I love how CG adds a mechanic, like GAS countering, and then they just say "no we don't want this to be easy with GAS, so... You can't counter phoenix"
I finally unlocked my seven star Thrawn today, and I’m about to unlock CLS soon. I just unlocked Jedi Knight Revan a couple weeks ago, and I’m just farming who I like.
I'm going for SLKR currently. Eventually, you have to be more specific about what characters to farm, especially with all the galactic legends in the game now. I'm wanting darth malgus for my darth revan team
Honestly, thats the way to play in swgoh, no tedious and sad boi hours on the grind for a GL unless thats what your going for then by all means. Its best to go for who you want and grind at your own pace, nice and simple.
I beat it, three stars, with Padme. My squad was Padme at R5, JKA at R5, Ahsoka at R5, GK at R8, and GMY at R8. My first attempt I quit cause I had almost won when GK died and I wanted to three star it. Two or three attempts I quit because I had a character die in the initial salvo. Then I won it three stars no problem. Maybe I had fantastic RNG, but given that I did it once and was close another time I don't think that's a coincidence.
Padme did the trick for me as well, I used C-3PO at R3 instead of GMY, and got it done. Damage from enemy was gnarly though, I wonder if a lower relicced GK would struggle. Rest of my relics were the same.
This Maul one wasn't that hard and is pretty affordable. I did Captain Rex lead, Arc, Fives, Echo, and CLS (only did CLS cuz he was the healthiest light side person I had). The goal is to use Drain essence for the bonus turn and form up to take another one. You'll ariel advantage everyone out and them attacking you feeds TM so you'll gain turns a lot. The two things you need to succeed or else you fail is five's sacrifice on Rex so he stays around longer and Rex surviving. The last slot could be any Light Side member as long as they live long enough to be a target

I got 3 stars easily using Padme, GK, JKA, C3PO and Windu. And funnily enough my SEE + Sith empire team got destroyed so I couldn’t get 3 stars using him. The high relics on the Padme team weren’t even necessary either.
Used GAS 501st (admittedly R7). I found the ideal takedown order was Sabine (to stop unnecessary armour shreds & she's probably the weakest), then work on Ezra. When Rex gets to AA, use it on Zeb. Then all the damage dealers are out.
I used Padme, Anni, Snips, GK, and C3PO. Got 3 stars on both my accounts. You do have to play smart keeping your squad healthy and using courage for attack, but it is definitely doable with minimal restarts. You could probably use any GR substitute for C3PO.
I beat the Maul part using in this order JNLS (R7), JNR(R6), GAS(R6), GMY(R8), Shaak(R7). I stunned them any time I could. All my toons survived. Kill order, HS, SW, ZEB, EB, KJ, CHOP.
But with the sacrifice you're talking about you won't 3 star...that's key so you don't have rely on rng the next time proving grounds roll around...I still have yet to figure it out

Thank you very much for this video. Got it after a bunch of losses... My team: JKLS + GAS + Anakin + Jolee + General Kenobi Couldn't do it with Reven and/or Hermit Yoda. Armor shred is essencial. Plus, I needed to mod Jolee to have as much health and speed as possible, to ressurect Kenobi every now and then...
My GP is 7.3m GP and I still can't beat the Maul tier. I tried with GAS and 501s, tried with Padme team, tried with JML team. Nothing worked so far. I don't want to try each 50 times and hope for good RNG. It's just a terrible event.
I did mine with separatist with GG 1 star but finished it. Was able to do the ability on GG and just went through a long cd cycle of stun locking and removing TM with the spinning blades.
4 months later and I’m kinda curious to see how Aphra would work in PG. I wish we could still do them after getting all the shards so we could test different teams.
JKL worked for me as well. I used JKL, GK, JKR, hoda, and bastilla. I actually used the bonus ability to keep JKL attacking and to cool down his stun. Managed to three star it.
For ahsoka, get a high level enfy, relic 3 or so and a high level darth traya, relic 3. Put traya as lead. With only those 2 i eventually killed that one.
@@hajkie thanks a lot. I don’t have the Enfys level unlocked yet. And Traya is not relic’d. It takes so long those days to relic characters. Back a couple of years ago, it was so much easier without having to pay $$.
I just got my first legendary and he is not relic'd. I beat it with galactic republic. Padme, c3po, commander ahsoka, ahsoka and jedi knight anakin. relic 3-5. my 501'st did nothing. can't counter
Tried with R7 DR/Malak/Bast/HK/Assassin, and also replacing HK with Talon. Destroyed. Also tried R4-7 JKR/Bast/Yoda/Jolee/Juhani, absolutely mutilated. Tried some variants with Vader. I 100% cannot penetrate this team.
I have relic 6-8 characters being taken out by relic 3 sims… dumb and offensive. JKLS, JMLS, Old Ben, Hermit Yoda, General Skywalker was successful for two stars.
I beat it easily with SEE/Wat/Armorer/Malak/Brood Alpha but only got 1 star. Also beat it with JML/JKL/JKR/HYoda/Wat but it took FOREVER and got 3stars. Super tough event, wish my Phoenix team was a third of the strength of the event squad.
I don't think anyone wants to die . It's sad both sides work together sometimes and then have become friends and I can't say anything else. But I will always love Star Wars and would love to teach the ways of the force . Thanks GUYS and GIRLS
I have achieved my first Relic, APGAINS. Darth Vader has now achieved his ultimate power. Now. I have to bloat my gp because CG is money hungry and loves to make barriers for no reasons

Use the typical Padme team and you get easy 3 stars on the Maul Proving ground.

depends on rng R7 padme R8 gk R6 JKA R5 3po R5 ahzoka (R6 gas and shaak tu sometimes ) and can barely make it 2 stars
I used padme with cat but idk if cat is necessary
All GLs are not a guarantee. A R7 SEE definitely needs Wat or some kind of premium lineup to babysit him
Padme worked for me. Basically focused on taking out their attackers first (Ahsoka clearing taunt) and then it took awhile but got tanks down.
Padme with c3p0, GK, GM Yoda, and JMK (no Ultimate) worked for me. Everything else failed even JMK lead

I just beat this with replacing CLS with Malak. RNG was on my side at some point lol

Here's what I did:
RC 3*- R7 EP, R7 Vader, R3 DR, R5 Malak, R5 Traya
CAT 3*- R7 CLS, R8 Chewpio, R5 3PO, R5 Chewie, R6 Han
Maul 1*- Same Sith team as above, only Malak survived.

I am new to proving grounds. How much shards do we get and what is the frequency and duration of the event?
every month after Conquest, and 20 shard each
It’s a way for CG to get Rich quick off of the ppl who never got the conquest units.
You made this event possible for me. I never would’ve thought of a JKLS lead. My GLs failed me even. But I 3*-d them all thanks to your suggestion.

Padme with cat also works. Key is keeping Kenobi alive. So ad atleast 1 more healer besides Padme
I have GAS and I get nowhere near close to beating them there is no way that works.
i did LV, and it wasnt too bad, I used the event button a couple time to get extra dots. after a few minutes LV just wipes them

I'm at a loss, GAC and Arc at R8, Fives, Rex, and Echo at R7 and I can't kill even one enemy character. Tried swapping arc far Ahsoka, same thing.
That's because they AOE us at the start of the battle, but doesn't AOE at all in his video

My Padme team walked through it I just killed Sabine Ezra Hera and the remaining 3 couldn’t get past General Kenobi

I don’t know if this was luck, but I found padme with cat worked pretty well
A Padme team with JMK placed in the lineup works fine. Doesn't have to be killer modded or super relic'd to beat the lineup for Maul.

I beat it with a relic 8 SLKR team. But only SLKR was left standing. I’ll try CLS next month

In my case I use Padme team and it was very easy
I was able to beat it with Padme, GAS, GK, Anakin and Ahsoka and not too high of relics (7 for Anakin and GK but 4 for the rest)
My Imperial Troopers went through it fine in under 10 attempts.
I have a 5 mil GP account and can’t beat any of these levels. It is absolutely ridiculous how hard these are.

I used padme and got 3* so now I never have to play it again
I did it with Supreme Kylo. Going ultimate and hard using the event ability, i did a colossal damage in a only hit.
Padme is a good way too.
relic 9 SEE dies like a bleeping fly in this event, this is ridiculous
I got 3 star using padme just had to restart until you had a good start then wasn’t hard.
Worst part is that they’re immune to fear. My Darth Revan team is the only team that can actually compete with them 🙃

My SLKR team got destroyed but my padme team was able to win it without loosing anybody so i was able to sim it.
r8 Kenobi and r7 JKA rest was r5
dont have either of these teams im so screwed
GL Kylo, Kylo unmasked, Wampa, Darth Vader and Wat Tambor worked for me.
I got it 2 star with palp, Mara, Vader, Piett and Han Solo.
Ugh. I beat the RC mission finally, can't pull off Maul or CAT though. :(

The CAT tier can be beaten with like traya nihilus ans nest all R3

i Made it with Padmé, the classic formation with c3po, it took me a few tries ando finally Made it with 2 stars (general kenobi didnt make it)
I did it with a Rey team, but it wasn't as easy as i expected (only Rey lived).
It was like that for me with cat tier too I used slkr fo and seriously slkr just about lived and beat it hanging by a thread
I found this challenge no worries at all. I just pushed the "I Win" button with SEE.

I beat the maul tier pretty easy actually, I used JKLS ... Ironically I can't beat Maul in the CAT tier
Padme with C3PO and Yoda (speed mods) and you’ll be good. GK will need to be tanky as hell. Padme needs speed to get loads of heals.
These have to be relic 8 teams… my relic 8 slkr almost went down on all of them
JML, JEdi Luke, JK Revan, Hoda, Jolee……….focusing on getting Hera down 1st every chance you get

GAS R7 501st R3 Counter is such BS. If you got it to work it was after about 501 restarts with the most perfect RNG ever imaginable.
JKL does wonders, managed to 3 star due to Jolee reviving Revan 3 times.
