Technically, actively telling your audience puts your channel at some level of risk. There are ways to get ROMs without downloading them. You can rip them from cartridges. Although, this video is 7 months old, so you seem to be doing fine.

Yeah I just checked, he doesn't have an armature so the plugin is just updating his mesh every frame but I am able to is render it Realtime using eevee then make a scene using cutout shaders and import it into obs and enable transparency and I can run around my greenscreen as mario and control him with a xbox controller!
@@BlenderDojo I mean, as long as you dont share the rom file, this will be fine. They cant take down the decomp or any of the code ported to other stuff. Its the rom itself (and the assets extracted from it) that triggers them.

my stupid ass always cant locate my installed plugins. i need to install libmaster to make it easier to test custom stages, but i cant even try this because it doesnt show my libmaster in my plugins after i install it
every blender version has a shortcut to the desktop in the file viewer. If I cant find mine I usually save it there and then locate it using blender when I install
it might be possible using the "auto keying" button next to the timeline controls (play pause etc.) you can turn it on, hit spacebar to play the scene and move Mario using the controller. then when it's done you can replay the animation and they key frames should replay your exact movements

make sure the controller is plugged in before you open blender, I would also try different USB ports sometimes that works. good luck!
