I did edge it in black and it looks lovely. Unfortunately the card stock is terrible, I have one from the last edition and the foil started to peel off the cards after only 2 months. The creator and their sister were very kind however and we sorted it out.
    The Mystical tarot is another firm favorite of mine. Although I love the borders on this one, I went and trimmed and edged it only 2 days ago after constantly using it for months. It got really quickly worn out, I was even kind of surprised. I trimmed the left/right sides from the back and top/bottom from the front. The most ridiculous thing is that it now shuffleles better than before. I will be however buying a back up copy with borders.
    I also trimmed Vision quest tarot and I'm not sure I like it this way a whole lot, I haven't used it much since then. Maybe I have to pull it out again. It does riffle shuffle quite well for a trimmed deck but I think it shuffled better before the trimm.
    Let me know if you want to see some pictures 😊

    I cant wait to see what you do with them 😍 especially the tarot of the sidhe and moon garden. They are both decks I've really wanted to use but just haven't been able to. I passed them both on and then repurchased them again lol As always, thanks for another great video 🤗

    • @DawnMichelleTarot
      @DawnMichelleTarot  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Moon Garden is going to be a challenge, that one I've been thinking on for a while now! I hope to do the Sidhe before too long as I really love that deck but it's difficult for me to work with. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

  • @Lisa_Papez

    On the Paulina, would you consider trimming sides/tops but leaving the titles on the bottoms? I've done a few trims that way and really love the effect. In fact, I have it on my list of things to do to mod my Shadowscapes Tarot that way. The only downside of course being it can throw the backs out of whack. So there's that.

    • @DawnMichelleTarot
      @DawnMichelleTarot  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have considered it, but then I do have this itch to make it same size as my trimmed Anna K and Llewellyn so they make a little set. I've seen it totally borderless and I love that look, but then I don't know if I would know what each card is. I might start out with three sides and go from there. I don't really mind too much if the backs are a little out of whack as long as it's not super apparent. 🙂 So many decks to mod, so little time! 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

    As far as I'm concerned you are the Queen of Mods! 😆 Do you know the Tarot of Transformation? I cannot read with it the way it is and I was curious if you have it and if you would have modified it? Looking for ideas...

    • @DawnMichelleTarot
      @DawnMichelleTarot  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hehe thank you! That one is on my mod list too, but I haven't really committed to an idea for it yet. I was originally going to reback it in contact paper, but then I thought I might try scrapbook paper on this one with a clear contact paper over it. But that's going to be a big job and I haven't gotten around to it yet. I may just end going with clear contact paper on this one just to reinforce it. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

      @@DawnMichelleTarot thank you. I think I'm going to remove the top words as I can't reconciliate some of them with the meanings of the suits. Indeeed the cards are a little flimsy but I can live with that and then I probably multicolour edge it according to the colours of the suits. I'm keeping the backing as I love the colour purple and going to make a matching bag. As for the book, looked at it once never to be open again, lol. 💜

      Me too I'm curious to see what DM will be doing. I really love this deck and don't like the borders but it's difficult to trim because of the words. I did trim the goddess tarot from the same author and very happy with the result.

      Purple Moon - How much did you trim off from the Goddess Tarot? I want the deck but I really don’t like the brown borders. Wondering if all of it can be chopped off?

    • @purplemoon3816
      @purplemoon3816 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@anacoeur5261 it was very straightforward, just took the white borders and edged it with some antique gold. Easier to shuffle and looking very beautiful. A pleasure to read with. ☺️

    What brand corner rounder do you use and what one do you think sucks the most? I bought one at hobby lobby and I think it sucks and I'm heading back this Friday to return it and want to make sure I don't get another sucky one! Thanks for everything - love each and everyone of your videos! 💚

      I use the Sunstar Kadomaru Pro and I love it (link in the description box of any of my recent trimmings videos). I have also use the Aidox ones and they work pretty well too. I think the Fiskers one sucks, it ate my Crystal Visions Tarot and it was brand new one. Hope that helps! 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

    Very interesting. Thank you for sharing. I would love to hear about your failed mods some time. I just recently tried edging a copy of the Modern Spell Casters in gold with one of those super metallic sharpie golds, and it just made the cards so sticky and they feel awful. I think Im done trying to do metallic style edging from now on HA! Standard marker color edging from now on! I dont modify many of my decks though. Mostly just edging decks in black because I like to be edgy like that. (Pun intended.)

    • @DawnMichelleTarot
      @DawnMichelleTarot  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good to know, I was thinking about doing mine in one of those markers. Generally I use the brilliance ink stamps for metallic, they work pretty well, but I haven't found a good antique gold one yet. That's a good idea about my fails (and what I've learned) I will add that to my video list! 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️
