Why are here critics about Karpov? He likes to play and he is still stronger as the most of us. By the way. Karpov won in this tournament against the tournament winner Magnus Carlsen. I hope that this stop the critics ...
firendable It was a blitz game and Karpov was never a good blitzer! And Magnus was always a blitz monster. By the way: Magnus Carlsen won yesterday the Rapidchess World championship. If he win the today starting Blitz World Championship, he is the first person ever to hold all 3 titles at the same time.
Yes, karpov was for 20 years under the top 5 blitz blayer in the world. he is still under the top 200 blitz player at this moment. That is a blitz ranking that the most chess player dream to have.
Karpov is a great player who had the title for a solid 10 years! However, Kramnik is a very accurate and solid player who has quite a few years on Karpov. And think in this game, Karpov was too aggressive too fast and over extended his pawn chain on the king side which led to a lot of weaknesses in the middle game. Which then, Kramnik started taking advantage of.
Look closely. Karpov didn't move the clock closer towards him. He simply pulled it back and pushed it forward again. Kramnik was the one who pulled it towards him.
Karpov is like "I know what you're doing Kramnik - nod, nod", "Hold on, there's something else, oh, that's another trap - nod nod" , "that's right, I'm gonna.. wait, but he can still move the Queen....nod - nod" after a minute or so Karpov "never mind, lets make it quick" lol
yeah blitz is for the young like Carlsen, but karpov is one of the greatest still but i do like kramink just like his calmness. that was a great video thanks for posting
Quanto mi piacerebbe poter leggere qualche commento in italiano.
It`s silly to compare Carlsen`s and Nakamura`s speed with Karpov. He is 60 years old. I am more than positive that none of todays top GMs will play as good as karpov or Kasparov once they reach 45+.... That`s simply because todays GMs are far less ceative and far far more into memorising the openings and lines. I am not saying that`s wrong, it`s just a new age. Btw, no one played as fast as Capablanka :)))
Anyone else bothered by Kramnik moving the time clock closer to his side right before the start? Karpov set it in the middle, and then Kramnik slid it more to his side.
+Danilo Albergaria Kasparov won, coz he was near the table and both of them (kramnik and Karpov) agreed that kasparov is the winner. After the game kasparov shows the best answer and that why he won. this is chess bejbe :D
Well i will say that the best blitz players are the best classical players who have deep understanding of the position. Now does age matter?? Yes if a player is active with current chess developments than yes he will have current knowlege plus experiance. So players like kasparov and karpov will anytime beat current FM and IMs and GMs (excluding the top Super GMs). But when u talk about current young top players like Carlsen and Aronian and Nakamura and Caruana, well they too have deep understanding of position and they study chess a lot which makes up for the experiance. Then these players also have stamina and activ brain and they do have novelties up their sleeves.
Ciao
karpov - one of the all time greats, on the very top.

Karpov was excellent blitz player what are you saying?:)
Yes, karpov was for 20 years under the top 5 blitz blayer in the world.
he is still under the top 200 blitz player at this moment. That is a blitz ranking that the most chess player dream to have.
+FrankyBKK actually karpov was also a good blitz player. he beat kasparov in blitz tournaments many times .
firendable At 13 years old.
Karpov and Kramnik - legends!
I like karpov, he has a good style
But karpov said
Style?, I have no style
- Anatoly karpov
(Search in his qoutes)
@@imagirlbtwuwu8053 They said the same about Fischer, too. In reality, both of them had rather distinctive styles.
Love Karpov,a legend of the English opening and all round nice fellow, he should be the head of fide .

He's the player I most admire... truly a man who understands chess, understands the board... has lots of respect for the game... :]
Karpov is my favorite chess players of all times!

the young karpov (especially 1978- 1982) cannot be beaten by anyone in blitz & in a long games
Young Anand would smash him blitz...as Anand was a monster in blitz and rapid
Kramnik looking at Karpov like "So you were beaten three times by who? hehehehehehehehehe"
not a prob karpov, u r a great chess player!!!:)
Is that Ljubomir Ljubojević in the cardigan and red necktie in the front?
He's not made for Blitz, he may calculate every possible move but needs time. Nevertheless a Genius beyond reasoning.
He is almost 25 years older than Kramnik! When he was young, he was an excellent blitz player, and played fast in classical games, too.
It`s silly to compare Carlsen`s and Nakamura`s speed with Karpov. He is 60 years old. what about young Anand? He used to play classical games in 15 mts! young Anand was a blitz monster
I loled, notice how kramnik reaches the clock, and while karpov nods, he totally moves it towards him.
Thanks for uploading!
If one loses on time having an equal or winning position, it doesn't feel like losing. Karpov just doesn't want to make silly moves.
que diferencia hay entre los jugadores?
3:09 see the face of the audient looking at the board.......
LOL!
Too slow old Karpov :(
I wish overhead cameras were used. :)
What don't you get vertyy ?
Great video, ty for posting!
No problem
at that level, blitz is definitely a younger man's game...
what is the reason that he is in the prison??
whos win?
What chess clocks are those?

Kramnik: King of the double-chin effect
I'll like to see how Kramnik will perform when he's approaching 60.
he is 50
Karpov is very serius!
infinite concentration!

Poor Karpov, no one is immortal.
Kramnik is extremely handsome for a chess player who has been a world champion! Brain and beauty altogether ... I am in love with you Kramnik!
age is matter?
yea but not training every day even more
+cumi udang blitz is not for him i guess
+cumi udang compare Fischer at the age of 29 and after he comes back at the age of 50, yes age matters in any kind of sport.
Karpov was one of the best blitz players in the world during his prime.
so who won?
Karpov lost his timer ran out
Who won?
kramnik

@awe3774 why? :o
why do u say that?
father time was playing like he never heard of clocks
why?
I bet at slow time controls Karpov would still beat young low level GM's.
Karpov had a winning position whereas kramnik's position was a bit cramped and far behind in development.
+carlo rustico Time always sucks
you can see that by 360p????

@ivolgabb You are totally right!
no he is just counting the amount of takes. That simple
poor karpov. it's almost like he doesnt care about time, he just likes getting winning positions, which he had.
Karpov timed out, so Kramnik won.
karpov win this game

in this game time is left.

@moviecritic6 who said I play chess?! by the way, I forgive you!

Bueno esq Karpov ya esta grande....
wow... why does he do that to himself? it's blitz.. there's no room for such long thinks. u have to play on instinct.
Karpov genius,I dont like xadrez blitz is terrible game

At the start, they just wanna play chess!
Kramnik was in prison? are you joking ha ha
that's SOBER
karpov is rusty it seems
He's too old for game that fast.
He jokes it because of what Kramnik is wearing. Like a prison shirt.
Kramnik did.
I did. 3:43
Vladimir Kramnik lebih tinggi dari Anatoly Karpov....
Karpov think too much
karpov slow thinking
Too old..too slow.....
+1
too weak, too slow
karpov just thinks to slow... that's why kramnik won!
Karpov - bot...
Kasparov 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Who won?
Ok, im only playing chess for fun on school brakes so im not fimilier with eny of this xD
you just have to see the score in to the title... says 0-1 which means karpov (0) and kramnik (1) cause he... kramnik was the player that won.
