    There's a reason that Christian has been the only team principal to lead Red Bull. He's great at his job, and even when it doesn't go amazingly well sometimes, Red Bull trusts him to do well again. He's a vital element

      @@ItachiUchiha-nj9wx if you watched his press conference before the FIA Gala started, you can understand why he was a true leader. The way he motivated and treated his team, his drivers, Max and Checo, even Alex Albon and also how he congratulated Jean Todt's 12 years of presidency, I guess we can learn that he is different than any other team drivers. Of course he is completely the opposite style with Toto Wolff leadership but Christian really build his team with uneasy situation since they decided to work with Honda by the end of 2018.. I'm a Ferrari fan but I don't see the same spirit with Binotto, I was still happier when Arivabene still led the red team.

    It’s very bitter sweet for red bull that the last year for the current spec cars is the year that they challenge for the title. 2022 is a complete unknown, anybody could be dominant

      It might be something to do with, despite the fact that he seems like a decent chap, the extraordinary amount of manure that comes out of his mouth - much like all the team principles I must add. The mismanagement of Gasly and Albon probably upset a few people too, plus the way Webber was treated.

      @@saxongroove5898 I thought he was way too harsh on Gasly for that half a season he had. Him winning a race in an Alpha Tauri shows that he wasn’t the problem. If I was Gasly I would look to Alfa Romeo if Kimi retires or maybe a No.2 to Lewis at Mercedes they get along well

      May be they are referring that, there is not much to unleash from 21 car as compared to 18 Merc diva. 18 car was faster but it had issues with tire cooling and softer compound of tires. So in that regard toto may be correct.

      He definitely will. Tsunoda isn't mature enough, Gasly just simply won't move again and both parties have said as much, and it would be silly for them to hire ANOTHER non-academy driver for zero reason. If Checo can keep Bottas at bay for the next few races, he 100% will be renewed until 2023.

      Why would it be weird? Honda uses 9-12k RPM engines already. F1 tech always trickles down to road use.

      @@Xfade81 Cooling, for example. You couldn't possibly cool an F1 engine inside a road car. Other than that - reliability, F1 engines last a fraction of what supercar engines are capable of. And that's only two of many, many problems.
      Rev range is the least of your worries there.

      Yeah Christian seemed really quiet in the Post-Vettel years that I also wondered if he was just a flash in the pan team-winning boss. Little did I or everybody else figure out that it is indeed the quiet one who may be the most dangerous man in the room. That Red Bull have hit a second stride without needing a change of Team Principal is remarkable. Only Benetton (as Renault Sport) managed the same thing with Flavio Briatore.

    He is such solid guy and honest in his views.

    I met Christian briefly in Bahrain with Helmut Marko and my friend Marcin Budkowski. I was so surprised when speaking to them as I'd always thought they had enough talk about F1. With these guys however, they don't talk about anything else. They live, breath and sleep F1 and I love that

      A couple off hours ago, Mercedes announced aero and engine upgrade over the next races. " Mercedes have stop developed the car they said a couple off races ago " Whatever that comes out from Mercedes from now i will not read anymore.

    Interesting comments regarding Honda, as i understand it, the engine has some special coatings that would have been difficult to duplicate as well as the talks with Andy Cowell and then the raid of Mercedes for engineers.

      Honda is has already fixed the engine, which will be used from 2022-2025

      Redbull will use an engine that honda will help co-develop, and the engine will be made in a factory built next to the current Redbull factory in Milton Keynes

    Christian has always been one of the most pleasant team principals on the grid. He doesn't show off, he's humbe, doing fantastic PR work and never lost his enthusiasm for racing and Red Bull Racing.
