Pietro doesnt have super strength, he just moves fast so when he touch gently monica with his finger he actually moved it very quickly and build up enough kinetic energy to push her back that much. Perfect example is in X-men Days of Future Past, when Quicksilver used his powers and it was shown in slowmotion.

So Monica is "Spectrum" in the comics. So her seeing the world in different colours and her eyes changing colour is her perceiving different spectrums of energy.
Kathryn Hahn was perfect for Agatha. She always plays like that kinda hot cheery eccentric girl and then Marvel went “do exactly that but then be a villain at the end.”
I love that you spotted Agatha tearing up for real in the Vision scene because other reactors thought she was acting but she wasn't facing Wanda at that moment and that tear wiping was so subtle it's sincere.
It’s so interesting to see a reaction from someone who isn’t “in the know” about the comics. Makes me see how much fan service Marvel does that the uninitiated are not familiar with. Comic fans can instantly know what’s going on with Monica and know about White Vision, etc., but the other people are just left confused. Marvel did a really good job about explaining things in earlier movies but now they are like, “okay, if you don’t know anything about comics at this point, oh well.” Sort of like picking up a new tv show in the 7th or 8th season
Marvel movies actually never tell the full story from the get go. All of these facts like Monica & white vision will be brought up in upcoming projects.

Remember the heart on the calendar and the occasion she couldn't remember. They'd acquired the property with the plan of building and living there. The heart date on the calendar was when they were planning on moving in. She went back to the property and built it herself and rebuilt the vision from her memories and mind stone connection.
That's not what I understood from the show... they explicitly state in the dialog that the heart on the calendar was to indicate the date when Mr. and Mrs. Hart were coming over for dinner. They also noted how ridiculous it was for an android with super-speed reading and a girl who uses magic to resort to using obscure notations like that.

Yeah, using Marvel terminology, she's a "mutate", aka a being who wasn't born with powers, but was altered by exposure to some kind of energy or substance that gave them powers. Some of the other mutates in the MCU include Carol Danvers, Bruce Banner, Peter Parker, Steve Rogers, etc. By contrast, magic users in the MCU tend to get their powers through study, like Dr. Strange and Loki. Wanda is sort of half-and-half.
@@dragontepes4432 More than unlocked, since she seemed to have magical powers before that she was unaware of and used subconsciously, the stone seems to have enhanced her powers to a degree that only an infinity stone could.
I like how they left it open so it could be that the hex activates an X gene for mutants, it specifically mutates genes to “create” an “X gene”, or the hex is similar, energetically, to the stellar storm that created the Fantastic Four.
I always love the traumatized characters the most too! It's also what I do in real life, with mixed results (some great partners and friends, some people who hadn't dealt with their issues and put me in bad situations because of it). One of my absolute favorite "trauma babies" is from the excellent show Orphan Black, which I do really recommend watching, even if you don't film reactions. It's a really well-written show with fantastic characters and an intriguing plot that dives into some pretty intense questions.
Monica only got powers because she passed through the border 3 times (each time rewriting her cells a bit). Also, it was harder to get through the border this time because when Wanda went back in after tossing Hayward his drone back, she put an extra layer on the border to keep everyone out (border turns red)

Loki has gone thru some serious shit especially in Thor 1, people just seem to “forget” cos he has been sorta turned into comedic relief and ragnarok was packed with so many jokes most people didn’t feel anything when Asgard was destroyed etc. Hopefully Loki gets to stronger (I mean he’s a 1.5k year old magical being, why is he always using knives and getting slapped around by dr strange?) This sorta devolved into a rant, still love the Loki show especially his mind control and telekinesis powers they hinted at, hopefully they expand on his actual physical prowess more too. Great character all things considered and my favourite.
Given that Wanda is going to feature in Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Madness, I think her next arc is going to be to find and rescue her kids from another reality.
Couple things to note: 1. Wanda’s powers didn’t solely come from the Mind Stone. She was born with these chaos magic abilities, The mind stone simply enhanced what was already there 2. That cliffhanger at the end will be explored further, as she’s gonna be in the Dr Strange sequel next year (Multiverse of Madness) 3. Ending will also make some more sense (potentially) after you get around to finishing Loki Have loved your reactions and can’t wait for more!
Was she born with Chaos magic abilities tho? Or was she a witch that had her powers amplified from the stone to give her chaos magic? I feel like the stone chose her & then made her the scarlet witch

I love this show as a representation of Wanda's journey through the stages of grief. She hits it all: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance. Its so good. Plus hitting all the eras in style and music and acting. Love. Without getting too into the weeds... Monica goes all different colors bc she reads and reacts to energy. So blue with the force/impact of the ground. Purple when interacting with agathas magic energy. Yellow with the kinetic energy of the bullets.
"I can't feel you" ALWAYS kills me Also while watching this I was getting upset at the end of every episode like I had to wait to see the next one. Glad it's all together lol
"What is grief, if not love persevering?" The week that episode aired was during the one year anniversary of my mom's funeral. My heart NEEDED to hear that line, that week. Normally, Agatha Harkness is good. She's a mentor. But she was a mentor (of sorts) in this universe. In the comics, Monica Rambeau was altered, becoming Spectrum (or Photon, or Captain Marvel, depending on what name you like) This was the MCU version of that. This was her origin story.
@@TorIverWilhelmsen They're definitely gearing up for it. Otherwise, why would all three of the Disney+ series so far all introduce characters from that team on top of Cassie Lang being aged up? And another's coming in Hawkeye too. I'm with you. It's something for later down the road.
"I'm really drawn to characters who have been through ****" I feel like one of the things marvel is great at is making you fall in love with the characters and then making you watch them go through hell.
This is easily one of the best things Marvel has done. Olsen was amazing, the story and the allegory of grief was touching, and the little touches of the immigrant story and how American pop culture is a way of life for many of us was a treat. This whole thing was a rollercoaster, but hearing Wanda finally get called the Scarlet Witch and seeing her in comics-accurate costuming was SO GOOD.
The Skrull scene is actually for Captain Marvel 2, its called "The Marvels" now. The end credits scene connects to Dr. Strange 2 because Wanda is in it.
Now that you’ve finished, the whole thing with Pietro being “recasted” was huge because the actor that plays him is the same actor that plays the same character in the xmen movies. When he was revealed, everyone was thinking that they were gonna bring the xmen in through the multiverse somehow but then marvel tricked everyone by revealing that he’s just agatha’s husband ralph boner
But given they knew it wasn’t going to be X-universe Quicksilver they could have cast anyone as fake Pietro. That makes me love it even more that they cast Evan Peters KNOWING it would just completely mess with the head of pretty much everyone watching!
Wanda's powers is not from the mind stone. She already has her witch powers since she was still young it was just amplified and unleashed by the mind stone.
yes but the witches and sourcerers in the mcu such as in Frigga, Loki, Dr Strange, Agatha, Kaecilius etc, were all taught how to use magic and would not be able to use magic if they werent taught. wanda however is a nexus being who was destined to be the Scarlett Witch, hence why she's able to conjure spells without even knowing them. you said it pretty well she had "witch powers" but no textbook knowledge about witchcraft, but now she does bc she has the darkhold

Wanda always had powers, but she was unaware, even though it’s what saved her and her brother from that bomb. The mind stone jump started, as Agnes put it, “what would have died on the vine.”
Never read the comics and don’t know about Monica’s character from them but looks to me the show was showing us how she manipulates different kinds of energy. Electrical, kinetic, magic, etc.. each one represented by a different color. That’s what I got from it
Wanda’s whole story is absolutely heartbreaking. They did an amazing job with the show. I can’t wait for you to watch Falcon and the Winter Soldier! It’s not quite as dark, yet still extremely emotional.

As an exploration of profound grief and trauma, this show is amazingly insightful. I do know a lot of people struggled with the first three episodes, because it's so strange and off the wall. My sister couldn't get past them, for some reason. About those, though, they actually pulled in Dick Van Dyke to consult about the themes and approaches used in those old sit-coms. The rule, back then, was that if it couldn't happen in real life, it couldn't happen in the show. So, while those old sit-coms exaggerated things so much they pushed right up to the limits of plausibility, they stayed just inside of it. Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie, of course, broke with that approach, and for the "60s sitcom era" in WandaVision, those were much more the models. The '70s, was very much The Brady Bunch, with its improbable blended family. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is very different. It's much more a spy thriller, but it does provide some really interesting insight into what happened, in the world, during the five-year "blip" during which half the population vanished. Loki sets up the next several phases of the MCU movies, and some of what happens, there, is foreshadowed in WandaVision. Before you start to watch Loki, you may want to revisit WandaVision, if only briefly. Hint: Pay attention to the commercials. :) As for the next appearance of the Scarlett Witch, we'll see her in the next Doctor Strange, film, subtitled, "The Multiverse of Madness." I enjoy your reactions. :)
I loved that they completed the 'rule of threes' with 'I just feel you' from the movies. 1. Vision wants Wanda to feel the mindstone when it was warning about Thanos. 2. When she has to destroy the mindstone with Vision 'It's okay, I just feel you' 3. And then the devastating one when she gets Vis' body 'I don't feel you'. OOOF Marvel. Damn. My heart. But the payoffs are just so well written.

@@mahoutsuguy863 These youtube so-called comic "theory" channels that write conspiratorial garbage are not writing "better ideas" they're writing deranged fanfiction where the idea is to put out as clickbait a content as possible without any responsibility. Channels that compete with each other as to who can regurgitate the most outlandish claims as possible in search of views. It's disgusting; not merely because of their incentives but most of all the false expectation that they instil in the audience that something completely crazy that they made up is going to happen, which leads the viewers to no longer absorb the story and characters that's being told in the show, but rather just look for things that'll confirm what they heard on TH-cam; and when it doesn't happen they feel a sense of disapointment in something that wasn't real or intended to begin with. It's quite sad really, because people are too preoccupied with chasing false theories about Mephistos and other nonsense while never asking themselves "does this "theory" I'm chasing have anything to do with the story that is being told?" and in the mean time completely miss the great writing that are often in these series'. in WandaVision's case, about love, and grief. Anyway, that's my thoughts on the matter.
@@makon89 so to be clear, are you specifically addressing the Mephisto theories? If so, I agree, his reveal would have been just as weak as we already got (in every mcu show so far), but calling those theories crazy is a stretch. Aside from Mephisto's ties to Wanda in the source material, there were lots of occult and devil references dropped within the show. But yes, overall, a lot of theories were better than what we got. By the time the show ended, the series couldn't make up its mind on whether or not it wanted Wanda to be seen as a villain or sympathetic. It touted "Agatha all along" when she wasn't really behind anything substantial and was only the answer to red herring mystery box bs they dropped in the show BECAUSE they wanted people theorizing. You'd be crazy to think marvel doesn't want people talking as much as they do about the shows between episodes. But anyways, a lot of theories fall flat because they put more thought into the show than the writers did. Case in point. The reveal that Agnes was Agatha Harkness. Or thst the real boss of the TVA was (kang). If yore *just*watching the show, you have no idea who any of those people are and as such the idea of having a mystery element is wasted. It's aimless fan service but everyone wants to pretend that the show did something big when the only reason a majority of the audience can even claim to know what these reveals mean is because of theory/explanation videos.
Dude you do realize those “TH-cam theorists” who made mephisto guesses were right right…? Like it was confirmed they changed the post credit scene, there is the sketch from the original end scene with mephisto and the kids on disney+ dude. What a weird take, it was legit correct before they changed it 😂 I’m pretty sure Kevin feigey himself said so on Twitter, they also threw in a mephisto reference in Loki.
They didn't really go into it, but it looks like Monica became "Spectrum" from passing through the hex wall multiple times. She is a powerful character that can control different types of energy.
"Scarlet Witch" is her name in the comics. She is also Magneto's (xmen villain) daughter. Her brother is playing the same character (quicksilver) he plays in the xmen movies.
I believe White Vision needed to find the missing parts of his psyche so he could once more become the Vision we're all familiar with. To do that, of course, he would have to go to the place that he knows has (most of) his original personality downloaded. Wakanda.
The way the last three episodes completely recontextualizes the rest of the series is damned impressive. It cuts deep. Those sitcoms were a mental safe space from the last time she ever felt happy and safe. The Hex was her hanging by a thread from a life of seemingly endless tragedy, loss, and pain. You really just want to wrap her in a blanket and give her some chicken noodle soup.
If you look closely at Agatha when Wanda says “you live here now” Agatha has a tear run down her face because (I believe) Agatha knows she will be trapped in this version for ever.
I wouldn't consider it a McGuffin. A McGuffin is something that isn't important outside the plot but the Darkhold is an ancient magical artifact that has been around for centuries causing shit over it. Its like saying the Necrinomicon was a McGuffin.
If Monica’s powers are like the comics, she has the ability to control any form of energy and become any form of energy. She might be the most powerful person in the MCU other than Wanda

There wasn't that much fan service in here. Maybe an odd line or two. In general you don't really need to know that much about comics to enjoy this

@@dragontepes4432 Yeah, half-and-half.

"Steal" might be a more appropriate word.

1. Wanda’s powers didn’t solely come from the Mind Stone. She was born with these chaos magic abilities, The mind stone simply enhanced what was already there

As for the next appearance of the Scarlett Witch, we'll see her in the next Doctor Strange, film, subtitled, "The Multiverse of Madness."
I enjoy your reactions. :)
I loved that they completed the 'rule of threes' with 'I just feel you' from the movies.
1. Vision wants Wanda to feel the mindstone when it was warning about Thanos.
2. When she has to destroy the mindstone with Vision 'It's okay, I just feel you'
3. And then the devastating one when she gets Vis' body 'I don't feel you'.

6:18 "Who Else Are You Loyal To?"
😂
She's Obviously Talking About Monica
"Scarlet Witch" is her name in the comics. She is also Magneto's (xmen villain) daughter. Her brother is playing the same character (quicksilver) he plays in the xmen movies.
Love your reaction to this series sm! I really hope you react to Agatha All Along next, it's really good! 💜
White Vision went off to the same void every comic book character goes when writers know they'll want to use them later.
I believe White Vision needed to find the missing parts of his psyche so he could once more become the Vision we're all familiar with. To do that, of course, he would have to go to the place that he knows has (most of) his original personality downloaded.
Wakanda.
That void is called wakanda
Make sure you put your health first Nat!
As much as I appreciate your content, it’s not worth wearing yourself out for. 🙏🏻🥰
You're gonna love Loki, I can't wait to see your reaction to that 😂

The way the last three episodes completely recontextualizes the rest of the series is damned impressive. It cuts deep. Those sitcoms were a mental safe space from the last time she ever felt happy and safe. The Hex was her hanging by a thread from a life of seemingly endless tragedy, loss, and pain. You really just want to wrap her in a blanket and give her some chicken noodle soup.
When Wanda’s grief flows out of her it built the hex. I understood it. When you experience grief it can hit you like a bomb out of nowhere
If you look closely at Agatha when Wanda says “you live here now” Agatha has a tear run down her face because (I believe) Agatha knows she will be trapped in this version for ever.
The Darkhold was in Agents if S.H.I.E.L.D. a bunch. It's just a McGuffin for chaos.
I wouldn't consider it a McGuffin. A McGuffin is something that isn't important outside the plot but the Darkhold is an ancient magical artifact that has been around for centuries causing shit over it. Its like saying the Necrinomicon was a McGuffin.
Runaways too
We all love good complex characters and whoever Tom Hiddlestone is playing, we got you
I do love that Olsen got to do sitcom style shows like her sisters became famous in - but so interestingly as this character.
This show represents the 5 stages of grief.
Denial (50s,60s), Anger (70s,80s), Bargaining (90s,00s), Depression (10s, FlashBacks), Acceptance (Finale)
Been a slow weekend so the youtube drought has been real. Fun to see something I want to watch finally pop up
Sad ending for Wanda? Wanda (heavy Sokovian accent): "Sphh, what else is new?"
If Monica’s powers are like the comics, she has the ability to control any form of energy and become any form of energy. She might be the most powerful person in the MCU other than Wanda
7:35 the add is for "Nexus"
Foreshadowing to Loki and the Nexus events ?
