I'm not rushing to finish this oil painting in time for this vlog! I'm setting new art practice guidelines for myself in my new studio. A lot of social media forces artists to keep creating new artworks faster and faster, but that's not always healthy for our creativity. So I'm taking my time with this painting and focusing on refining details like lighting and clothing that I typically rush through. I'm also decorating my living in this vlog with a new rug and building an entertainment stand! I included some clips from my trip to the Art Institute to see their Van Gogh exhibit, which I loved.
