Sometimes I think that’s the only reason outside of money this show was made in the first place what I mean is the writers had to think of stuff to somehow continue the story despite the otherwise satisfying conclusion and Willians lack of closure was the only thing they had a concrete idea of where to take it
Original title: "The Codeless" I love this episode. It reinforces how devious XANA is and tries to manipulate William. And Odd's contribution into helping with the attack without codes is hilarious despite getting into trouble. I do not see why they have to get mad at Odd for showing them how predictable they are.
For those haven't realized yet, Jeremy could have easily rematerialized William when he started hunting down Yumi, but he didn't. He instead tries to reason with and talk him out making a decision he may later regret. This shows how much Jeremy has come to trust William and had faith that he would make the right decision.
Xana implements something that prevents Jeremy from devirtualizing him. This was seen in season 3 of the original series that's why Jeremy could never just devirtualize Aelita.
Seeing how XANA was nearby, and William is the closest human contact with the AI, maybe something prevented him from doing so. But alas, no explanation, just conjecture.

I love this episode. It's satisfying seeing William letting some of those inner feelings come out into the light so that Yumi, and Jeremie can see what he's truly feeling.

Everyone in evolution has less fighting skills than the original. 80% of the "fighting" is someone swinging, the enemy moving out of the way and punching/kicking them in the side. Animators seem to know nothing about fight choreography.

Another ironic continuation episode, considering Odd was the mvp of the previous episode. I think it's stupid that Odd considers himself useless because he lost all his code. He can still lend his support to the team in battle. Odd's not that stupid. They're doing a good job at showing Xana's increased strength. Stronger targets, phase through walls (which is a huge buff), can create competent clones of other Lyoko warriors, etc. Evil William. They sure got me. Ever since like episode 4, I assumed I was spoiled because I saw the Evil William thumbnail everywhere, despite being nowhere near this episode. As it turns out, it was just a clone instead of William being possessed again. Well played.
I have to admit. This is my favorite episode. XANA trying to manipulate William and William getting the closure he needed made for a very good episode.
This show isn't that bad. Though we would have preferred to have in done in 2d and 3D animation like its predecessor, we at least have the extra season that we all wanted. My favorite part about this season is William finally gets the chance to be a real Lyoko Warrior. I do wish that the show at least ran 2 or 3 seasons, with Tyron still as an antagonist. This season did seem a little rushed and would have been better to see a true reunion between Aelita and her mother.

Odd's in trouble only because he was trying to help the others. The least they could do is help him with his community service so that he doesn't have to do it alone all alone. That's like being told you've gotta be slapped fifty times in the face for saving someone's life.
The idea was so English listeners get he's singing a popular kid's song. Most of the subtitles don't match up directly to what they're saying, especially when it's a cultural thing like that or a figure of speech. The idea is that the subtitles reflect good writing. Direct translation would read very weird.

William was HEAVILY underutilized in the OG series. He could’ve returned in the penultimate arc and be officially a part of the main cast. Just have Xana make a copy of him like this series, so Xana can have a body and be a reminder of William’s failures. Then coming full circle when William helps stop Xana and defeats his counterpart. Something akin to Dino-Thunder and Tommy from Power Rangers. Even in the epilogue episode, his scenes don’t feel as impactful.

This is trash in my opinion, not even close to what Code Lyoko was. The 3D in Lyoko is just so bad compared to the past, the animation is really bad and the lighting so bad, and it also changed some models like the tower, just so bad. Also the plot does not make sense, how can Xana not devirtualize Yumi or William when it had the chance? Also, the shock you get by going from real life footage to Lyoko is just so much, this anime should have stayed cartoon forever. I don't like it, as a Code Lyoko fan I watched this new episodes because it has always been our desire since some years ago, but just so bad, it is just not Code Lyoko. I really missed the action that the original series had, and the music which was amazing.

Also, the shock you get by going from real life footage to Lyoko is just so much, this anime should have stayed cartoon forever. I don't like it, as a Code Lyoko fan I watched this new episodes because it has always been our desire since some years ago, but just so bad, it is just not Code Lyoko. I really missed the action that the original series had, and the music which was amazing.

i have to ask, who's been translating these? my french isn't worth a dime, but i can still tell when the subtitles aren't even close to the actual dialogue. i can understand for localisation reasons there would have to be differences, but i'm noticing it when it's not even necessary

This episode definitely has it's ups and downs. William's side of the story is definitely the highlight, while the stupidity of Odd's plan was the lowpoint. Seriously, he trapped his friends in that bunker with no way out, making it easy for Xana to grab them. Also, it was really stupid of Aelita and Ulrich to just stand there when the Specter was clearly stunned, they could've made a break for it

I been code lyoko fan for as long as I remember I watched it send it came out as just cartoon and knew about Evolution a few years later I waited for the dub since 2015 and as I understand there is no official dub but only Episode 5 as I understand. I’m trying contact to contact the company who own code lyoko Evolution to offer Financial support to get official dub going and uploaded in TH-cam. I’m not trying to make money out of it or anything I’m just simply a huge fan we believe not only me would like a dub to have for Evolution I believe I got what it takes and more to make it happen. Of course I do have other reasons for me to want official dub to be out but none of my reasons is to make money out of it or be famous or anything. I just want dub episodes to be made uploaded to your office channel and I don’t want any Credit for it and I want to pay for all process. Can’t believe William deliberately tries to betray the group like that & they let it slide, but Laura literally goes out of her way to help them & they treat her like dogs*** 😑 This is a big problem with this show: the inconsistencies with the characters are wild & in many ways they’ve regressed from how they were by the end of the original show.
