I usually prefer to attend the airport a little earlier than expected so I have time to eat and relax. Going back to the beginning of your video, I tend to eat in the lounge because I consume on an average of 6 meals+ a day due my career role. 😀

I love both the takeoff and landing.. I always choose a window seat, so that I can see the scenery. But cloud surfing is the absolute best! #AlwaysSunnyAboveTheClouds. Extra special when you can see a sunrise or sunset as you climb above the cloud cover. All in all, that looked like a very nice flight. Thanks for taking me along.
Hoi LTE, What a fantastic way to end your vacation in Sri Lanka on an Austrian Business class throne seat! Looks like you had a great flight, the food all looks delicious. The food trolley going down the aisle gives the meal service a little extra charm. The coffee menu is also something special Austrian as, very cool! My only complaint would be the small space your feet are in when in a lie flat position. Don’t think I would get very comfortable there being 2 meters tall. Thanks for sharing another great vacation in Sri Lanka! The Amanwella was definitely the best, what a scenery! Brendan
I flew this same product for an 800 $ upgrade from Vienna to LAX ! For the upgrade it was worth it, but one day before the same business class tickets were selling for 3000 (my ticket was 900$ since it was high season) . The lounge in Vienna was average. The service was also dry and (for one assistant) rude. The seat was extremely cramped and we had a full business class cabin. I wasn’t on throne seat so there was limited room. The bed mode was not good, it was very narrow and there was little wiggle room and since I was on the aisle whenever people walked by they brushed my legs. However one thing that led me to REALLY enjoying the experience was in AMAZING FOOD. It was perfection , the best I’ve ever had on a plane. Although they got my order for wiener schnitzel wrong , the chicken was divine. Would fly them again if the same upgrade rate is available but I would not pay 3000 $ for that seat. Thanks for the review 👍🏻

I always fly with the time at destination. So let’s say VIE to LAX leaving at 14:00 I would eat, quick 1hr-2hr nap at most than stay up for the other 8hrs because than when I land in LA around 6:30pm I feel as it’s 6:30pm negating the jet lag
I personally like the landing phase. Usually more to see for a longer period of time than during take-off. Great video, never flew with Austrian but the food in particular looks outstanding. ( I am hungry now :) )
Excellent video, love your “patient” camera pans! I flew one of those throne seats from Swiss last January. While the privacy and storage space is great, I must confess they felt too constricting when finding a position to sleep. I’d pick one of the less private seats in the future if it means a little more wiggle room.
It’s a 777 Air France. Super easy way to distinguish between a Boeing and Airbus is by their tails. Airbus’ tails have a small hump before they go up, while Boeing’s just stick out. If you look at the airplanes you show before take show, the Sri Lankan Airlines Airbus‘ tail has a small bump, while the Boeing 777 goes straight up.

I have traveled all over the world,with a variety of airlines,but none as good as Austrian Airlines(for food and service)In the early 80's I flew BA London to Vienna(Economy) it was crap, with a very surly stewardess.Back to London was by Austrian Airlines,what an amazing difference.Charming,friendly staff,knowledgeable,who couldn't do enough for me.The food was amazing(given that this was Economy.The first airline I had encountered, who gave you glass glasses,china plates,and metal cutlery.Maybe this is standard in economy now(I don't think so) One odd little blip.Because I had a(Veggie meal I had no wine but a bottle of water!The stewardess explained that the caterers assume if you are veggie you are Muslim and don't drink alcohol! She brought me 2 bottles of wine to replace the water,one red,one white. Such service. .
A big fan of Austria, beautiful country, rich heritage, kind hearted and polite people. Austrian airlines, is 10 times more Hospitable and stress free than Lufthansa and Swiss air together. Experience of 45 years of traveling !

Color looks very nice. Food looks great too. You can choose anything you like on the cart. The seats looks tight especially the 2 seater by the windows. Too hard to climb over when the person on the aisle is sleeping. You showed how to make the seat lie flat. That tight cubby hole is always annoying for me even though I'm a very small person. But the Throne seat good enough. I looking at it maybe for our next trip next year. Our planned trip last April was cancelled. That was AA B 777-300ER (international trips) and BA(for 1 short trip).Stay safe.
Generally, I eat on the plane when flying business class. But on my trips from Dhaka to London, I do this: I take the evening flight from Dhaka; as soon as I am aloft, I sleep all the way to Dubai; I shower and have supper in the lounge; I then sleep again in the early morning flight into London, and have a coffee and a roll at the arrivals lounge at Heathrow.

One of these trips when I go to visit my Sister in ZRH, I’m going to have my Virtuoso Agent book me on Austrian just to try the service. Usually I fly LH First Class via FRH with a two hour layover (my choice) so I can enjoy a hot shower ( I have a collection of the famous LH yellow ducks) and breakfast in their outstanding First Class Terminal before arriving refreshed in ZRH and to my Sister. On the way home, it’s always Swiss First nonstop primarily because after 11 hours, I just want to get home to my own house and bed. 😉
Enjoyable video ! The cook on board is a nice idea but it took ages before we got our food on my flight from Bangkok to Vienna. Departure around midnight, dinner served around 3 a.m. All I wanted was to sleep. In the morning the fried egg was completly liquid, so I gave it back. IMO ment to be good but unnessecary. Next time Eva Air again.

The answer to eating food in the lounge or the plane, can’t afford a business or first class ticket even in my dreams. As a result, I have only ever seen a lounge from the outside, mainly the entrance where it says lounge.

I prefer take-off to landing. Still get a tiny bit nervous during the landing :-) I have never had the privilege of eating in an airport lounge. I would probably have coffee or another beverage with a light snack, but would take advantage of the plane's food service. No, he is right. Austrian for long haul flights has Boeing777-200ER and Boeing767-300ER, just checked on their website site i also were sure Austrian has the -200ER version
I agree, definitely a Boeing 777-300ER :-) It does look a little bit like it has winglets, but those are actually called raked wingtips which extend the wingspan and are bent somewhat backwards.

Once again, a very professionally prepared trip report. Austrian look like a. good airline. Do they have First Class beyond the curtains up front? Great flight times here also, flying during the day and arriving in daylight as well. Meals looks scrumptious. Does the chef have to prepare all those meals on his own, or does he have a helper? I have always been fascinated by their triangular crockery. A very relaxing journey for me as well. Thank you.

People with a career path similar to mine eat 6+ meals a day, thus it's always a blessing to be able to eat in the lounge, as well on the plane... Innsbruck is a very splendid place. Have you been to Salzburg?

I would be eating everything in the buffet as well as on the plane, as much as I can handle. It is pre-paid, after all! I think the host doesn't eat that much because in another video of his, he said he gets nervous flying and doesn't eat in the lounge.
Did the aircraft come from Male? I can't imagine OS making money on a Vienna-Colombo only rotación. Nearly all airlines combine Colombo with the Maldives
I would prefer lounge rather than plane food. Firstly very fresh food also number of choice in hot and cold foods as well as beverages. You can try world taste.In plane kind of ok .

I would be eating everything in the buffet as well as on the plane, as much as I can handle. It is pre-paid, after all! I think the host doesn't eat that much because in another video of his, he said he gets nervous flying and doesn't eat in the lounge.

Did the aircraft come from Male? I can't imagine OS making money on a Vienna-Colombo only rotación. Nearly all airlines combine Colombo with the Maldives

I would prefer lounge rather than plane food. Firstly very fresh food also number of choice in hot and cold foods as well as beverages. You can try world taste.In plane kind of ok .
