Great topic here Jeff. I’ve been there too and in some ways still am. Thank you!

Most of my childhood was marred by the fall-out of my parents getting ostracized by a gossipy, self-involved church. They didn't give up on their faith, but both myself and brother felt the reluctance to over-extend themselves(and ourselves) to commit to a church that may repeat the pattern.
Most of the people that I talk to feel that Christians are preachy, judgemental, and perpetuating a "holier than thou" attitude that is not a reflecting of Christ's love and doesn't draw them in.
Being as we all know the problem with American Christianity, we should be going out of our way to "be the change we want to see in the world", and finding individual ways to introduce these folks to the One who changes lives and renews minds.
I found a church with people I am glad to hang my hat with and proud to have relate to my children.
Most of the hang-ups we have regarding church are our own. The adversary has centuries of practice exploiting our weaknesses and helping us make excuses for our shortcomings.
God bless you guys, and keep up the good work.
How about a show on modern miracles? Few believe in them anymore, and we look to the "magic" of television and movies to fill us with a sense of false wonder.
