It is more like scripted parts. Like you go through the arrows before the tunnel Marcus won't appear but if you do - it will appear no matter how far is he. Plus at the last part it is the same deal with the straight before the finish line - he will teleport at the same place no matter how far behind is he is or how far ahead he is.
I sure like when someone actually makes a good Initial D reference without spamming the same four songs… This must have taken a lot of time! Gutter runs, great choice of songs, haven’t seen that in a long time!

The Run was such a good game, shame it was rushed and they had to reuse maps. Still hoping one day there's a Remaster that makes it an actual finished game
Unused cars + unfinished cars, no Tier 5/6 campaign, some cars have incomplete handling, and the Cayenne mobs supposed to appear in the final race. It is just a shame Black Box were forced to use frostbite engine with most of the development time used on repurposing frostbite for a racing game.
Tbh playing the tracks in reverse online and in challenge series is pretty fun, they often play different to the forwards track since you come into the corners at different speeds. Then again it kinda ruins the immersion in the single player. You’re in New Jersey in stage 10 but end up driving a stage 6 track from Colorado in reverse. Truly a shame the game never really got the polish it deserved.
