WHY DID I STOP USING DOO GRO + INTRO TO AYURVEDIC HERBS +6 WEEK UPDATE & PICS ❗️❗️

- Hey y'all I know its long overdue. I just wanted to update you guys. I did an 'experiment' where I wanted to try something new with my hair. I LOVE my Doo Gro mix but I wanted to make sure I was not hendering myself by not venturing out and trying new products.
If I wanted to try anything it would be Ayurvedic herbs because of how natural and holistic the these herbs are. I did a lot of research and made my own personal mix that I fely would cater to my hair and what it needs/lacks.
In this video I went 2 weeks without using my Doo Gro mix, then I applied the Ayervedic Oil on my scalp about 4-5 times a week for 6 weeks. Before applying , I used the LCO method. I watered my hair, used a leave in (Mielle cream leave-in conditioner was my leave in of choice) and last I used this oil mix.
The mix definitely grew my hair but I didn't like how it made my hair feel. I felt like I was still lacking moisture. In all, I will continue to use this mix, but I will use it as a pre poo or mix it in a butter rather than using it solely as an oil.
I will go back to using my Doo Gro mix LOL . I wanted to experiment more but if its not broke why fix it 😎 One and a half week update will be posted this week!
What I used:
Amla Powder
Aloe Vero Powder
Neem Powder
Shikakai Powder
Jamaican Black Castor Oil
Avocado Oil
Vitamin E Oil
AS ALWAYS THIS IS MY JOURNEY THAT I DOCUMENT.
Advice and constructive criticism is always appreciated.

Congrats on your hair growth. Your edges are filling in quite well. I can’t wait to see your two year update. Happy New Year to you & i’m wishing you a prosperous hair journey in 2024.
Girl!!!!! Your hair has been doing so well since your big chop!! I'M SO PROUD OF YOU AND YOUR CONSISTENCY!! I'm excited for the length check.
You comment put the biggest smile on my face, you made my weekend 💕💕💕
Your hair looks so healthy cant wait to see your update at the end of 2024
I tried your mixture, and I keep my hair in braids. Even though I don't use it nearly as much as you do, my friend (who braids my hair) noticed growth! Thank you for sharing!
Yesss! I love that! Congrats on your growth!
Good to see you. Looking forward to more updates. Wish you a happy and safe New Year!
Happy New Year to you as well 💕 I appreciate all your support
Can't wait for the update
GIRL!!!!!!! I just started my Ayurvedic journey this week and I thought about you. Excited to see your growth ❤
@Tami The Creator It's soo good to see you again with your updated natural hair growth journey. I miss you!🤗💋💞
I just thought about you yesterday night while on channel that I have not seen your end of the year update and boom 💥 here I got your notification today. Your hair has really grown.
Stick with what works for you sis! You're doing a great JOB!!!
So glad I came across your channel! Will try the mixture !! Your hair is so healthy, love it 🥰
Loved that you at least tried a new mix. Maybe it can be used on the off days when not using Doo-Grow. Your hair is thriving sis
This is what I've been waiting for love your hair updates. I just keep it simple. I make a spritz for wash day green tea with neem and cloves, spray it on my scalp and hair. Then had my bond builder to my hair then wash it out after 30 mins. Wash my hair, deep condition. Leave in, heat protectant blow dry and then sweet almond oil on my hair, castor oil on my ends and nothing on my scalp. Oil my ends when needed. My hair grows nothing complex or labour intensive. Happy New Year when it comes.
Loveeee this. I’m trying to make routine the same (only difference is I have to oil my scalp lol) so good to hear from you btw!!💕 Happy New Year
@@tamithecreator It's all about getting the right routine for you and your hair. My routine isn't 100% but it's getting close. I've been working on my eating habits, sugar reduction, exercise and water, they all contribute. Lastly I am going to treat my hair as it's own being because I am starting to think it really is and just being more gentle and taking my time (I'll let you know how that goes!). Have a great New Year ps: so happy you are back.
@@LivingInTheShade I’m hoping you’re documenting your journey. I would love to see it one day. You sound like you’re doing everything correct lol & thank you, glad to be back ♥️
Yesssssss. I been following since day 1
Now you know that I've been following you since you did the big chop. So, I've been doing almost the same thing 😀😂. So I will try this as well. Thanks Hun!! Blessings to you!!
Appreciate you so much! Happy New Year!
New subie, and your hair growth is wonderful! I will definitely try this.
Aww! Thank you so much subbing 🥹💕
🤗You are so blessed to have found the aloe vera powder... I haven't found it anywhere around me...
There is a brand called *MiNature* that sells it on Amazon and a bunch of other great powders - hibiscus, fenugreek etc . All organic
Tami I missed you I been waiting for you to post
I been backed with with worth but I promise I’m back for good 🥹💃🏽💃🏽 I appreciate you Lakesha
I was LITERALLY just thinking about you! Look at God lol. I'm glad to see you!
Same🤭🥰
Recently, I went to an Indian grocery store and they had lots of herbs and spices. I plan to go back and buy some of the herb powders. I will get four powders and add them to my rosemary and fenugreek oil.
You can add drops of peppermint and rosemary for added benefits as well as for the smell. Camille rose has a rosemary daily mist that adds a lot of moisture to the hair
Adding that mist to my purchase list! ✍️👀 thank you
Gurllll yes Camille rose products are fire. That honey hydrate will keep your hair moisture for fre days. Nothing moisture this 4c hair of mine like that honey hydrate
It wasn’t moisturizing because oil does not moisturize. You have to moisturize it before oil.
Well she did say she was using LCO. Liquid she was using was rosemary water
U should use shikaikai as a hair washing mask. Cleanest my hair has ever been. Make a paste with it, also mix it with neutral henna and fenugreek powders. Use them as your wash. Then amla for the conditioning
Hey sis don't give up yet just because some products don't work that doesn't mean some other won't. I highly recommend shea or coco butter I been using shea butter for months now. I still use doo gro but not as much now that I'm using shea butter.
I was just replying to the other comment you left but I wouldn’t let me. You read my mind, I purchased mango butter actually (since it’s a little more hydrating) & I wanted to make a simple butter. Just mango butter, rosemary & a carrier oil. I’m making it soon & will definitely document the journey
@@tamithecreator sis I can't wait to see the the next video. Happy new year sis ❤️ ❤️❤️.
For the smell use essentiel oil and your need to moisturise before using your oil.
With these Ayurvedic herbs, you must deep conditioner the hair. Also use leave in conditioner. I have just learned of your channel today.
After looking at your video 😊 I’m going to start back using the do mix too. How often do you wash your hair?? It as grown so long.
Definitely use it! I used to wash every 4-5 week now I wash every 2-3 weeks & that’s been working better for me
Thank you for this ! Great video 😊 would you ever combine the two ? This with your do grow mix ?
Noooooo lol I only use the doo gro mix, I don’t really mess with the herbs anymore, my hair didn’t respond well to them
@@tamithecreator lol I feel you 😂😂 ty for responding and great content ! You have a new subbie and Im still checking out your old vids 👍
@@lisab6375 awwwww 🥰 appreciate you so much 💕💕
I make the Ayurvedic oils too but you have to wash it out. I think you only can leave it on overnight
But did you regrow the edge on the right side of your head?
If you did the doo gro every other day how often did you wash your hair? And did you blow dry it everytime after
Hey! I washed every 7-10 days even if it was just a co wash & I would let my braids air dry completely. I only blow dried when doing fresh braids/twist (every 4-6 weeks)
`dont stop the ayervedic, thats what actually will help grow back your edges. they work well with hair loss or balding. I think you should keep it up longer.
i had to go back to blue magic for my hair to start growing lol 😭
Lmao your picture but yes 😭😭 gotta stick to what we know
I used moringa powder
Crazy enough I purchased moringa but didn’t use it 🥹
Did u have alopecia or u just had hair damage ?
Can one mix the doo gro mix with the aryuvedic herbs mix?
I honestly wouldn’t do it 🥴
Your hair is low porosity so make sure your oils don’t have too much protein
Maybe shouldve put more oil ❤❤
is that Pure Black castor Oil or mixed with soy?
I only use 100% castor oil
Hola 😇 you no supposed to leave those herbs in hair, they are good for treatment. Blessings ❤️ 🙏
Now I know 😭, thank you
hi,you should not use ayurveda every day prepoo is best or use once a week ph balance is important
Prepoo it is, now I know. Thank you 💕
@@tamithecreatoryou are welcome. If your hair n scalp likes pure 100% strain fresh aloe vera from the aloe vera leaf use every 3-4 days or once every 7 days it is awesome along with your sealing oil,Sheabutter
Healthy thick long hair great for
length retention
See that's why I be afraid to try new products 😅 sorry it didn't work for you. Sticking to what you know never fails
Rosemary water? Do you have a video on that?
Hey! I don’t have a sole video on it but all I did was boil some water, add rosemary leaves to the hot water & let it sit overnight. It lasts a week but keep it refrigerated.
@@tamithecreator 👋🏾 Thank you!
Too much powder are you madd only raw Material only
I'm not "mad" and I stated in this video that this was a trial and error and no longer use this mix.
