The chain weapon Naoe wields is called a kusarigama, and she can even use it for assassinations, as you saw with the reverse Scorpion maneuver.

Almost everything in the game is very similar to Ghost of Tsushima that I have , I wish I could buy it and give it a try but I don't think it's worth the money as I'm basically gonna experience the same thing :(
It seems interesting that this game’s stealth is giving off “Splinter Cell” vibes within the moment with combat with our brutal character is speaking or showing like Evior’s Abilities in Valhalla. So this game is going to be beautiful, action packed and exciting to play 😄 I have fingers crossed that the game does well and bring some hope in AC games to feel better in this direction of the new era.

Take this as an advice and not get much hype.
I advise as a fan of yours to just continue playing this game if it comes out but don't expect much about being accurate in everything. The AC Shadows game don't represent Feudal Japan at all. This game is very different than the other AC games to the point it is now being presented for investigation in Japan and it might get banned there. Hope you won't think that the game will show Japanese architecture and the way of living because everything is done wrong based on trailers. We are open if they made changes to fix but I don't think Ubisoft will. Just and advice from your fan.

日本を侮辱する日本文化盗用ゲーム
このゲームを楽しみにされてる方へ。楽しみたい気持ちは尊重致しますし、ポジティブな感想をお持ちの方の意見も素敵な事だと思います。
しかし、これだけはお伝えしたい。このゲームが史実に全く忠実では無い事、まるっきり日本という舞台を描けて無い事、弥助は侍だという歴史は無かった事、それは理解して頂きたい。
フィクションの世界において、今までも様々なら場面で、様々な国や人種の方が侍を演じて来ました。勿論、弥助も含めて。それは非常に素敵な事ですし、フィクションにおいては楽しみの一つです。
けどこのゲームにおいては、一国の歴史が歪曲され、捏造される様な発信をされてる事、それだけは認知して頂きたい。
ゲームそのものにも、主人公にも弥助にも、どの人種にも、どの国にも罪は無いし、それを楽しみたい方にも何も罪は無いと思ってます。
楽しみたい人は思う存分楽しんでくれれば良いし、それは人の自由で尊重されるべき事だと思います。
ただ、このゲームを作成した、ubiやメディアのignの様に間違った歴史認識を広める様な事だけはしないで頂きたく思います。
I respect your commitment but I'm going to correct you. AC was never historical accuracy since the first game it was always historical fantasy. So of course there is going to be some inaccuracy with in the game this is nothing new. Hell some people were mad about inaccuracy in ghost of tsushima. But my point is the hate for this game is all cap if you believe it or not. But if japanese people are really mad about yasuke being In this game then why ya'll didn't say anything about him being in nioh1,nioh2 and samurai warrior 5 as a matter of fact we're was the hate for William in nioh1. Look what I am saying is the hate for yasuke being one of the playable characters for AC should be the least of anybody worries. But hey it's the internet what you going to do.

貴方は自分の国の歴史や文化の誤った認識が世界に広められ、その誤情報が真実であるかの様に歪曲され、捏造されたら嫌では無いですか？
例えばですが、僕の友人のアメリカ人と日本の着物を着てた時に知ったのですが、アメリカで日本の着物を着ると日本人への差別と言われる事があったそうです。我々日本人からすれば何が差別なのか分かりません。どの国が良いとか悪いとかの話では無く、国が違えば文化や歴史によって差別等の概念すら違いますよね。
日本は周辺国に歴史を歪曲され、捏造されその話題が出る度に周辺国との溝が深まったり時々賠償金などを払えと言った戯言を抜かす国が今でも存在しております。
貴方にとっては日本という国の歴史がどの様に塗り替えられても関係無いのでしょうが、我々日本人は歴史を歪曲され、捏造される事に関しては非常に敏感である国民性だと思ってます。
という訳で、別に多くの日本人は弥助の存在にも、黒人にも、ゲームというフィクションの世界の事にも非難しておりません。ただ１つの国の歴史や文化の誤情報を世界に広めて欲しく無いだけです。

I'm not one who's too excited over an AC game set in Japan but I'm glad we FINALLY have a mainline Assassin's Creed game set in Asia. Hope they'll do one about China, Korea and India someday. Right now, i can't wait to see how they implemented the whole Assassin vs Templar narrative into Shadows story,, plus the Precursor (Isu) lore with Japanese Myth stuff 🥰

@tonybankse nah woke is when you change another cultures history to push a narrative i.e. this game. Look at the response that actual japanese people have towards this game, they absolutely hate it while ghost of tsushima was universally loved.

歴史的に正確なゲームと思われている方も多いのかもしれませんが
開発者インタビューで「私達の目、つまり日本人ではない私達の侍となる主人公を探していた。 そこで弥助を見つけた。」と発言しているので
本当の日本の歴史に正確なのではなく 開発者目線の日本が舞台になっていると思われます。 開発者は もちろん日本人ではありません。日本人から見れば 他のアジアの国が混ざっていたり 家紋がおかしかったり 人々の仕草や話す事や雰囲気がおかしかったり なかなかのめちゃくちゃ日本です。
そして 「史実の隙間を想像で埋めた。」とも発言しているので 発売されたとしても あくまで超フィクションとして 楽しまれるのが良いと思います。

They really improved the graphics by a ton with this one, it looks absolutely stunning! I also like the idea of playing either stealthy or go full-on battle mode by playing both a shinobi and a samurai! As an environment and history lover, I’m so so excited to explore, Ubisoft never disappoints with world building, details and historical accuracy with AC games. Being able to explore ancient castles now in ruins like Takeda and Azuchi Castles or the mighty Himeji Castle, ahh I cannot wait!!
