Okay so Yasuke is kick down the door brawler. So I assuming that he is weeding out corrupt Samurai under the protection of Oda Nobunaga which is why they all don't simply don't gang up on him with a large force because doing that will violate Nobunaga's will and the rest of his retainers like Niwa Nagahide and Shibata Katsuie will in turn smite them for killing Yasuke. And since the collectible Yasuke statue is carrying Hashiba/Toyotomi banner I assume after Nobunaga's death he has Hashiba Hideyoshi protection through at least the Battle of Yamazaki. I am assuming you have to kill Akechi Mitsuhide as Yasuke which is funny because Mitsuhide send his black ass back to the Portuguese.
I am still looking forward to playing this game two years from now on a black friday sale 85% off though. But that's because of Ubisoft monetization not because of Yasuke.

Ubisoft is very good when comes to presentations. I'll give them that.
I could see the game having potential in there but the presentation was bad.
Jesse has been pitching the same AC in WWII trailer for 11 years. I hope Ubisoft finally listens one day lol
Fr imagine a hand-patched hood over the soldier's head. Dodges rounds while darting between footholds to a patrol with a ladder and sets it up with under cover of his own hip-fire.
WWII AC is basically how most of the Sniper Elite play-throughs I do turn out. Spend 99% of the game stealth take-downing.
Churchill would dress up as a old cult nerd in a robe giving you missions from the ...shadows. and he appears in different regions in behind enemy lines.
But man, how many years, ten, twelve years you throwing that idea. Im in for it.

A WWI or WWII AC has always been high on my list of desired settings. They teased it with AC Syndicate where you played as Evie's daughter (I believe they were her daughter...). Imagine a World War game set in France.

Gameplay looks better than recent AC games, world is beautiful, but I find the voice acting just sounds bad, both how they're written and said
Edit - I should say I had the same problem with the last AC game I tried playing which was Odyssey. So many quests where I skipped thru because the dialogue was so bad
You know why its bad? Because its shallow, NPCs say exactly what they think and are one tone, if you are the hero that all you are, no flaws no gray areas...

I like how they are being historically accurate and totally not on the nose to play hip-hop for Yasuke.

3:56 no he went back to west after his “”Lord”” was defeated but considering he was pretty much a prisoner while he was there you could say he managed to escape (it dosnt matter if the cage is gilded and made to look comfortable and the prisoner is looked after it’s still a cage and they still can’t leave).
This game would be at least 15% better if they included the music from Nujabes [here the Samurai Champloo OST].

The stealth section reminded me strongly of Tenchu. A PS1 game that was a strong influence on my love of stealth games.
I love ya Jesse, but fuck Ubisoft lol. Their business practices have bothered me too much and they need to change course if I ever consider buying their stuff again :P
I'm a big AC fan, enjoyed all the games. I was going to play this one either way, but the gameplay they showed seems REAL fun, love all the stuff with exploiting shadows with Naoe, and how visceral the combat with Yasuke feels. I'm excited.

Jesse saying this is very cool. Me thinking, Why is she wearing black, they would not be wearing black, and their historian they uses would know that very well. 1 black reflects moonlight. 2. black was very expensive to make, instead they would had been wearing a dark blue, which also would make it much more easy to blend into the crowd. Or even better common clothing.
I know they're saying "Yasuke." Though I can't help but hear "Yas King" every time

Jesse's AC pitch could actually work, seeing as Hitler was under the influence or directly affiliated with the Templars in the game's lore. Though Roosevelt would probablt not be the Assassin contact since he was also under Templar influence. Unless they were to make him some sort of double agent...

Especially the writing and voice acting..
It even has the same gameplay choice as Ghost of Tsushima where you can play as a samurai or as an assassin, it's not subtle. 😂
Although the actual assassin gameplay, or Ninja in this case I suppose, seems fun enough.
the stealth reminds me of the old Splinter Cell games

After having played Ghost Of Tsushima, this felt like a cheap damage sponge copy
You know what Naoe's gameplay reminds me of? The old Tenchu games. The gameplay shown in the presentation actually looks really good
Its gonna be repetitive, filled with microtransactions and basic combat, just like the usual Ubi slop.
Ubisoft is a wait for sale and I play it sat back on the sofa when I am bored

Not a big fan of the "Action" style of Assassin's Creed, but the stealth looks *Fantastic*.. Really brings back memories of Tenchu Z. The silly hooks, the wall-hanging, The MGS-bellycrawl. It's very silly but looks pretty good as far as a game goes. I *Really* hope the higher difficulties will make it better tho, Standing literally on an edge infront of a guard no more than 10 meters away? but invisible cuz it's a little darker under you rfeet? Definately a shame.
Long as that's better, I think i'll Assassin's Creed Black Flag that game. yar har
Shout-out to the hip-hop remix of the usual Japanese music when Yasuke fights haha, what a joke. I was excited for an AC game focusing on Yasuke, but this just feels like a joke by comparison, especially with Yasuke stuck in the role of a brawler by comparison to the real Assassin/Ninja, Naoe. I wish Yasuke was the Assassin, and we got to see him trying to balance his role in the Brotherhood with his position as Samurai, and have that possibly be the difference in approach, Assassin or Samurai, not Yasuke or Naoe.

It kind of looked like it had the same weighty combat as Valhalla. I personally enjoyed Odyssey's quick and agile combat more so we'll see how it turns out
I'm getting kind of sick of the souls-esque combat that seems to be in every action game these days, so I hope it doesn't go back down in that direction.
Not gonna lie, I was 100% on board with Jesse's AC idea... then he got to the reveal and I realized it was the most Jesse idea I've heard in a long while.
After the glorious soundtrack in the trailer I do have interest in the game. I pray that there's at least one frame of Yasuke holding a flintlock sideways. Do it, you French cowards, we know you want to!

It may have come out of the maw of a soulless beast, but the game didn't look too bad.
Ironically I liked the hip-hop inspired music *far* more than I thought I would've. Like it never took me out of it while normally genre-shifts take me out of games quite heavily (like that Dragon Aage Veilguard trailer with We-Can-Be-Heroes.)
Ubisoft isn't above *accidentally* releasing a good game from time to time. Just look at Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown.
listen i'm not a game expert, i admit to having some bad gaming opinions but AC: Odyssey is probably in my top ten or at least twenty games ever. i wasnt near as into Valhalla for a variety of reasons and i havent tried Mirage yet but i actually have some faith in Ubisoft at the moment which is a weird feeling
So I don’t blame Jesse for taking their money but let’s be real the game is a 💩show Ubisoft has somehow managed to make one of the most racist games possible while trying to be inclusive.
I mean have you heard the battle music when the guy starts a combat? It’s Japan style music but made to sound like modern hip hop.
so you're playing either as a foreigner or a woman in a samurai game about samurai....
It’s basically an industry standard at this point to insert minorities into the main roles, regardless of whether it makes sense or not

I’m Japanese, wanted a Japanese Assassin’s Creed game, now after waiting over a decade we get culturally appropriated, used as a marketing vehicle where our culture is monetized for their product, pushed fake propaganda revisionist history and we don’t even get representation and get to play as a Japanese Samurai, but a slave weapon bearer that has zero historical evidence he was a samurai.
No title, no land, no history records means he was a retainer at best for 14 months that he was in Japan.

I love AC, loved Mirage. I feel nothing for this game tho.
Yasuke gameplay looks ass It's giving mobile game as far as the animations and the UI elements. But if I can just play Naoe for the whole game, I'm down.
Honestly, my love on this game will determine entirely on how much they force you to play as one character or the other. As to put it bluntly, I'm here to sneak through the shadows and pick them off one by one. Not fight a large crowd in the open
