yeah, the techniques are all unlocked, because you cannot meaningfully do a pure ng run with the techniques locked. speedrun.com does not differentiate, so you should play with all of them unlocked

I have all the assassination techniques unlocked but everytime i do it the guard standing on the stairs spots me instantly is there another strat you use that we can't see in this video? it would mean a lot if you helped me through that part
he spots you, if he sees you too soon after he hears a shot. that is a general AI behavior, and the margin for error in this case is really low. You have to shoot really early and perhaps increase the length of the path you travel by curving a bit.
That description is very useful. I were about to ask why have you gotten max rating if you killed someone. Sad I didn't know that when I played. Could've saved some time.
Blind spots, and knife throw does not get you spotted, unless you yourself are in field of vision of someone. Recovering evidence is not necessary for Silent Assassin rating, you get it if you kill all targets without being spotted and without killing any non-targets. Evidence does not factor in
Hi, when i try to instant shoot Dom Osmund with a single bullet like you do, i often got a "non target casualty" also, even if there is only one bullet shot and one skull icon displayed, do you know why ?.. Nice barbershop stage btw, i love the way you eliminated Luke :)
you need to look at him as you pass him. you can see me do it in the video. without it the game doesn't tag him as a target. You have to be sufficiently close and have in view so that the objective pop up appears
btw that strat is terribly inconsistent. It is nearly impossible to guarantee it to work. The reason it fails, is one of the 3 guards around him sees him die, and you can't really control the AI when it is in the searching state

The thing with gamepads is, that some things you actually cannot do, like certain combination of actions you cannot perform, mostly when it comes to certain time sensitive pointshooting. It's exactly the same, except purist removes hud and a bunch of tutorial voiceover and scripts in the first mission. It's mostly pointless to play purist instead of expert, and makes verification more annoying since it doesn't even display the score
it's the the silenced pistol with detachable silencer, the icon changes when you put it on and off, I think I have it bound to middle mouse button. It's in the keybind menu

I figured out you need to FIND Dom first or otherwise he will not count as target. That's the same to all of the targets

yeah, the techniques are all unlocked, because you cannot meaningfully do a pure ng run with the techniques locked. speedrun.com does not differentiate, so you should play with all of them unlocked

Why could you kill all 3 targets on Chinese New Year, though? They were in plain sight. And you haven't recovered evidence.
