They are one of the best in the world. Wish my company wasn't so dam cheap and took them to do our first class meals. My friends brother in law works for them. He's from Austria. Amazing operation they have.

What an exceptional flight, you’re very right in saying a true authentic taste of Austria and service felt so warm. Loved the livery of the plane too. The startup of the 777-200ER GE90s are completely different to the familiar startup of the 777-300ER GE90s
The Austrian C class experience is really great. I was always delighted by the food and the wine selection. If they would have a modern fleet they could really be at par with all the 5 star airlines cruising around. Listen, LUFTHANSA: Give them 12 Dreamliner, quickly, or as some say in Austria: zack, zack, zack 😁
Yes, Austrian needs to have their fleet modernised with the 787, A350 and A220 for short hauls

Completely agree with this review. Biz Class service in Austrian is superb. Not just the food and beverage, but service too. Better than Lufthansa and Swiss.
The catering looks amazing
DO & CO Catering IMO is one of the best in the world. HQ are in NYC. They wanted to cater my companies first class but they didn't take them on. Probably because to expensive.

Austrian's whole triangle plate set for meals idea came from Lauda Air, another great Austrian airlines that went bankrupt and taken over by Austrian Airlines.

Austrian is an airline I've never considered flying, but having visited the country, I shouldn't be surprised that the service was so warm and welcoming aboard!

I enjoy your trip reports very much! I get to see places and fly airlines without leaving my home!! However, this is one of the very few that I actually wished I was there! It seemed as though you had enough to do to make a long trip seem very short! I noticed you didn't even mention having a nap!! Great video. Keep up the good work!!

Amazingly well made video. You explained several aspects of the flight very, very well; and that too without a soundtrack.
This flight checked all the boxes, with very good (and very Austrian) catering. The one downside of the seating is lack of access to the aisle for window seats.
Bob Rogers it depends of the row! Every second window seat onboard the B777 in C-class has direct access to the aisle! Onboard the B767 EVERY window seat in C-Class has direct access to the aisle!
When on the throne seat, it’s all 5 stars

I’ve done this flight to and from LAX. Good service, not a huge name airline but the service was very good. I didn’t like the coffin feel in Business Class when sleeping so I slept somewhat upright. Economy was not bad either on my second flight.
The food and the service looks impeccable!
I’ve flown them on the same route and the meal was also unforgettable!
The winerschnitzel was better than the ones Ive ate in Vienna and the chicken was so moist
The only thing that they need to improve is their seats, they are way too narrow just like the ones on Swiss.
And their service was not very friendly unlike most of the Lufthansa group.
Also the lounge catering is good, but the lounge itself is something by they should also improve.
But the meal made up for it all😀
