Thanks so much for making this video! I'm currently in Carson City trying to get my brakes fixed but so looking forward to doing most all of these hikes in days to come.
Fun video thanks for the suggestions I would like to see a review on the heavenly valley hike that takes you to I believe a waterfall Keep them coming Gabriella !! 😊
Thank you! I watched so many of your videos before my recent trip to Tahoe and it was a tremendous help, the highlight was chickadee ridge, can't believe it actually worked! Thanks so much!😊
ThankYOU SO MUCH for this video. Be there for the 1st time next week & looking forward on doing lots of hiking. Video saved me lots if wondering around & guessing on where to hike 👍🤗
I just watched your beautiful and very informative video about the 13 best hikes in Lake Tahoe. I will come in Lake Tahoe on the first week of this April with my 25 yr old son who like me likes to hike and I dont know what April weather will allow us to do from those hikes. Would you please tell me a little more about a usual April weather in Lake Tahoe and which trails are not covered by snow in April? Thank you
It really depends on snow levels..April is usually a beautiful times to hike...Here is a blog I wrote about trails I like to do in winter (but they are year round trails of course): www.gabriellaviola.com/post/10-fantastic-winter-hikes-in-lake-tahoe
Hi Gabriella Thank you for all your postings. I very much enjoyed them. I never been to Lake a Tahoe before and after seeing your videos , have booked to be there this weekend. But looks like it s pretty bad weather there. Is it still bad? So sad if we need to cancel the trip.. nevertheless, thank you for the great videos!!
Hi Linda, I'm so glad you enjoyed the videos and that they are helpful to you! and yes, unfortunately Tahoe is not looking good right now with the smoke, its bad today and it's hard to predict when it's going to clear up...I actually just made a short video on the smoke situation in tahoe: th-cam.com/video/g0hvRyOT7r8/w-d-xo.html
Hi Gabriella Thank you so much for the update. I saw your video n it is very informative. I am so sad that we most probably need to cancel our trip on Monday. Still hoping for miracle! I saw the weather today n the smoke level improved..🙏 but guess the debris from the smoke will still linger ard ..argghhh.. Thanks so much Gabriella!
Great videos!! If you had only one afternoon and first time visiting Tahoe, would you choose Rubicon trail followed by a paddle boarding in Emerald bay? Or up north Monkey Rock trail? I’m hoping I can wrap the day with a nice dinner perhaps stateline restaurants? Thanks a lot.
I enjoyed the video and the especially your warm and gentle voice. I want to head up to Tahoe before Oct ends. I would like to try out the Rubicon 10 miles hike. Any other trails you would recommend for Autumn? Also which camp ground is good for a drive-up camp sire during Oct on week days. I like the freedom of not been tied to any reservations. Checking out your other videos...
Hey Ken I'm glad you like the video!...all the hikes are great in autumn ...The Rubicon trail will definitely not disappoint! My other favorite trail is Monkey Rock in Incline Village!
❤at the rate of 10 ...what level of difficulty is the Eagle falls trail especially the rocky stairs?😊thanks l have knee problems & in my 50's but, l love hiking & adventure😊❤
The upper eagle falls trail is very easy, and its short about 5 min from the parking lot, there are some stairs but they aren't too bad, you can keep going for another mile to Eagle Lake which is lovely...in the winter tho, that trail can be slippery...
when you make a video about these place. please show us where exactly to park. Last time we tried to look for cave rock and monkey rock during the snow season, we could not find them, in the end we had to give up. thank you.
@@davidevans6052I thought this was a serious comment for a second because I actually get asked to be a guide (which I'm def not)... too funny! 😂😂😂...but I actually did add the parking in my latest video
@@GabriellaViola I was being a bit cheeky . Iv never been to Tahoe but have visited Yosemite which I greatly enjoyed. Great vlogs and I’m def going to get to Tahoe one day 😃🇬🇧
Hi Gabriella. Great video. Do you know if there is any water at Cascade Falls now? Also, what's the closest nice beach from the Heavenly Village? Is Baldwin Beach ok?
I haven’t been to cascade since May and it was flowing.. it usually starts to dry up by July as far as I know …plus it’s a drought year. I have never been to Baldwin beach but I heard it’s nice …zephyr cove is also pretty close about a 12 min drive
Hi :) what area of Tahoe you live in? Or would like to live in? I’m looking at moving to Reno eventually. But if I can land a remote job, Tahoe itself seems very tempting
Great video. We just moved here from San Diego, and looking forward to experiencing one of these trails! Which trail is the easiest and shortest that you'd recommend?
If you don’t mind, I’d like to see the common areas of the many nice resorts in Lake Tahoe, particularly if it has a good view of the lake or architectural features. I’m not likely to drop massive $$$ on staying there, so videos of them will be a good substitute.
Our family is planning a visit tuesday through Saturday. With the fires do you think the short hikes are still possible. I have watched most of your videos. Keep it up
yes, they are absolutely possible. As far as the fires it all depends on the wind so it's so hard to predict if the weather will be clear or hazy .. it's a day-by-day kind of thing..yesterday was really bad with the smoke..today it's ok...
I am praying the fire stays east bound and doesnt head toward south Tahoe! Have you seen the mama bear with her 3 cubs swimming at Pope Beach? Stay safe
Have you ever noticed anything odd strange or even megalithic looking in Lake Tahoe? Ive been looking at some triaI and boulder climbing vids and it is suspicious. I just discovered Big Bear CA is a destroyed and obliterated ancient megalithic site.

You really cant go wrong with either! Monkey rock is a much shorter hike but the views are incredible
Hello, thank you so much for this video ! If I go to the lower eagles fail trail in August will there still be a waterfall running ?
its flowing pretty good right now! there should be something for sure

What place is that with the benches at 3:43? Is that vikingsholm trail?
that Emerald Bay State Park, you can drive right up to it

These are all pretty easy...I think cave rock is probably one of the shortest easiest trails on here ..but there all doable for most
and wecome to Tahoe!

there all pretty doable..but you can also check out this video which has some light hikes on it: th-cam.com/video/ObUiOH3z0bw/w-d-xo.html
Would it be OK to hike the trails in sport shoes instead of hiking shoes?
I hike in sneakers all the time, make sure they have some grip though, lots of loose dirt around tahoe
For chickadee ridge, is there snow all seasons? Even in August?
I don’t believe so …I think till around May maybe even June on average I want to say… but I could be wrong …there’s probably no snow there right now
I am praying the fire stays east bound and doesnt head toward south Tahoe! Have you seen the mama bear with her 3 cubs swimming at Pope Beach? Stay safe
Yes! I saw that video! wish I was there for that how amazing to see that in person! The smoke isn't bad in Tahoe--yet...and I hope it stays that way!
Can you swim in fallen leaf lake?
I havent myself, I imagine its freezing but im sure people do it!
Was planning a trip there next week, but fires changed our plans :(
Tahoe looks pretty clear as of right now but it’s so hard to predict what next week will be like 😬

Spring and fall are my favorites but any time of year is great!
Any houses up there for around 100k luv to move up there,,,
