i figured out. We all use "text area" what we ned to use is "a line of text". instead of click and drag using text tool simply click it and type whatever you want.
Nice. but you can design isometric with this way: select your layer > Effect > 3D > Rotate then on position, select Isometric. In this way you can easily edit source asset
Why Adobe...can't you make a 3D tool with all these hacks. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate your tutorial. However, it's pretty specific. What if I want more of a 3 point perspective? Come on Adobe.
or you can just have the text as is, or rotate it 90°, go into 3D menu, extrude and from the options within pic isometric perspective. That gives you a really nice soft finish.

Adding 100's of steps in a blend will freeze up your PC unless you have a beast, Adobe have worked on the 3D tools since this tut came out, use that method instead for a smoother and more powerful workflow. It's simple too!
Great Video, bit off topic how do you get the dropdown menus to be semi transparent/Opaque in Illustrator?, is this just an option on MacBooks?, do you know if this can this also be done on a Windows computer. Cheers.
It is not a specific height! It is the percentage, so it takes 86.602 percent of the original height. Whatever that is. Hope this answers your question!
Well this tutorial sucks. Blending Option doesn't work for words when I try it but it works with shapes...which is not what I need this for. Is there someone else who does a better explanation for words and letters?
Hello, love your tutorials! In following along with this one, Blend > Make was greyed out unless I turned the text into outlines. Yet you didn’t need to do that in your demo. Any thoughts on why it was different for me? I’m using CC 2017.
