Hello. My 2WD T32 van has Bilstein NSL SoLow coilovers with 275/35ZR20 tyres. The coilovers are lowered right down (10mm from max lowered). I'm going to be taking the van across the odd field and down the occasional gravel track next year and am worried that both the lowered van and very low profile tyres will not be a good fit. Are there any good options for me that do not include dumping the Bilsteins (height, wheel size, tyres?)? Thanks.
@@BarcombeBoy adjust the coilovers higher if you want more clearance. That is correct type size though. With NSL's at the highest you can just get away with 264/40/20 if you wanted. Or look at a 17" wheels on AT tyre. You honestly have loads of clearance now though. My ride height on air is about 180mm below standard and I've driven all round Europe including on and off step ferry ramps with no issues. You're probably around 85mm below standard currently.
@@THQAutomotive Thanks very much. I am inclined to ramp it up and put 17" alloys with 103v/h AT or 4 season tyres on it to cope with the dirt tracks (of which there are a fair few in Norway). My issue is then what size the tyres should be so they don't meet the wheel arches. :-(

I just picked up my new T6.1 shuttle in Fortana red last week to haul my dogs around in (Middle row of seats removed) and to use as a day van after the lock down ends for day tripping. Looking for Limo tint all round and about a 35mm lift. I think those wheels in that colour would set off the van nicely, but I have spoken to quite a few people who have gone down the swamper route and they all have conflicting stories of what rubs and what doesn't, what's drivable and what's not... I like BFG tyres but don't know what size would work on these without rubbing (either stock ride height or lifted) and as far as I know, no one is recalibrating the 6.1 speedo yet?
Correct, at this point no one can do T6.1 Speedo’s. Give me a buzz on Monday and I can explain tyre options and potential rubber issues. 0116 2478156. Ask for Andy.
Yeah agreed. I like the ride height look. Lifted it needs bigger tyres. I love the bronze. I can’t wait to try some bronze zephyr’s for the next video.

I really liked the bronze BBS so wanted to do bronze on the AT wheels. That and fuel made the prototypes in bronze so we don't have an option! haha. Yes it does feel way way more comfy than my standard 225/35 20's :)
Pretty pointless exercise, when the first hint of mud or snow will fill the gap in the arches and turn the tyres into slicks as the tread is packed full. If you want to run silly low ride height, just stick with normal rubber, the M&S's are completely wasted.
Thanks for your comment but when it snows I can just lift it. The air suspension goes higher than standard height. I always run mud and snows in the winter. They've been great on several trips to the Alps snowboarding.

Your Van looks nice on those Swamper wheels, but I would have gone all black, with the state of the roads running the lower profiles can be problematic as you are always trying to find a smooth line.
A friend has 35's on an A5 coupe and they are more like rubber bands, no wonder the higher profiles feel more comfortable.
In this world don't follow the herd, branch out and find your own style, if not we will end up in boring grey place, with Ed Sheeran on repeat.
I really liked the bronze BBS so wanted to do bronze on the AT wheels. That and fuel made the prototypes in bronze so we don't have an option! haha. Yes it does feel way way more comfy than my standard 225/35 20's :)
Here in Finland we have WINTER
Perfect, you need WINTER wheels then ;)
Swampers rule 👊
Yeah there is defo a market for it. They're growing on me more and more
I love it and want these wheels and tyres please
Do it 👊
Bom dia, achei que a da Amarok ficou melhor
É bom tentar algo diferente, certo?
What is the fascination with lowering a VW Transporter?
Because thats what we do. Plus it improves the way they handle and drive massively.
This looks cool as fook fellas...its cool to be different.
Thanks, it’s different for sure

Pretty pointless exercise, when the first hint of mud or snow will fill the gap in the arches and turn the tyres into slicks as the tread is packed full. If you want to run silly low ride height, just stick with normal rubber, the M&S's are completely wasted.
Thanks for your comment but when it snows I can just lift it. The air suspension goes higher than standard height. I always run mud and snows in the winter. They've been great on several trips to the Alps snowboarding.
Not for me. Bagged vehicles look broken, only emphasised by the off road wheels.
Each to their own 🤷🏻♂️😊
Ps, they drive soooooo comfy
Sorry but its a no for me on lowered!! looks much better lifted
I’m looking forward to seeing these wheels on a lifted van. I think they’ll look sweet. We’ll do a lifted video soon.
That's an abomination. Absolutely hideous and incredibly embarrassing.
Nothing wrong with the wheels, but the amount it is lowered is shambolic.
Awesome, thanks for you comment :)
@@THQAutomotive Well you did ask. :)
@@sandersson2813 I know, I meant it. I genuinely was saying thanks for the comment.
@@THQAutomotive One ones meat is another man's poison. Be boring if we all liked the same thing.
@@sandersson2813 totally agree :)
Awful, dont suit the van at all.
Genuinely appreciate you’re feedback. They’re the 1st to say it. Thanks 😊
Love it!
Lowered stampers are where it's at 🙌
Love it
Thanks :)
