To summarize: basically every card in this tin either stayed at it's previous rarity (especially the SCR and commons) or got rarity bumped (UR --> SCR) but we got no rarity drops at all AND it's a 400 card set. Surely these tins won't rot on shelves for a year clueless

To pull any specific Secret is literally a 1 in 100 chance, a case only has 36 pulls you need at least 3 cases to be on par to pull any specific secret. that's just odds. If you go into this product wanting anything specific then the odds aren't with you.
@@four-en-tee It's a 1 in 100 chance to pull. what would short printing it change? a case is 36 pulls that isn't anywhere close to par for pulling a specific secret. like before calling short print or that make sure you do the maths on average without short printing the odds would be about 1 S:P every 3 cases but that is a average don't buy 3 cases assuming you will pull it.
I believe this will be the last time Konami makes tins. After the heavy backlash they have received, next year nobody will put their money on a set called mega tins anymore.
My main complaint with these tins are the commons, they should be at least 200 instead of 100(I mean, commons are the least represented rarity in this set but also the bulk of your pulls? that doesn't even make sense conceptually) they could've added the missing cards for most of these archetypes and maybe an entire archetype like Tistina or Ghoti as common, but nope the commons here are an entirely waste of cardboard, waste of ink, trees were pointlessly cut for these commons that nobody will ever play to give meaning to their sacrifice, it's such a shame.
Yep, that's my plan too. I'll buy tins from my local store to support them, but that's it. They really needed to do better with the ratios or include a set of random promos with this one.
Imagine buying a CASE of the mega tins, wich should supply pricy reprint of the last year and you pull 0 money cards. ZERO Wanted, imsety ,SP, Typhon, Trust, chaos angel, quem rollback and so much more. Cool to open, fun cards, but infurating to see konami throw trash at us
I'd argue the opening experience is mid. Sure the QCR is nice and a lot of variety, but there are 2 cards per pack that matter. There's almost nothing good in Ultra and nothing noteworthy at common.
I encourage everyone not to buy this garbage, not even the singles. Don't encourage tcg Konami to keep treating you like garbage directly or indirectly. They don't deserve a cent for how they reciprocate the loyalty of players.

I had to cancel my preorder when I saw the list and the increasing number of garbo QCRs. I have no ill will towards the Gadgets, for example, but they have no place taking up valuable space in a set that's supposed to have high-value reprints. Fortunate that Flipside was quick to give me my money back.

The only way to change this, is spending money on exclusively well designed products aka. Structure decks, rarity collection 1 instead of this tin or the 2 player starter. If they won't get their investment back on these products, they will stop producing them and approach their future productdesign differently.
Honestly, I get physical pain seeing how trash these tins are. I really wanna know what the thought process was when designing this set. Half the set is QCR or Secrets and they only put 1 each in one booster, 3 in toal for every tin. Vendors would need to rip multiple cases to have enough chase cards to sell, players don't even have a realistic chance to get their favourite cards. Not to mention that the set constellation is nonsensical. Why put freaking Wannabee as a secret? Why did they not include the rest of the Vanquish Soul? Why did they skip Tears yet again? A reprint set like the mega tin should make cards people may have missed more accessable. This is the product you can lure in new players and make your current playerbase happy. Instead they made a product that just angers everyone. I just wish I could go straight to Konami and the product designer what drugs they took because no sane people would design this fancy trash bin.

Back in the day tins were the way to finally get your hands on expensive cards then in 2021 they threw in structure deck cards and then it was hit or miss good or bad. Thanks to Walmart over charging on yugioh cards, buying singles on tcgplayer is easier.
did someone also notice that he pulled like 3 or 4 exact similary packs over those 12 tins? not only the one he mentioned I counted at minimum 3 different packs that were exactly the same. These packs are mapped....
qcr is 3 per tin in a pool of 50, while pscr have a pool of 100, despite having also 3 per tin. qcr is the only rarity with kinda acceptable ratios of foil cards in this product

It really aucks to say, but i feel like these tins are not worth the money. The pool of secret rares is too large to reliably get anything you would want, and it really hurts that almost all the good cards only went UP in rarity instead of down. I was hoping to get the centurion stuff, but seeing they are ALL at secret after being ultras is a slap in the face.

I'm at 3 Alt art Dark Magician Girls out of 5 tins from retail. Decided like Retro pack I want to chase a Blue eyes so I ordered a case for $150 really couldn't beat it.
you had a few instances of the 5 set of holos being the exact same there... interesting, predetermined patterns for them is not promising. Guess getting a case is bad and random grabs are better

My biggest gripe with this set is that TOKENS take up two of the prismatic secret slots. Openned two tins at the weekend cause my friend got them early and in one pack we pulled a shiny token.

This is like my 4th case opening video, and I haven't seen S:P, Diabellstar, Ty-Phon, Dis Paster, Chaos Angel, Triple Tactics thrust, Poplar etc... I'd cry if I bought 4 cases and didn't at least 1 of each of those cards. Of the 50 QCRs in the set, 4 of them are chase cards, of the 99 Pris secrets, 9 of them are chase cards. Out of the 149 hugh rarity cards in the set, 13 of them are good. This is ridiculous considering you only get 6 meaningful cards a tin
