I have them on my calendar. I watched the first season, they sucked hard. I stopped watching. Now I am starting to see basketball a lot closer to what I was expecting 20 years ago. In that 20 years, the only person I wish I would have seen more games of was Tamika Catchings.
I can't imagine her numbers being any better. She's has the ball in her hands 90% of the time. I don't think any rookie has had the workload she has had.

A'ja isn't the GOAT yet, but she is definitely on her way. She keeps adding things to her game that make her more and more difficult to defend. She's still an incredible defender. If this Aces team wins the championship in an Olympic year as the 4th seed. She's entering top 5 status easily.

As for the fouls , you can’t compare “the average position” to that of an Aja bc she’s ultra aggressive and more aggressive than any other player in the W. Clark gets fouled but majority of her fouls are blocking fouls with defenders bodying her outside the three point line. She doesn’t attack the rim nearly as much as Aja. Majority of Aja’s shots are mid range and ATTACKING the basket . So if Aja drives the ball 15 times, she’s most likely gonna get like 4-5 shooting foul calls . Bigs are way more physical ; hence the fouls

She is a center at 6'4. It isn't that it is not part of her game per se. When she is at the elbow extended or in the post..she is more than likely going to shoot it; unless she gets doubled...then she may get an assist if her teammates shoes and makes it. She does not need to focus on assist, if she gets them, great. Her job is to score, get rebounds on both ends of the floor and block shots.

Collier is number 2 and Stewart probably 3. Clark is a developing player in terms of becoming more versatile in her game, working on defense, working on minimizing turnovers at critical times in the game and having a more secure ball handle for a point guard. Clark doesn't have the experience yet to shine in the playoffs against the top teams. I think next year there is a jump and by year 3 she may be top 5 but she still has to be judged as a rookie due to lack of experience and she's still developing her game in the WNBA.
She is an original. Many greats in her game. But seems the most like Pistol Pete. A bit of Magic too, the way she gets boards and runs the court. But not quite as flashy as those guys. Seems like they were incapable of routine passes😂

In terms of her impact on the game, Caitlin Clark reminds me of Babe Ruth in the early 1920s there were great players in the MLB before Ruth, but Ruth changed how the game is played, and fans loved it. There is a reason they called Yankee Stadium “the house that Ruth built.” The greatest impact on all American sport goes to Jackie Robinson - he is the GOAT - but in terms of changing how the game is played and fan interest, Caitlin reminds me of the impact of Babe Ruth, and yes, for those reasons I think she deserves MVP.

There’s an inherent ceiling on Aja’s impact due to her style of play since she doesn’t really create for others.

The going rate to be on GOAT Mountain...is 3 championships (because I believe that can't be one GOAT in a team sport). As for the fouls , you can’t compare “the average position” to that of an Aja bc she’s ultra aggressive and more aggressive than any other player in the W. Majority of Aja’s shots are mid range and ATTACKING the basket . So if Aja drives the ball 15 times, she’s most likely gonna get like 4-5 shooting foul calls . When she is at the elbow extended or in the post..she is more than likely going to shoot it; unless she gets doubled...then she may get an assist if her teammates shoes and makes it. She does not need to focus on assist, if she gets them, great. Her job is to score, get rebounds on both ends of the floor and block shots.

Collier is number 2 and Stewart probably 3. Clark is a developing player in terms of becoming more versatile in her game, working on defense, working on minimizing turnovers at critical times in the game and having a more secure ball handle for a point guard. Clark doesn't have the experience yet to shine in the playoffs against the top teams. I think next year there is a jump and by year 3 she may be top 5 but she still has to be judged as a rookie due to lack of experience and she's still developing her game in the WNBA.
