I bought my first Golden Wonder a couple of weeks ago. As I was reading about them eating smaller fish, I turned and saw he had a guppy in his mouth. I had to scoop him up and put them in my 30 gallon. He's doing great now, and it does look like he's smiling.

I tried breeding Gardneris for the longest and I never got any fry. Eventually I gave up and moved my pair into a 5 gallon and put some guppies in their old tank. Within a couple weeks the guppy tank had a ton of fry!! It was really fun guessing with my wife if they were guppies or killies 😂😂 I was convinced they were guppies but they ended up being killies!! ❤️❤️ guess I needed more cover

If Cory does end up going down the rabbit hole, I’d like to hear about the process of shipping and hatching dried killifish eggs. That fascinates me and I’m sure he’s done it.

Also, for people to know. The golden wonder killi fish can jump atleast 6 inches out of the water. Before my trip to Galveston I dropped the water about 3 inches so it was about 6 inches from the rim. I came home and my biggest one had jumped ship. LIDS ARE IMPORTANT.

We have had a breeding pair of Golden Wonders (Pete & Gladys) for close to 4 years now. We continually find fry in the community tank they live in and simply transfer the fry to a 20 gallon grow out tank. Their favorite food is without a doubt dried mosquito larvae. They just go nuts for these and it makes feeding time a whole lot more fun. Their tankmates are a small school of White Clouds, 2 Bristlenose Plecos, 2 Dwarf Kookoo catfish and a breeding colony of Panda Corys. Never had a single problem with the Wonders and highly recommend them to everyone.

Aquarium co-op. Please do a video for those of us that live in hot climates. I live in Hawaii and it’s 75 to 85 degrees in my house all year so I usually see 82 degrees on my tank thermometer. Are there any fish that’s TOO hot for? How does this effect guppies? Tetras? Plants? Etc. thank you for teaching me so much, I really like your videos.

Great video Cory I love when you do small clips like this of a species of fish or odd ball fish that are easy to take care of and you always go into great detail about it which makes it very informative and you always try to shine like on all fish which keeps the hobby going.

I remember asking if you liked killifish in one of your livestreams, slightly dropping a hint for this video but not directly asking it. Sick content. I keep the orange australe killi ! Bred them and now the fry are at a size where they're showing breeding behaviour too ! So exciting.

A note to the golden wonder killiefish if it is smaller than them it will go in the mouth. These things will eat full grown guppies and danios. The only thing I found it didn’t eat were the bumblee bee gobies which was very unusual. I never did see them eat eat the fish but you could tell when floating them in the bag they were after them so I had to move them to another aquarium
