Aaron, the alternator puts out ac voltage. Put your meter on ac voltage. The regulator/rectifier turns it to dc voltage.
You should have two wires from alternator with ac voltage going into regulator plug and one 12 volt dc coming out of regulator to battery circuit.
Make sure that regulator is grounded in mounting. In other words clean mounting.

Aaron is totally correct buying an older tractor. The pricing on new stuff even before the recent inflation is insane. Also he is correct on the older mechanical pump style tractors. Easier to work on, not choked off by egr and other emissions devices and computer control. Also the older stuff is built heavier in a lot of cases and will hold up longer than most of us will be here. You are married to a VERY talented man and should be really proud. He is also willing to say when he's not sure and needs to learn and research. Enjoying the videos as always. Keep enjoying life and one another.

I so agree, this year I bought my first tractor and I wanted a Kubota but wow I couldn’t believe the prices.
I started looking at used tractors and just needed a 4wd mower for just 1 acre of mowing on a steep hill. After searching I was seeing that the small mowers were just as expensive as the bigger ones. Well not really big but big for mowing a small yard. lol I ended up buying a 34HP 1988 Kubota L2850 and it’s just a simple reliable tractor. I absolutely love it.

Another neat episode with Aaron jokes included for free. The close up shots of engine work with your camera were crystal clear and helped to give a better understanding of what Aaron was explaining. You both work so great together and having young people included was a good bonus. Just pure entertainment.

The two blue wires off the alternator are AC not DC. The box isn’t a regulator, but a rectifier that converts AC to DC. Sooooooo you can see if you have AC on the blue wires without the rectifier. If so your alternator is good, then check your rectifier wiring as it might not be the same.

Regarding stabilization on the Sony I think you’ll find a lot of people use a gimbal with those cameras to increase stability vs say a Lumix camera (and iPhone for that matter) which have better stability from the start. That said, the Sony is still a lovely camera 🤓

Aaron, weld up a double U bracket that fits between one end of the draw bar and a lift arm that keeps the draw bar from rotating in the lift arm swivel balls. Otherwise when you pull a trailer with a ball hitch, the draw bar will rotate and put tremendous prying force on the hitch lock.

Saw a video, that a guy had trouble keeping his camera stable. He made a hat for a chicken and mounted his camera on that, even flying in a boat the camera stayed stable. Lol guess the chicken had built in stableizing muscle in its neck, sounds crazy but it worked for him.

I want to make a suggestion. Find a convenient location next to your work area and dig a square hole about 16” WX 16” W X 3’ deep and place 4”X4” form in the center. The 4X4 honey hole is so a 2/4 post will fit. Be sure to put reinforcements wire in and fill with concrete. This is great for all kind of uses, like work table, umbrellas and yes even a tire changer tool.LOL

Done quite a few tractor tires on the farm, all hydroflated. I use the garden hose and my well pump a hose Y , a 1/4 " plastic hose, it slips over the tire valve stem, and a gas line clamp to keep it on the stem , a female hose connector on the other end. I have the pump on the hose Y supply , when the tire is tight with air, I shut off the pump, open the free Y connector to evacuate the air . Of course the tire valve at the highest point. Using antifreeze instead of calcium chloride sounds smart, it could get expensive with large tires. I hydroflate both fronts too.

The thing about the people you see buying these older tractors is a lot of them actually have enough saved to buy a new tractor, and it’s these kinds of decisions that got them there. When you see people with all the new tractors and trucks everywhere that’s when you know they’re spending everything they make trying to keep up with all of their monthly payments. Always think long term, if you can’t buy it you don’t need it.

RE: Bronco: “It’s just a tool to me’ …she is a pretty “tool”. Us men have lots of “tools that are pretty” 😉…which makes us one of the most worthless tools 🤣. Love the tractor videos…many of us can relate to memories and roots originating from farming and the implements with being on the farm or with grandparents. The first tractor my older brother drove was a Ford 9N…mine was an Oliver 880 but that was only a loaner while the Oliver 770 was getting some service that we didn’t have time for in the middle of wheat/oat harvest and baling. Our run around utility tractor was a Farmal H…so that was the one ran most often when younger even though not the most hours on. So a Farmall and Oliver are connected to me and I almost despise a 9N (must just be the older sibling thing lol)…speaking to the small loader tractor…I remember the day we picked up the first skid steer on the far…it was a game changer and the loader after that had multiple seasons of not even being attached.

A few years ago I bought a John Deere 430 Garden tractor with a 3 cylinder Yanmar engine to restore. It was from 1984 too and I cut about about a million acres of grass through High School at an amusement park on a John Deere 318, So I always loved them. I took my 430 far enough apart to replace seals and hydraulic hoses brakes, belts, clutches etc, I know there was more. and after I drove all over the state of Kansas sourcing parts (I wanted it original) I painted and powder coated everything and replaced tires. I put an original sticker kit back on it and it was done. I really wanted a front end loader and that;s the only thing I never found, at least worth buying and I had a purpose for one when I started. I sed it for a while on a few things and eventually sold it. I went to John Deere and looked at some of their 20 hp tractors with loaders and they were $21k plus another thousand for taxes. I almost pulled the trigger and am so glad I didn't. I went the N Korean route! I think every single one comparable had way higher capacity and no aluminum transmissions and read differentials. All cast. I ended up buying a TYM T 264, 24.8 hp 4x4 front end loader and I needed a tiller. It has a Kukje engine which almost quashed the deal just hearing the name. Turns out made by Cummins since 1954 ish and the fuel system is ALL mechanical. I pulled the trigger and all in it was $18k's including tax. So far I LOVE it and i tried to stay loyal and American and all that, but they were just to proud of a lesser product. Oh and I think the warranty on everything is 7 years. Good video, first time viewer!

I'm 72 now and I love old Tractors. Grew up on a farm using old tractors. We still have our 1st tractor. A 1946 Farm All Cub and it still runs. And we crank it with the old hand crank.

A tip for putting on big tires is use a C-clamp to keep the tire from sliding around the rim

AND - What is your pressure washer, is that thing electric??

      Hi!
The grille is off the OBS because we’re working on installing a bunch of Banks Performance parts on it!!!!
The power washer came from Lowe’s, yes it’s electric! We like it pretty well!
