I walked around the mountains and picked a lot of tsao-ko, star anise and amomum villosum lour to make some fresh braising seasoning. I also spent 100 RMB on a pig's head! How delicious~
Even for those living in Dianxi, many haven't got a chance to see fresh tsao-ko. Tsao-ko has a unique freagrance. It only starts to bear fruits after the first three years and grows in damp and pollution-free valleys.

I watched this video and brought me to tears.. not for the reasons you think. My adopted grandmother was from China when she was young and came to America when she got married. She would always tell me stories of her life back in China and while she loved her life here she missed home horribly. The stories she told me were pretty much a narrative of this video. I watched and felt like I was looking back into my grandmum's life. I have missed hearing her stories and laugh, and now I feel like at least here in these videos and your beautiful life and family I have found that connection to her once again. Thank you for all the beauty and love you out out into the world. 🥰🥰🥰

I love to see you walked around the mountain to pick up the spices and love to see the big tsao-ko plant and the gigantic leaves and when you went under them like you can disappear under the leaves...like being in an enchanted forest...love to see the spice trees , cardamon and star anise.

You can have your own garden by moving to rual area and build your own garden. People spent money to pay to work out in a GYM. Why not use that money for use in planting in a garden.. The work out is you doing the preparation to grow your garden then watch it grows & harvesting your work out? I get in shape by building & caring for my garden. When I stopped I grew pounds of fats in my body.

❤️❤️❤️❤️I love how there is no waste... Everything is eaten. Yes people, even the head and brains. I think this shows respect for the animal... No waste but instead thankful for the animals and all it's nutritional parts.❤️❤️❤️❤️
In cultures where those parts aren't eaten, they go into dog food and other non-human feed, so they still don't get wasted :)

Exactly. I realised there's very little waste. For example, even their leftover corn husks are used for their fires. This is as close to how humans lived for thousands of years in the past, as we can get nowadays.

She is helping keeping history alive. They lived off of nature. They leave little of their foot prints. Here she used Glass Jars. In ancient time ceramic Jars are used to stores dried ingredients. She does not know that unpainted Ceramic Jars are the best. They keep dried ingredients from going bad. The ingredients would last much longer. Because of it ability to keep the dried foods cool.
