  • Join my wife and me on a personal aerial journey over the magnificent Minyon Falls, one of the most awe-inspiring spots we've had the chance to explore together in New South Wales. Flying the drone as a team, we captured this stunning waterfall that plunges over 100 meters into a dense rainforest valley. It’s incredible to think that Minyon Falls is part of the ancient caldera of the Tweed Volcano, which erupted over 20 million years ago, shaping the breathtaking scenery we see today.
As we flew over the heart of Nightcap National Park, we were both struck by how untouched and serene the landscape felt. Knowing that this land holds deep cultural significance for the Bundjalung people, who have called this area home for thousands of years, made the experience even more special. The falls and the surrounding forest are regarded as sacred, and being able to share this moment together was a privilege.
Exploring the falls from above, we marveled at the diversity of the landscape - from the lush greenery to the ancient rock formations carved by centuries of water flow. The park is also a sanctuary for incredible wildlife, including koalas, goannas, and a variety of native bird species. We hope this video conveys the connection and awe we felt during this unforgettable experience. Take a moment to see Minyon Falls through our eyes and discover why it's such a hidden gem in the heart of NSW.
