    I went to my second appointment today, here are a few answers to some common questions you guys may have.
    1. The injections: The name of the injections are Kenalog, its a steroid
    2. The Oil: Unfortunately, she was not able to give a proper name to the oil/droplets. The oil is compound meaning the lab mixes a few things together to make it. I'll try to find out the components of the mix and show the label in my next update.
    3. The dermatoligist office I go to is Parkland Dermatology in Parkland Florida. (Parkland is in south Florida)
    Let me know if you have any other questions, I'll answer them in my update.

    You have to do what you need too. I started a hair health and growth journey April, 2020. I have made great growth and the health of my hair is great. I pre poo with conditioner and oil because my hair is dry and tangles. I section and detangle. Find what works for you. I use the Doo Grow Mix. Have for 3 years. It has helped with itching. And my hair loves it. What worked when you were young will still work.

    I have been using the oil that my dermatologist prescribed me for almost 3 months now. I see a major change, but im thinking about getting injections at my follow up appt. I think you should get microneedling done by your dermatologist then if you feel comfortable do it yourself. ❤

      Hey Monica! I love that we're on the same journey 💕 You should definitely get the injection, I thought the oil was doing well on its own but the injections gave me more results in 2 weeks than the oil gave me in 2 months. My injections were called Kenalog look into the side effects before you choose to do them. Good luck! update me

    • @tamithecreator
      @tamithecreator  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@monicachika66 it depends on how bad your damage is. I had 3 areas of concern. The minor spot only needed one injection, the moderate side needed 2, my right side is what’s killing me. At first she said 3 rounds but I just got round two done and I’m skeptical. The appts are spread 4-6 weeks apart

I appreciate your updates and I’m glad your edges are transforming to their true form. My personal opinion is to get the micro needling professionally done. I think it’ll help worth it but of course ALWAYS GO WITH YOUR GUT!! 🙏🏾🤝🏾

      I grabbed my box of VHF & read the instructions & it says to apply to hair and scalp & style as desired. (The instructions are in French so I read it to the best of my abilities) but it doesn’t say to wash out. Are you looking at the tube VHF? I know they have other products.

      Thank you! And I usually have my hair in cornrows so while in the shower I focus shampoo and conditioner around my hairline. If my braids are fresh I shower with my shower cap pushed back behind my hairline so they don’t get wet. If my braids are old then I don’t mind if a little shampoo or conditioner get on them, I just make sure I fully dry my hair before bed

    Hi Tami. Have you tried red light therapy for your hair? I have one I purchased by irestore, reconditioned,on eba for about 200 bucks. Also another thing that helped me tremendously was collagen peptide powder. Vital proteins is the most popular but since I do take it faithfully I found bulk suppliers. I take bovine & marine. Vitamin D +K2, iodine, vitamin C & cod liver oil is what I also take as well. You’ll see vitamin C is a building block for collagen. Most of us are low in vitamin D + K2, which is essential for hair growth. Cod liver is an omega 3 which most of us don’t get enough of, also essential for the most healthy hair. Lastly red meat is iron rich. Administrating women tend to be low in iron so eat your red meat. I suggest trying some of these internal things, plus the red light therapy, to see if it helps your edges. When I did this my hair did a 180! Best to you.

      Hey! Red light therapy you say? I'm intrigued. I've seen videos on red light therapy for skin but never for hair.. You've sparked my interest, I'm definitely going to look into this. (also internally, I'm a mess, I eat Mc Donalds for dinner 😩 but I'm. working on it lol) Thank you 💕

    Great video. I have never loved my hair. 3 years ago a stylist ripped out my crochet braids. My relaxed hair was weak before that but still pretty and shoulder length. All I could do was cut it all off. Now I am old, Ai, for the FIRST time ever, I love the natural hair God gave me. No more harsh chemicals or heat treatment. Water, sealers ( cream and oil), and gel are my best friends. My type 4 hair is amazing - I now can see how chemicals and heat weakened my hair.
