only time I saw the night tripper was with the Allman Brothers right after Duane s accident. He was in rare form throwing that majic dust, what a show, what a memory
And where was that? Not in New Orleans, for sure. The Allmans didn't play A Warehouse until New's Eve that year, and Dr. John wasn't on the bill. I was there.
@markcorley Jackson , they had supposed to have played Jackson the day Diane was killed but had rescheduled it and was told hang on to your tickets, they'll b back out shortly which they were, couldn't believe how good they were without Duane but Dicky did an awesome job, don't think they had another guitar player with them yet, long time ago boy do I remember it, I kept that ticket stub for years because it had the date in which Duane had passed because like I said it had been rescheduled after the tickets had gone out and he was killed, wish I still had that stub, when I came back from the Navy in 84 it was still in the drawer but when I got an apartment it got lost or stole

Yeah, this is a great collection. Although Dr. John is overall a great artist, some of his tracks not so much. This is a good collection, not the top overplayed tracks.
