I flew to Tirana for the very first time to try the best food in Albania. I heard a lot about its food and I just couldn't wait to try it.
Today I went to ODA restaurant to try one of the best food in all of Albania.
Located in a small alley, this restaurant blew my mind completely; from the interior, decoration, the feeling that you have as soon as you walk in, and how warm and hospitable people were to me.
I decided to sit close to the kitchen so that I could immediately smell the flavors of Albania. I ordered one of the national dishes and also a specialty in Tirana: Fergese; peppers with feta cheese, baked in the oven in a traditional clay pot and served with the best bread I've ever tried.
After that, I had Kukurec, grilled lamb intestines. One of the best dishes I've ever had. Savory, intestines were well cleaned, had great texture and the portion was generous.
The last dish was definitely the star of the day: the lamb head.
Any single part of it was well cooked and so tender, from the tongue, cheek, the creaminess of the brain to the gumminess of the eye. Just the best!
It's definitely one of the best food in Albania I've tried so far.
After lunch, I went to walk around the neighborhood, explore the new bazaar, and ended up at the Grand Park of Tirana to chill out in front of the lake and enjoy the view.

If an Italian says the food is good you can be sure it is really good 😁. I'm not gonna lie to you bro. ODA is a bit overrated. Lots of other restaurants in Tirana that serve way better traditional food. Anyway ODA is a good place to start 👍.

@@adavlora3801 Ada, there are a lot of good restaurants that serve traditional food in the outskirts of Tirana. Also in the city center is Ceren Ismet Shehu restaurant that is way better { a bit expensive } than ODA.

It is part of our country’s traditional costume, and is typical Albanian. Throughout the centuries, “plis /qeleshe” has become part of our identity, and is considered a national symbol which Albanians wear with so much pride and respect. Man can find a plis/qeleshe with or without our National red and black Flag displayed in front of it. Albanians can identify each other , anywhere in the world, every time they wear it.

They even coock blood sometimes they misc it with choocolate and red chilly.

Unfortunately, we (Turks) didn't invent kokoreç, kokoreç is originally Albanian, the Albanian immigrants bring this to Anatolia and Greece and locals integrated into their cuisines with different rolling and grilling techniques. The word kokoreç is coming from Albanian that means "corn cob"
