    Just finished repasting and replacing the thermal pads. Worked wonders for my laptop!
    CPU from 95°C to 85°
    GPU from 89°C to 69°
    Thank you for this video!
    Also a tip for anyone who is new to this like myself: make sure to get a couple pads because 1 was barely enough 😅

    Very good video. Managed to repaste mine and clear out the dust. Perfectly good instructions and nice to appear through all the unscrewing.
    Thanks!

    So my results:
    GPU: Idle 50-46C ->38-37C
    In Game (Nier Replicant Max settings 2k uncapped frames) 86C -> 50C With a 10-20 Fps increase.
    CPU: Idle (No underclock/undervolt) 48-56 -> 38-40
    In Game: (Same as Above) 88-93C ->60-73 (Depending on actions/scenes)
    Notes:
    -Old temps were recorded with a window fully open and cold air rushing trough the room and a significant underclock, the new ones are at room temperature, heating on and stock frequencies.
    -On startup I used to have peaks of 80/90C (Into the 100s) now peak is 73.
    Paste used MX5.
    Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

      quite different..done it before, you need to be extra careful while using the liquid metal cause its elect. conductive and risk of short circuit..put few drops then spread it gradually with paste spreader but leave few mm around the edges of the die..don't put too much.

    Hello there everyone, am trying to clean my fans although is appears that I need to remove the whole cooling system in order to clean the fans, or is there another way on this particular laptop?

    • @TakeThatScrewOut
      @TakeThatScrewOut  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you really need to clean them thoroughly..you have to remove them, but alternatively, you can clean the fans by just removing the backcover to have access of the fans, then use a high pressure pc Air Blower. Hope this helps. Thanks for the comment.

    is it easy to remove the Keyboard?
    what happens if I disconnect from the keyboard ribbon from the motherboard and use an external keyboard?
    Is the laptop going to switch on and boot normally even with the internal keyboard disconnected?

    • @TakeThatScrewOut
      @TakeThatScrewOut  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its not easy tovremove the Keyboard..its time consuming to be honest..you'll need to remove the whole board enable to access the keyboard mount..i suggest if you want to use external keyboard, just connect it to any available usb port without disabling the built in keyboard.

      @@TakeThatScrewOut I found out that it is easy to remove the keyboard ribbon and have the internal keyboard physically disconnected. You just remove the battery and then you get access to the ribbon.
