You would be surprised how many reactors miss that the drummer only has one arm, they are so trying to put a show on for the subscribers by rocking out that they fail to pay attention to the video and don't pick up on it which is an epic fail so well done for spotting it. It shows you are interested in what you are doing and not just faking it for those that are watching.
However, some people focus way too much on the video, so much that they don't listen to the song, that annoys me even more lol. Brad & Lex don't do that though :)

80's classic rock band, one of the best. soo many great songs. Rick Allen was the drummer, he lost his arm before they made the 'Histeria' album this song is from. They waited for him to recover and work out how to still play with one arm, and supported him all the way through it. There was never any question of replacing him... what a bunch of lads... awesome
This was probably their biggest album. They waited years to produce this because the drummer lost his arm and they had to wait til he was able to record. Props to the drummer for his determination and props to the band who waited and stuck by him.
They actually recorded the album while he was recovering. The drums were programmed by the producer Mutt Lange. That takes nothing away from the fact that Rick Allen is a beast. I saw them in 2006 and he plays better with one arm than some dudes with all 4 limbs.
Really they didn't wait that long it was 3 years between records and he only cost them one year so they didn't have to wait long I've seen Pink Floyd and Boston take over 8 years to make a record LOL
One of my favorite albums to play guitar to. I saw this concert up in Anchorage Alaska back in 1989 when they first started the Hysteria Tour. It was AWESOME!!!!!!

I personally think we overrate High and Dry album because of Rick Allen's accident and change of sound that followed a couple of albums later. but for me personally, Hysteria is their best musical album, and Pyromania is their definitive heavy metal/hard rock sound. High and Dry was a very good album, but lacked hit songs outside of Bringin on the hearbreak. It is just my opinion, so if you disagree, it is totally fine. but to me, what separates great artists from great technicians is the difference from say, Jimy Hendrix who was the best of his era as a gutiar player, he was also the best song writer for rock and roll and one of the more memorable singers of his time. Steve Vai and Joe Satriani are great guitarists, but what great songs have they written that an average music fan can recall? to me, High and Dry sounds great for metal heads and hard rock purists that appreciate the early 80s sound. but nobody today remembers Al Di Meola anymore for a reason. PS- Same goes for the Detroit madman, Ted Nugent. he continues to claim that he is one of the best virtuosos of alltime guitarists, but he was not considered one of the best in his own era. and outside of Cat Scratch Fever, he didn't have other top chart songs. his solos for his time, were fairly fast but it hardly ever strayed from his same scale and licks. but I still see people who bats for Ted. I don't get it as a guitar player myself, but whatever floats your boat, I guess.

"Hysteria" made it to #2 (I think) on the top 100 but the impressive part is it stayed on the top 100 for 3 years. One of the greatest bands in history and they're still together and touring today except for Steve Clarke RIP
Def Leppard was my group growing up.. love their music.. check out other songs off hysteria album... Rocket , women , Armageddon it , excitable... 😎💯👍👍
I love how you both are so open-minded and interested in listening to so many different types of music. Love your channel! Def Leppard are an iconic band and should truly be respected. They didn’t give up on their mate, Rick Allen when he lost his arm in a horrific car accident in 1984. They let Pete Willis (one of their guitarists) go due to his alcoholism in 1982 and tried to help Steve Clark (their other guitarist) through his alcoholism however, he unfortunately died from a mix of prescription drugs and alcohol in 1991. Through their tragedies, they still managed to stay tight as a band, make great music and maintain true professionalism. Their music was great to play at parties or just cruising around town. I still listen to them in the car and find myself singing along whenever their tracks come up in my playlist. :)
"Under appreciated"??? I remember when you moved the radio dial from station to station and all they played was Def Leppard! No B.S. Actual fact! Not to mention they can still to this day sell out arenas.
They played it in clubs in the '80s and it's also a good song riding down the road on the highway on a nice summer day with the windows down. Cool breeze blowing in your face jamming out.
Seen them in concert in 2002 and it was AWESOME! Before going to work night shift my best friend and I would cruise around town. Pretty sad we had to use a HUGE boom box because her radio didn't work 😂. I would hold it out the window and just jamming. Everyone knew we were coming 🎉 THE GOOD OLE' DAYS ❤ LOVE DEF LEPPARD ❤❤❤
Lex talking about life in the 80's..."What did they eat? What hair products did they use?" I was laughing my ass off. I never felt older in my life. I felt like she was talking about 80s people like we were an ancient civilization or something. She is absolutely awesome and hilarious. Just for the record, we ate STEAK, POTATOES, ITALIAN, PIZZA or basically everything everyone eats right now except now people eat healthier...more organic today. We listened to this stuff in our cars and homes but on TAPES. I remember when this album (Hysteria) was released and my buddy who were in high school traveled to Seattle on a 2 hour drive just to get this tape. We listened to it all the way home and were blown away by how good it was. There's something really great about listening to something new and realizing that nothing had been heard like this before and knew we were listening to something that was going to be huge before it was. The 80s were killer and I would love to go back. Best concert I have ever seen b.t.w. Love your reviews guys and watch every day.
80's Rock, people listened to it everywhere, at home, in the car, at the bar and clubs, at parties....you would dress in tight jeans, T shirts, boots, jean jackets, or leather jackets and the girls would wear tight sexy dresses and high heels, or also in jeans or tights and flashy tops....they would it all the same types of food you eat today, pizza, burgers & fires, subs, pasta, salads....etc...
After the drummer lost his arm in a car accident the band got behind him and they helped design a new drum kit so that he could play with both his feet and still kick butt on the drums like you would not believe.
Photograph, Pour Some Sugar on Me , Hysteria, Rock of Ages, oh crap almost forgot Bringin' On the Heartbreak, Foolin' . Personally I think the right mode Def Leppard just works perfectly. Enjoyed the reaction keep it going .
I was born in the 80s, what a great time, I’m 38 and wish I would have lived my 20s through the 80s….everyone got along and now so much bs pushed, we need to get back to the 80s of love!
I met him once at a coffee shop. I kept looking at him and he shook my and introduced him selp. He started laughing and I'm crying. I hugged him real hsrd.
One of my favorite bands!! In 2003, I was 17 and BEGGED my dad to get me Def Leppard concert tickets for Christmas. I didn't want anything else. He got online and bought 3 tickets for my mom to take me and one of my friends. I'm glad I got to see them when they were still fairly young. ❤❤❤
Drummer is Rick Allen. He lost his arm Dec 31st 1984 in a car accident. He retrained himself to use his left foot to play what his left arm did. His engineer came up with a pedal system. So he uses both feet along with his right arm. He never gave up and the rest of the band waited til he was ready to play again. They are a rock band. Good songs to check out are "rock of ages", "photograph", "pour some sugar on me" to name a few
I am one of Def Leppard’s hugest fans & a fan of most genres. DL are rock n roll HOF royalty. This could be defined as the pop rock of the 80’s. Check out their biggest hit “Pour some sugar on me” & you’ll feel how this band teeters on the outskirts of rock & into other grooves. Finally, the diff between 80’s rock & 90’s rock is that the 80’s were superior in regards to musicianship , & the 90’s stripped it back down to basics a bit until bands like Korn & Linkin Park really blurred the lines of rock & hip hop.
It wasnt a case of keeping him, replacing him wasnt even a thought. They were just going to break up but instead Rick showed so much determination and courage they waited four years for him to relearn his craft and Hysteria is the result.
The 1980s was a new experience for music. MTV actually played music videos, all day, every day. Coming home from school and watching MTV was how kids were experiencing music. Hair Metal, New Wave, and even the birth of mainstream hip/hop were expressed through elaborate and colorful videos. These “new” forms of music were piped into America’s living rooms. So, they still maintained a certain wholesomeness or in some cases a double entendre. Like another Def Leppard song, “Pour Some Sugar on Me.” Most of the music from that time was fun.
They are rock. Their big break was in 1983 with the song Photograph. They rules the 80’s, this was played in the clubs, I was 18 in 1983. Drinking age was 18 in Wisconsin Listen to photograph Armageddon Pour some sugar on me Love Bites (ballad) Just a start, their catalog of songs is pretty big. Rick Allen the drummer lost his arm in a car accident Nee Years Eve 1984, he lost control of his corvette, he was thrown from the car through the sun room and his seat belt severed off his left arm. The people who seen it happen save his life, the lady was a nurse. Than a guy came along and he helped her save his life. Theses 2 strangers, fell in love and got married. Rick always talks about it.
They cranked all this from that one album "Animal" Released: 20 July 1987 "Women" Released: 25 August 1987 "Pour Some Sugar on Me" Released: 8 September 1987 "Hysteria" Released: November 1987 "Armageddon It" Released: March 1988 "Love Bites" Released: July 1988 "Rocket" Released: 30 January 1989
How to dress to a Def Leppard concert in the 80s when this band was the top band then? The lead singer was hot then and many girls from age 16 to 30, or older dressed sexy to get Joe's attention. The video for Pour Some Sugar on Me shows you a glimpse of it. It was a real concert in Denver, CO that was made into video for the US. The UK version had a very different one. But I digress. Many young ladies back wanted to marry Joe, Rick Savage the bassist, or Steve Clark--the guitarist with long blonde hair. Guys wore the usual jeans and a rock oriented/Def Leppard T shirt.
The drummer went to the same school as me, and the bands first gig was at a school round the corner from where I once lived, I found all this out along after I became a fan
honestly the setting of this song is a heavy duty Diesel shop. my family run a trucking/gravel biz an i showed my uncle spotify. he went nuts on the classic rock area a music. and when we be working on the trucks, trailers. lying in grease/oil or mud. it’s a great tune to hear in the background when we be working on are trucks givin it all we got to fix whatever goes. awesome to see you guys react to this band always a great tune. 🤟
This is my fav. Def Leopard song. Photograph is probably second. Seems like an eternity ago popping a cassette in the car stereo back in High School and jamming out to these kinds of songs. Like a whole other lifetime. Just nuts. To answer your question though... this would be playing in the gym... when you go on a run with your "walk-man" and whenever driving around in a car. Of course you could really jam out at home by jumping around and signing to it as well. We didn't have the internet back then or cell phones.

I met my husband freshman year of high school 1989. We have always been avid concert goers and still see these guys whenever they are in town.
You play this stuff in the car full blast BRO.
The one arm from a car wreck, the band kept him. Great Band.
Wish I had stock in hairspray back then. Great reaction. This is one of my favorite bands. Great reaction!
Such a good song...Def Leppard was the under appreciated band of 80s and 90s and yet they lit it up
"Under appreciated"??? I remember when you moved the radio dial from station to station and all they played was Def Leppard! No B.S. Actual fact! Not to mention they can still to this day sell out arenas.
This album came out in 87...good times the 80's!!
We listened to it Everywhere , everyday !!! Wake up to go to school, clubs, in the car.. lol
We listened to this just chilling or cruisin around even at partys. Good music is enjoyed everywhere and at anytime!
Everyone knew we were coming 🎉 THE GOOD OLE' DAYS ❤
LOVE DEF LEPPARD ❤❤❤
These songs are perfectly crafted masterpieces... Soooo cool!
Just listen to the whole Hysteria album, every song is awesome!
Saw them in concert a few years ago. Awesome!
I like Def Leppard. When they came to San Antonio TX, I said I got to go see the drummer Rick Allen play.
Dude is amazing
I was born in the 80s, what a great time, I’m 38 and wish I would have lived my 20s through the 80s….everyone got along and now so much bs pushed, we need to get back to the 80s of love!
Rick Allen is one of the most inspiring figures in music for his AMAZING recovery... Love Rick and all the Leppards for life.
Def Leppard was my first big rock show in Tacoma, 1988. This whole album is a masterpiece. Keep Rock Alive!! 🤘🏽🖤🔥🙌🏼 ℁
YES THE SONG WAS PLAYED ALOT BACK IN THE DAY AT THE ROLLER SKATE RINK IN THE 80'S LOVE THE REACTIONS .... THEY ARE REALLY KNOWEN FOR THE LOVE SONGS

One of my favorite choruses of all time. Love watching your reactions
My favorite radio band of the 80's . All of DefLeppard Vault . Must hear !
OH SHIT A DEF LEPPARD REACTION! NOW WE GETTIN TO THE JAMS BABY!
Always loved Joe Elliott's voice - true rock-n-roll, gritty, powerful voice and could hit high notes too.
I Love Them !! So glad you took a Listen. Did you know their drummer lost his left arm, n is STILL Rocking it !!
nice job!!!back in the day is were I go when I here this band
Def leopard has so many good songs. Can't wait for more
Drummer is Rick Allen.
God I miss the 80's! BEST decade of my life. 🤘🤘
My favorite Def Leppard song….love bites. Great song
heheh I love you guys and agree with the comments about the band sticking by their mate. Kudos and my heart goes to you!!!
Love your appreciation of so many genres and generations of music!
Bringing on the heartache is a must do
Def Leppard became my favorite band when they decided to keep the drummer after his accident. Designed a drum set so he could continue playing.
My favorite Def Leppard song! Thanks for reacting ❤🤘
Do more Def Leppard! Lex, I'm in love with you!
They are rock. Their big break was in 1983 with the song Photograph. They rules the 80’s, this was played in the clubs, I was 18 in 1983. Drinking age was 18 in Wisconsin
Listen to
photograph
Armageddon
Pour some sugar on me
Love Bites (ballad)
Just a start, their catalog of songs is pretty big.
Takes me right back to high school. Take me back to the 80s! Def Leppard was top of the list! So many great songs and albums! This album is all fire!

Thanks for the reaction, Lex !
The drummer went to the same school as me, and the bands first gig was at a school round the corner from where I once lived, I found all this out along after I became a fan
"Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad" plz. Awesome reaction guys.
Rock band, absolutely. Check out def leppard old stuff. "Bringing on the Heartbreak" or "Saturday Night, high & dry". Great music
honestly the setting of this song is a heavy duty Diesel shop. my family run a trucking/gravel biz an i showed my uncle spotify. he went nuts on the classic rock area a music. and when we be working on the trucks, trailers. lying in grease/oil or mud. it’s a great tune to hear in the background when we be working on are trucks givin it all we got to fix whatever goes.
awesome to see you guys react to this band always a great tune. 🤟
Lex"s face once she hears Def Leppard. I love her!
Love Def Leppard and every song of theirs. Do more!
Def Leppard: Rocket
Much ❤ to you both
This is nostalgia rock for me anyways! My older sister had me listening to this at like age 7 and 8 loll
check out "rock of ages" one of the songs that got me into rock and eventually metal. the music video is amazing
