I Just discovered Uniqlo here in NY, thank you Emma for highlighting the brand last week. The cargo trousers and chinos are terrific. Good quality and price point. I also can not afford many of the items you have but oh how I appreciate them! I do invest in well made classic clothing like the COS coat and the Birkenstocks which will last for years. I am saving $ in the long run by purchasing something that won't look like hell after only one season wearing it. Fashion is an art form, thanks for the gift of style Emma. Great vlog, wonderful way to start my Mother's Day!

I love an elasticated waist. I’m a 12, but my slightly thicker waist appreciates the comfort factor of a bit of give. Many of my trousers are from Marks.
My waist is thicker compared to my narrow hips, so elastic waists in trousers and skirts are a must for me. It can be just in the back of the waistband, if it’s stretchy enough. I also love elastic because it gives when I sit, then tightens back up when I stand and walk. Otherwise, “bottoms” tend to just slide down off my skinny hips. I’ve been embarrassed this way too many times! I wear mostly skirts and dresses, but I like to have a few trouser options, too. Thanks for this video, it’s a good one.
90’s me is loving that cargo trousers are back in fashion, and I agree that khaki is the best colour for them. Also, you had me at elasticated waistband 😉. Particularly also love those tailored trousers 🤍

It's always the trousers I see on social media that I want but I know the person modelling it is at least 3 inches shorter than me so I know they won't fit! This is why I love watching Emma, unfortunately I can't afford most of the pieces she shows. I'll take a look at All Saints as I've never considered them for trousers, thank you 🙂
Hi, I'd love to avoid fast fashion but for us tall ladies there aren't many mid-range options I find... it's either Asos Tall, the odd Zara find, or expensive brands like Joseph and Filippa K. Good luck to us! X
Hi Emma. I really like the range of trousers you choose for your wardrobe- very much the styles I go for. I too, am all about a more casual look whilst having the ability to dress up the style with a blazer or trench when needed and comfort is definitely a priority! 💖🌸👍🏻

No I don’t have any issues with dirt but I suppose it depends on what footwear I was to wear with them as some of my trainers have a chunkier sole so the trousers don’t actually touch the floor x

Have you tried the Scholl insoles? I believe other brands do them as well but I’ve used the Scholl ones in Converse and they’re great for providing arch support in very flat footbed trainers 🙌🏼
I have some, they are great but the trainers that come in arch support are best so im on the hunt for white trainers that would go with tailored trousers Xx

I'd recommend pantypromise. They're laser-cut seamless cotton underwear that comes in a variety of cuts. I will say laser-cut underwear can tend to curl a bit at the edges so you might need to smooth it out after putting it on to make sure that no VPL occurs but they do the trick. They are a bit pricey but it's hard to find other things that can beat them. Otherwise it might be good to look into women's boxers as an option as well

I’m lucky enough to have a local store so I always go in and try items on. To be honest I have a range of different sizes across trousers, some items I buy in a S and others a M depending on the fit x
I don't know if it is good or bad, you tell me. The thumbnail already shows the variety of trousers, so i don't feel the need to watch the video. I do get lots of inspiration from you and your style, but i cannot afford the price range of most brands you are covering. The thumbnail is supposed to show what’s in the video otherwise if it’s not accurate people complain, so I can’t really win 🙈 You might see what trousers are featured but just by looking at thumbnail you won’t hear my thoughts on them and forgive me if I’m wrong but I was under the impression that that’s why people watch my videos as they are interested in my thought process/opinion. I wear very basic pieces which are so easy to find when thrifting and you sound like a regular thrifter so I don’t doubt you’ll find what you’re looking for ❤️

That is another bonus of elasticated waistbands. I had a couple of pairs of jeans which I got rid of earlier this year because they didn’t fit but otherwise most of my jeans/ trousers have been slightly on the large side when purchases so it’s give me some wiggle, or should I say ‘jiggle’ room 😬

I’m 37 and don’t feel like an old lady at all but I have digestive issues which mean an elasticated waist are comfortable and practical for me if I experience bloating. To each their own 😘
