- In this video, I will show you How to Use Elementor Advanced Custom Fields and Custom Post Types Tutorial. You can use this to create any kind of listings website. In this tutorial I am going to create Car listings website using Elementor and advanced custom fields plugin. New updated Advanced custom fields plugin has built in Custom post types option. So you do not need to install any other plugin to create custom post types.
I will show you how to create custom post types and add custom fields to the custom post types. Using Elementor Pro dynamic Tags and Theme builder feature, you can create any type of template for single post and archive of the custom post.
Combination of advanced custom fields, custom post types and Elementor pro can be used to create customized listings websites such as car listing, property listings, etc.

Very good tutorial. I like the way you explain everything in detail with no rush. I'm using Elementor for many years but hey, I never saw the Loop Grid which is exactly what I was hoping to find in this tutorial. 🚀 My issue is that one I delete the name of the post from the URL and only the name of the archive remains, it says: The page can’t be found. Any hint how to solve it please?
are u deleting only the name of the post of deleting entire post?Try saving the permalink settings. Go to Settings, Permalink settings. DO not make any changes. Just save and see if that works.

I created a field called "Address" Problem is the address is both Text and Number. How is that handled in ACF when a field label is Address > Number?
text field can handle text as well as number. But the number field will let user enter only numbers.

Great Video. I did not know about ACF just spent the weekend creating a static page with only 2 pages of listings and post page but had to create each and very individual post page. It wouldn't be a problem as its only a few listing. But when it comes the time of change a single text or color, I Have to go to all individual pages. This helps a lot. thanks

Great informative video, however, I'm using Salient so its a bit tricky for me, any idea how to access dynamic tags in salient? I've looked for other names but just can't seem to find it.
My end goal is to get custom posts showing for a cottage website, I can do that, but there's no extra options showing such as pets allowed, pricing, availability, so I need these features to appear on main pages where I show the posts, but its tricky as I can't see the dynamic tags.

I have not used Salient so I am not sure if there is option. In this video, I have used CPT UI plugin along with elementor pro. Are you trying to create a website like booking for resort / cottage?
Yes that's right, so I want the cottage to show on the post grid, along with pricing / how many bedrooms and little icons etc

Hi, it's actually exactly what I am looking for. The explanations are well done and I can follow step by step. However.. when it comes to create an Elementor Pro Template for the single post, the post titel does not appear (with the post title widget). And I went 3 x step by step to make sure, that I did not naything wrong... but now after trying again: there is no post titel to selct.. what a pity..
I tried it and it works properly on my side. I can add post title.

Hello, is there a way to add categories? I need to create a list of stores (CARS in your video) but I need that within that list there are categories such as pharmacies, hair salons, sports stores, etc... So users can filter those categories in the store search engine ¿is this possible?

It is possible to create Taxonomies for custom post types in which you can create different categories and also filter the posts using taxonomies. How do i get this pagebuilder with clicking ‘add new’ (car)? I only get the titel field and the details but not a new website pagebuilder
when you create custom post, you will see the option in the dashboard to add new post / car. follow this video tutorial properly, you will see the custom fields on the post type.

you can do that while creating template. you can define number of cars to show on the page and add pagination.

yes, it can be done. For the featured image, you can use ACF image but you need to edit that in post template. Use dynamic tag to fetch acf image.

I want to create a list on a landing page that contains books, courses, etc. It has the [Resource Type] label that can be editable | ( Image) | Title + Description + [Read More button]. you can create 2 different post types and on the landing page, you can create 2 sections, one for books and other for courses. If you have same layout for books and courses then only 1 custom post type can also work. In this case, you can create 2 categories for custom post type, books & courses.

I need your advice on a URL problem. My goal is to have a nested URL structure, but I'm having trouble achieving it. Here's an example:
- I've created a CPT "Wiki" and a taxonomy with multiple levels, also in ACF:
- Main category
- Subcategory
I want the permalink for the post to look like this:
/wiki/main-category/subcategory/post
But currently, the permalink looks like this:
/wiki/post
The same for the category archive page:
/wiki/main-category/subcategory
instead of this:
wiki/taxonomy/main-category/subcategory

This video is very good in that it is complete. It covers ACF as several others do, but it is the only one I have found to show what you do with the resulting custom posts that you create. So well done! I needed to know how to create a template for my new custom posts and how to make an archive page.
Question reguarding the archive page. Let's say you have tree catagories of Cars - Sedans, SUVs and Trucks so that all Cars are one of those three catagories. How do I make an archive page that only shows all sedans? A seperate archive page for all SUVs? All I can figure out how to make shows all Cars. Thank you.
You can create Taxonomies and use filters to show vehicles in different categories. acf has image Gallery field option. you can use it to create image gallery for each custom post.

There are two solutions: one is to use a post series plugin, and the other is to create a separate page. Then call the post of the corresponding page. Finally, when publishing a post, you can directly select the corresponding series page without conflicting with the currently used post template. How to solve this problem?

there is no inner section in elementor
you may be using flex box container. You can de-activate flexbox container from Elementor settings - features. Or you can use grid in the flexbox.

I have one problem though, I followed your steps, but when I view the post or archive I only see the cars, but not menu or footer.
My content looks just like yours but my theme isn't showing at all when I browse, even when I design, I only see the cars, no menu or footer like yours has. On yours you can still see "Home" "All Swag", "What's New" etc. Do you have any idea how I can show it? I am using latest WordPress, Elementor and ACF. I tried searching for answers but haven't found any yet.
Which theme is installed?
You may need to Check header & footer settings in your theme builder. The same header should be applied through out the website.

I have a question related to your video would appreciate it if you could help me. I see that the Cars slug is a static archive page, and BMW is a post page. Is there a way I can add an additional post page to the hierarchy? /cars/bmw/best-bmw-models/
I think you can create a category for BMW cars. Then go to Wp Dashboard - Settings - Permalink settings. Select Custom structure and add category in custom structure.
