      Tehreem Asif Really?! So is about what? This kind of delusional attempts to disclaim any responsibility of an outdated and abusive set of religious principles that empower and give men excessive rights that they glad take it without qualms make me laugh out loud!!! The law of this country was constructed on religious law so yes, religion is to blame and the one who doesn’t fight it back is an accomplice.

      @Sonia Peters women are not suffering because of islam but they are actually suffering because of people who do not follow the true Islam.True Isam is all about love,acceptance and unity.Allah loves women,that is why he has implemented rules in islam which protects women.Women has a high esteem in islam.In islam, women,especially mothers are considered as an important figure which can lead a child to paradise. Women are encouraged to wear hijab in islam in order to protect them from vicious and pervert men as men are mostly attracted to the hair. In islam, a man is responsible for caring for his wife,daughter and other family members.Hence, what Im trying to say is that women are considered as significant beings inIslam

      @@andiaurelie5199 yes, of course it's the mother's fault!! These women are held by their own father and how dare the mother want to have a normal life! She wants freedom and wants to travel...? Ineta and Archie the rules of kingdoms around the world are same including all kingdoms in Europe. Even king are not allowed to travel without permission/ Guardian of the authorities. Since 30 years ago we see how those Medias attacking the British royals in UK so no wonder if those Medias know everything about the royals life who they never meet or landed at their kingdoms. on the interview the former Queen and her kids talked about during she become Queen 1- she can't always travel for holiday. At least she have been travel. I mean clearly she is ungrateful ! 2- One of her kids suffered of anorexia but her kids also said they can go shopping but the bodyguard is always around them. Royal everywhere r same u can't leave 100M from house without bodyguards. 3- her kids said all of them before work but they violated the law so they can't work anymore, they r lucky if they r not princess maybe will be jailed. 4- their kids said their live are change since their mother run to UK. Ofc this the consequences if u have been a leader of the kingdom then suddenly run to other kingdom and collaborate with the criminal Medias who always against ur own kingdom since 70 years ago. So she is so lucky if she was American or Russian she will be killed since long time ago or sleep in the Guantanamo for the rest of her life. In the history king abdullah is the best king in Saudi Arabia. Till now all Saudis men and women missing him especially the youth their greatly admire king abdullah

      Savina Bees the 4 princess and her mother has violated dozen of the kingdom laws, the former Queen is not just betrayed her husband but also violated the law by collaboration with foreign medias who against the kingdom since decades ago. Prison and palace is totally different. They living in palace with dozens of maid the only thing they can't do is travel. They still can go shopping, meet with their relative etc. If they are ordinary Saudis citizen they will be jailed 15-20 years for being a rebel and leaking secret country lucky their brothers still have powers so when their father pass away the authorities do not keep them in prison. Two of them already married in 2016-2018 btw the other two is busy work at their father humanitarian foundation.

    • @wTrevorh
      @wTrevorh 9 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      Briony Toop ...because freedom is never free. In a perfect world, it would be. But, the world as we know it is imperfect. There are men and women in various parts of the world who are living under oppression right this moment. Again, freedom is never free. It takes a lot of sacrifice to live in security and freedom, regardless if you're a man or a woman. By the way, there are many Saudi Women who completely embrace leaders like the women's late father and the rest of the family. Unfortunately, those women were born into a very patriarchal Islamic culture. Not to mention, they're looked upon as upstarts and rebels. That type of value system isn't going to be easy to get out of. Their mother has shown her face on other programs I've seen. She lives in England now. Some things can be changed, others--unfortunately--can't. Let's count our blessing.

    • @wTrevorh
      @wTrevorh 9 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Briony Toop That's exactly why my response was as it is. I wanted you to see beyond the narrow scope of feminism and more from a cultural and sociological standpoint. If you only see the issue from "a woman's point of view" you're likely to miss the full picture. The issue the princesses face is beyond their mere womanhood; it's values-driven, religion-driven, nation-driven, familial, and deeply rooted in the issue of their (non) allegiance to king and country. Only when you choose to see beyond the feminist prism, could you begin to understand the full story of these princesses' situation. Thanks for the response.

      +Violet violet Religion is a Satanic bondage. No freedom to believe, speak, talk, walk or leave. Religion can't forgive your sins or bring inner peace, joy to you. Religion set own rules. But Jesus christ came to set free from every bondages & bring peace of God above human understanding. Jesus said; Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27) Religion leads to hell, but Jesus saves from hell. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.” (Psalm 91:14-16)

      Abraham, I love Jesus as much as the next person. The only problem I have with people who believe as you do, is the exclusionary nature of your perception of religion.
      You hit on the very problem with all our major religions, and that is you believe that your way is the only path to God. So very narrow minded. Such a shame that people can't see the inherent beauty and commonality in all religions.
      Jesus message of compassion and unity for all people, and "Love one another." is one of the most beautiful we have in our world today. I wish more people, especially, those who call themselves Christians, would open their hearts to this most important aspect of Jesus' message.
      I also don't know what your message has to do with these poor women who went missing. Please God, bless them and may they be safe!

That thing about not making pictures of Mohammed because of "over worship" or idolatry, but then naming every third child Mohammed is still doing that very sin. Then people named Mohammed want to get all holier than thou when someone draws pictures of Mohammed--and each one is a freaking hypocrite without wisdom. Literally, if you're named "Mohammed" you need to shut the f' up about folks drawing pics of the prophet and ask your parents about their idolatry. If they are mocking Islam, they sure as shit are not "Idolating", why attack??? Cartoonists have committed no sin, they aren't even Muslim. And a "peaceful religion" bans any and all holy texts not Islam. Why? Why do Muslims have such a difficult time practicing their religion without also needing the government to be Muslim as well and literally ban other religions? Why are Muslims also always "separatists"???

    I lived in Jeddah near this compound for 9 years in the 80's and drove by it almost daily. I knew that a princess and her children lived here. The place was lit up at night like a stadium and the perimeter was always guarded. I never knew that this would be the fate of the daughters. It is disheartening and disgraceful. However, they touched on a point that is sadly true. It is not 'just' them but many women suffer this same kind of fate. It is not only men that suppress women - there is just as much oppression that comes from other women. It is sad that in a country where women are educated and have such potential to contribute to their society are instead held back. Any woman that tries to actually use her education must fight for her dignity and respect. I learned Arabic as I wanted to understand the ideals of the people I was living among. It is a complicated society - no doubt. I do not advocate a mirror of Western society for Saudi Arabia as this is an ignorant notion. However, change must come to the Kingdom from the royals and from the society at large. It is incumbent upon all to participate in that change for the better of all of its people of which women... are people. I wish for these women and all women of Saudi Arabia to see a productive freedom in their lives as they have much to offer to their families and their society.

    Every woman born in the West should be incredibly thankful. You are so lucky and privileged to be treated as human beings. I’m so jealous because, where I come from, we’re not treated this way. Women are often locked up, figuratively and literally, like those so-called 'princesses' who are supposedly treated the best. If that’s how they’re treated, imagine how ordinary women like us are.
    We’re not seen as individuals but as possessions, controlled by male figures-fathers, brothers, husbands-throughout every aspect of our lives. We have no right to make decisions for ourselves, no autonomy.
    So, please, be grateful for the freedoms you have, for the ability to choose, live, and thrive as human beings.

      @@belibre3067 no, my dad is insane and has issues with being given up. I have schizophrenia too, but it's easier on the women, don't know why. He always tries to trap people with him because they will not stay. We want to survive and also not deal with his insanity and bizarre punishments. He will try to destroy you and gain control. He and his bio-mom found each other. He is abusing his bio-mom now, by having her committed on false pretexts, along with the police whom my dad told them that she had Alzheimer's. She was put into a nursing home for a week. She's off but not harmful. She writes papers and books about adoption in her free time. I wonder what her files will say. My doctors wouldn't write anything about Russia except when my mom said I thought I had some relationship with him. They changed everything and lied a lot. Anyway, they let her out and put her back into my dad's care. I warned her. It's doubtful she will ever escape. Since I'm female, it was easy to commit me to a hospital... However, my grandma, who my dad likes to talk about how she likes it raw and hard and was swinger, did it to help me. He tries to find out info and facebook stalks us, especially my mother. Oddly enough, that grandma he said that about initially thought I should see him as he is my father. After I came back for the last time, we agreed to no more of that line. I finally left society and am in a facility. This time, they believed me. I was crazy when I came back and stressed. I will never go back to his care, and I will probably only see him one more time at another grandma's funeral. He passed HS on a social grant, but due to being stupid, he's adapted and is manipulative. Let me tell you his brilliance. He thought the blazes were set off by the government because they didn't have any in Canada. He was looking at a map of the US. Thanks, everyone. I blow a kiss to the FBI. They destroyed my brain. I must be happy and frolic into the sunset. "Try, Try, Try" by Smashing Pumpkins. I'm used to paying for him. I'm also used to him hurting me if he had a bad day of work. He doesn't keep a job for long because that's about the time they figure it out, about after 6 months to a year. He makes it longer if he goes to weasel world. He ends up causing people to freak out and run. One of his employees got the privilege of being harassed because he came from old money. This guy was bipolar but fairly normal. His family had dried up, but we all know why he was friendly. God knows, surprises like the FBI will attempt to force me back again. I'll make a scene in those overpriced restaurants.

      @@belibre3067 random, blah, blah but I think the FBI could use an outstanding secret agent: my dad. They're about the same caliber. One day, these people will apologize. In the meantime, we need to talk about a few subjects and this internet thing. The blob that consumers everything while creating nothing. Watch out! It's coming! Is your data safe? They knew who was going to pay for all of this. That's right, we're parasites. I gave up on them. I've worked and gone to school and had insane schedules. The fact that they knocked me down was stupid. I can't compete anyway nor can I safely work. I tried everything to beat them, and if we could follow the rules they go by, we'd be winners, too.

I visited Saudi Arabia twice and I can confidently say that this kind of abuse happens there but there is also alot of women who are free and not detained, thank God for that. But we have to do something about the other women who are being controlled by their fathers and husbands. It's truly sad.
