    I always wanted one of these. Recently (2023) I bought one for the hell of it. First thing I noticed was how terrible the sound is.

    Does the cooling work when the lid is closed (assuming you have it set to "do nothing" when the lid is closed, as opposed to sleep etc).

    Thank you for the review. How about the fans? Some users complain They are too noisy. Do you recommend this ntb for Adobre PS, Premiere and AE or it is necessary to have Quadro bcos GTX is enough?

    I don't know man, but HP needs a new designer for their notebooks. Their notebook looks old and outdated in terms of design. If you're gonna pay for that much money they should have at least add more style into it. Like smaller bezels and give it a premium feel.

    Hi, thanks for the video!
    As I see it you are a ZBook user for years. Do you have any guarantee issue with these notebooks (G1 or G3)?
    Have you tried the G3 Studio? What do you think about the G3 with AMD FirePro w5170. Is the quadro better then FirePro?

    • @cenkaetaya
      @cenkaetaya  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, not sure about Quadro vs FirePro. I think this would come down to the software you plan to use. Personally I prefer bigger faster laptops with more ports / better cooling so I would probably not go for the studio myself. I have not seen the studio versions but i think if you get the 3 year warranty all of these computers should last a long time.

      Hi, this was just a quick overview of a laptop I had access to. I am actually still using my HP Zbook 17 G1 from about 4 years ago. i7-4700MQ, 32GB Ram, Nvidia K3100m, 1x 500GB SSD, 1x 250GB SSD and 1x 2TB HDD. Other then for very occasional gaming needs, I see no reason to upgrade.

    hi there,
    there is a g3 with 8 GB RAM and 500 hdd storage and quadro M1000M , price almost 500$.
    is it a good deal for 2020?

    • @cenkaetaya
      @cenkaetaya  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's alright. The laptop is highly up gradable so get it at the lowest price and then throw in a nice SSD / ram and such. The fact that it has a M1000M vs a 2000 is a bit of a set back. However due to the current world situation used laptop prices have also gone up. Personally id opt for a 2000 class GPU or get the 17 inch version with a 3000+.

      My 2014 Asus laptop 4700HQ with 16Gb RAM which I bought for 1150AUD was more performant than Macbook Pro with 6 core 32Gb Ram which was nearly 5kAUD. When I started UI tests Macbook in 5 minutes gets hot and stuck and does nothing, while asus works perfectly fine. I would not be looking for a new one if screen would not crack and I need 32GB ram also. Now I'm looking to buy either this one or Thinkpad P50

    Hi, have you had any problems with the battery or charge. I've owned my Hp zbook g3 17' for around 1 month and it is already dead. It cost me $5,700 NZ dollars. When I plug the charger in the charge light indicates that it is powering, however, neither the computer or battery would charge at all, so once the battery drained the laptop just died and cant be switched back on. HP technician phone line seem to think it is an issue with the mother board and is sending a local tech to replace it, however, substantial forums indicate that their is a manufacturing fault with the batteries in these workstations that HP is unwilling to admit as it would require a recall of over 1000 laptops. Have you come into any issues like this or heard of anyone with the same problem specifically with this g3 model? Am considering returning for a refund and switching to thinkpad or dell. Cheers

      Hi, no I have not. I am still using this laptop as my main computer for now almost 4 years. It has been the best laptop I have owned. I have not heard of any issues and I hope yours are resolved by HP.
