    I love how all these salty gym rats on here are getting mad because these guys have achieved a better body with calisthenics without touching a weight or machine. Truth hurts guys, but everything the fitness industry has led you to believe is a lie. You don't need weights, supplements or all these fancy machines. Your own body will always be the greatest and most convenient tool. Nothing wrong with going to the gym either, just don't be 100% dependent on it. Learn how to use your surroundings outside the gym every once in awhile as well

    Solid interview. Finally you guys interview some dudes that aren't spouting bullshit about macros, metaphysics, spirituality or lying about their drug usage. My kind of athletes; simple training methods, simple dietary approach, simple outlook on life. Keep it basic, put the effort in and reap the rewards.

    People talking about steroids and genetics... Really? It´s pretty obvious most people don´t understand how the human body and mind works. Like they said, if you can walk you can dance, if you are a human being you can achieve anything. We have the genetics to achieve greatness if we have the will to do it, "simple as that"!

    • @deesquared7522
      @deesquared7522 8 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      people need excuses to justify themselves not achieving something. Its a way to make themselves feel better. Dont pay mind to that. Like he said "if you can talk, you can sing and if you can walk, you can dance". Just believe in yourself and be patient and persistent.

    seeing these guys do it on just rice chicken fish and bread no supplements or anything makes me want to quit taking supps. Its so costly and unnecessary. Just put it in the work everyday and eat clean and it gains will come

    • @wandererstraining
      @wandererstraining 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Preem Ditch the supplements, so long as you eat enough of the right foods, you won't need them.

    • @pmodd
      @pmodd 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Preem I don't bother taking supplements either (I'd buy protein powder and forget to take it), and I'm plenty strong. Sure I don't have massive bulk like some guys I see at the gym, but the numbers are there and I weigh the same for equal height as guys that look much bigger. It's all down to time and patience.
      Supplements get you that size or those numbers faster, but it's not like you can't get strong using natural foods... that's where it all started for humans. Those guys have been training in calisthenics since they were seven, whereas weight training with supplements can get you to the same level of bulk in a few years... you just won't be as strong and will lose size more easily.

    • @wandererstraining
      @wandererstraining 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      pmodd I don't think you won't be as strong and lose muscle size more easily. In the end, a protein is a protein, and when it takes a long time to build your body up, your body gets used to being jacked.

    • @pmodd
      @pmodd 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      wandererstraining I'm just going off my own personal experiences, which may well differ from that of others. Heard all sorts of things in the past 25 years of training, but what I've said aligns best with my personal observations. By no means am I saying that I'm right and everyone else is wrong, as the topic is a hotbed of conflicting ideas.
      That aside and ignoring the issue that protein quality and absorbtion rates actually do vary, when I say "supplements" I'm not exclusively talking about Whey Protein. There is so much other shit that people take, such as Creatine, NO Boosters, BCAAs, Carnitine, HMCs, ZMA, Beta Ecdysterone, etc.
      Sure, you can get these things in natural food, but the quantity and timing of consumption is radically different. I've never met anyone who eats 400g of raw fish and cooked chicken immediately before and during a training session, but I see dudes getting the same amount of protein/creatine by chugging shakes whilst working out.
      If you can get the exact amounts of everything in your diet at the exact time you need it, it stands to reason that you will develop faster. Stop the training due to injury and take all that shit away to avoid getting fat, and you might lose it faster than normal, because you've changed the dietary intake to which the body has adapted. The guys that have a natural diet simply eat a little less of their regular food due to the lack of exercise, but the food sources are the same.

    • @wandererstraining
      @wandererstraining 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      pmodd I guess I'm probably an exception, as I regularly eat lots of salmon and chicken. Like, I eat 2-3 lbs of chicken 2-3 times/week for dinner. When I train before work, straight after training, I take noodles with veggies and double chicken to go and eat it on my way to work.When I don't work, straight after training, I go eat some sushi, with an emphasis on sockeye salmon sashimi. And every morning, I eat 6-8 extra large eggs and then head straight to the gym. And I often bring with me snacks to eat between my sets (nuts, fruits) to keep my energy high.
      I also usually don't stop training when I get injured, I work around it as much as possible as I always find something to do. The only case I can think of that could be bad enough would be if something happened to my back.
      But then again, my weight has been consistent for the last few years.

    Genetics only means who gets to that shape quicker....everybody can get into that body shape or similar if they put in the work, consistently over years and years I mean minimum 5 years and you eat healthy and keep the body fat off you will look toned and muscular.
