What. a. fucking. VOICE!! Right from the get-go, that dude gave me chills, and that is NOT easy to do. I'm SUPER picky about vocalists, and this guy is just fucking SICK. Did he really do it in one long take???

Regarding Anime, I caught the bug a year or so ago, along with Manga, and at least for Anime, I have got a nice little collection of titles that seem to not have been heard or viewed before by others and Ill have to add the list here for everyone. This is something that is an absolute gem. Gave me chills while listening to it and all the passion, pain, sorrow in his voice, it did bring a tear to my eye. Absolutely magical! Thanks Glenn

5 years old and it's still a fucking banger
I keep coming back to this time and time again, literally everything is so on point in this, the mixing and all of the instruments and vocals are all on the same level of how good they are, intense.
This song has a very nostalgic taste.
Garett killed it, I appreciate it when I see an all round good metal solo that also manages to be lyrical and musically enhancing, and there's not a lot of that for some reason in metal, I feel its usually a couple of arpeggios followed by a dumb atonal shred.
I agree and I like that he holds some notes out in the solo. You need to have a breather in a solo or you will have nothing to hold onto and it wont have as much impact or be as memorable
If you wanna see some really memorable solos check out Shapeshifta, tiny band from Darwin, Australia but man they kill it!
I agree! Many of metal solos don't have a melody. That's why Randy Rhoads was a genius.

Glad you retook this Glen, I actually didn't see the first video, but I watched your production video on re-shooting the cover, and this was a big improvement.
I can't give constructive criticism sadly because I'm not a sound engineer, so I'm too dumb to explain any fixer-uppers. But honestly, it sounds really really good!

one thing i would say is use a bit more reverb and loosen everything up this production style doesn't fit the song the toms, snare, overheads, acoustic guitars strings piano and lead guitars need a bit of reverb its so dry and a tiny bit more on the vocal only a smidgen and a little less click on the kick i'd say for this song have it so there is enough click as to where we can hear it clearly but not this much, id say if this was in like a full balls to the wall metal track that kick would sound amazing but here it doesn't sound right, and I posted this video on an audio engineering group on Facebook and most of them agree with me

Hey Glenn, while you may never need a vocalist like me, I'd totally be game to work on a video like this. Although, admittedly my experience recording metal extends to my work with Christopher Lee on his Charlemagne albums, and that was really just me singing opera in a metal song. :-)
