Very good job. Overcoming obstacles is what makes a great modeller! I myself have been modeling for over 50 years so I know the work that it takes to make one look great. Yet I am still learning and improving. On another note, Tamiya primer is the best primer I have ever used.

Great job ! May I suggest using Tamiya putty thinned with Tamiya lacquer thinner . You can wipe away excess and reduce sanding by 1000 X .

Thank you for a great video and very inspiring! I have being wanting to get back into models again, my last one was a 1/72 Hasegawa FB-111A converted to a RAAF F-111G (Boneyard Wrangler) back in 2010 and have many models still in the stash I hope to build one day including both single and twin seat versions of the old Revell Eurofighter Typhoon kits.

Vallejo Primer in den Kübel, Mr. Surface Primer ins Regal ;).
Vallejo Primer kann man echt nur für Teile verwenden, die nicht abgeklebt werden müssen.
Ja langsam kommt mir das auch so vor 😁 Aber eine allerletzte Chance könnte ich ihm ja noch geben? 😅

I have very bad experience with most 1/72 Revell models because the plastic they tend to use is way to slick.
It just takes way to much time to get a satisfying result.
I'm also no fan of their kits. However I have to say that their 1/144th scale jets were surprisingly good!

Achso und passen sich die Decals sich an mit den seter? Ich benutzte der e Tamiya Mark fit strong
Ja ist er, hält aber nicht gut. Durch Micro Set passen sich die Decals dem Untergrund an.

Hallo Starfish, baue gerade den Eurofighter in 1/144 mit den selben Decals von Brent Air Decals und habe mir das Dark Gull Gray nach einer Seite mit Tamiya Farben gemixt. Dann habe ich den Nose Cone und die Leading Edge des Seitenleitwerks nach der Revell Anleitung gemischt und es hat sich herausgestellt, das die Farbe viel zu dunkel ist, darf ich Dich fragen welche Farbe Du für den Nose Cone etc benutzt hast? Laut Brent Air soll man XF-25 benutzen, aber das sieht mir auch recht dunkel aus. lg
Servus Stefan, leider kann ich dir das nicht mehr sagen. Ich glaube, dass ich den Farbton nur durch Ausprobieren irgendwie halbwegs getroffen hab 😅
Ich möchte genau diesen Eurofighter bauen, nur halt das neue Kit von Revell.
Mein einziges Problem ist, dass bei dem extra Decalset von Daniel Brennt sind nicht die Bundesheer Logos für die Flügel dabei, oder?
Richtig, nur die Seitenruder und korrekten Nummern. In diesem alten Bausatz sind aber die Bundesheer Decals dabei! Ansonsten bietet Brent aber auch ein eigenes Set für österreichische Eurofighter an

5:25 hast du da nur Compound fine benutzt? Oder alle drei ? Ach und welches Skalpell hast du da benutzt? 7:37 zum waschen benutzte ich auch Alcohol
Ja hab nur fine. Das Skalpell ist ein billiges von Aliexpress, hat ca 1€ gekostet aber funktioniert gut 😅

I never use Vallejo primer as it not that great, and only use Tamiya fine grey or white primer which are excellent for sanding back or polishing before the final paint
I also haven't used it in a couple of years. Nowadays I use Mr Finishing Surfacer or One Shot Primer.

@@eg0_hd991 Steht nix drauf aber wie gesagt fürs Airbrushen einfach ein bisschen Wasser dazu. Verhältnis kann ich dir leider keines sagen.

Great build! I'll buid an Eurofighter Ghost Tiger in the future , now I build a Sukhoi SU-27 FLANKER it's almost ready I 'll put decals on and it's done. I have another model to build it's a F16A -15 HALCON CAZADOR but it's dificult for me to do it cause I don't understant the instructions manual. If you build this model please can you put a tutorial on TH-cam?
I think that F-16 you mention is a Mistercraft kit? If so, throw it in the trash 😉
@@Starfishscalemodeling Yes it's from Mistercraft, I bought it cause has incuded 12 colours paint and a brush and the price was cheap .But why shoud I throw in trash? Did you made the model? What's the reason for throwing it?
Mistercraft kits are reboxes of very old kits. They have a lot of fitting issues and the parts don't have many details. My advice would be to keep the decals but use them on a better kit. I heard good things about Tamiya and Revell F-16 kits!
@@Starfishscalemodeling I looked at Revell but I haven't seen the model F16A-15 HALCON CAZADOR VENEZUELA 20TH year edition , I saw this model at Mistercraft maybe I look at Tamiya if they have good model kits to build and especialy this VENEZUELA 20TH edition.

Yes I planned to build it but there are still no decals for it. Instead I built the Black Jack from the RAF - the video for that is available on my channel.

Very nice detailing of a poor kit. Still, I would've paid more time to the air intakes. There's some big seams still visible. Overall it looks very good. And lose the Vallejo primer😁 . Keep up!

4:25 ich habe da auch einen sehr guten Tipp nimm Mr Surfacer 500 und dann mach dat in die Spalten und dann nimm Lösungsmittel und mach das überstehende Zeug weg damit

I think the paint peeling issue has to do with the application of the paint itself. Tamiya/Gunze Acrylic paints are really forgiving and adhere well to plastics without priming or cleaning of the parts due to its chemical properties that are more similar to lacquers than conventional acrylics. With the AMMO Mig/Vallejo paints, they have to be airbrushed onto the surface in a specific way to achieve the best results and surface adhesion. A really light and misted first coat onto the plastic will give you a good hold for future layers of paints. Thank you! I'm sure that the issue come from Vallejos primer though. I used other primers now and don't have the issue anymore, no matter which paints I use.
@@Starfishscalemodeling Yes, indeed. The primer had to be applied in the same fashion as those paints. I have always prefered Lacquer-Based primers and paints as they have better adhesion.
I'd leave engine nozzles off as long as possible
Depends on the kit. In this case, a lot of filling and sanding was required in that area so it would have been more difficult.
