    nice wheels im thinking of putting Range Rover rims on my T5. The trouble is people forget they MUST measure the combination of new wheel and tyre and they must match the overall diameter of the old wheels/ tyres - otherwise bigger wheels will UNDER READ and going through a speed camera thinking youre doing 30 you will be over and get flashed. Smaller wheels OVER READ and show you doing a higher speed than actually travelling. the way to confirm this is to use a TomTom or other sat nav. (They give precise speed). Ive sorted this by having a 'loose' speedo screen (The black disc that shows the numbers) take the front perspex off the instrument pod and get a friend to go out for a test run with a gps to call out speeds. Once you hit a set speed, turn the plastic dial to read the correct speed and then GLUE the dial in place - job done :)))! Top job Tdubz

      That’s class! The wheels are smart, I usually cruise round 2-4 miles under the speed limit annoys the people behind 👌🏻👌🏻

    Wheels are such a personal choice. Why not live with them before making a decision. They look great to me.

    Love those wheels Tom. I think 19’s are the best size wheel on t5. 20’s just look too big

      They do look good with 19s 👌🏻👌🏻

    I’m running 245/45/19 front & 275/40/19 rear I run them at 42 psi seems to ride well with even tread wear. Think I was told max is 44 psi

    Hope the roads where you live are not like the roads in Edinburgh where I stay , they are a nightmare for potholes ect, I'm running 19's with 245/45/R19 and I feel every bump , I'm hoping to change soon .

      Roads here are the same, that van went on to 20” with 235 35 tyres… I’m now on a set of 18” with 225 45s as low as I can get the stance plus kit and the ride is great.. still have to miss the potholes tho 🙈👍🏻

    Do you recommend putting a set of Golf MK7 rims on a T5.

    • @tomtdubz
      @tomtdubz  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The load rating won’t be high enough for the van and there 5x112 not 5x120. So I wouldn’t recommend this

    Great vid again Tom. Very well speaked so an average finnish male can understand correctly everything. =) can you tell specs of the rims also, what ET and width? Those alloys fit like theyre ment there. Awesome look. Little lowering and avot. Have you lowered already your van?

    • @tomtdubz
      @tomtdubz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The wheels are 19” bmw 230 twists.. I can’t remember the et but they were 8.5 fronts and 9 at the rear. The van was lowered on stance plus street coilovers 👌🏻

    Safer to put those wooden blocks underneath the jack, behind the front wheels, rather than on top of it!
