    Thank you for mentioning the free parking! I live here and didn't know this. I first visited the Railroad Museum in1979 with my son. He still remembers every detail. He also stayed for a short time at the Bryan Museum when it functions a temporary foster care.facility. He recently visited the Bryan museum with his son and shared sweet stories. He later told me , it was a giant castle back then full of love. Though it was a difficult time for us , I'm so happy to learn after all these years his time there is remembered as a magical adventure. He returned not for the clever museum but for the his childhood memories. I envy your lifestyle, good journey dear friends . Thanks for the video.

      Hi Lillian! Thank you for sharing your story. That is awesome that your son was able to visit the Bryan and share his magical memories with his son. I can see where it would feel like a castle! ❤️

    We have only lived in Texas about 3 years. My wife went to high school in Baytown and always wanted to move back. We moved from the Seattle area and lived in our 1991 Champion Ultrastar, 28' class A, with 2 cats and 3 dogs (one a Great Dane)
    for 9 months. We were originally looking around the San Antonio area until we came across a house in Cuero, built in 1895 that we are now restoring/remodeling. We are looking forward to exploring Texas, as soon as the RV remodel is finished, or mostly finished. Thanks for a wonderful travel video that we will add to our destination list.

    • @rvamericayall

      That is awesome! Cuero is a neat area. We hope to spend some time around there in the future. Good luck with your remodels. Hope to see y’all out there somewhere one of these days!

    Galveston has a lot of history and by a miracle some of it has survived through time. Sadly Texas first port Indianola was totally destroyed because of hurricanes and practically nothing remains today. Really enjoyed the video...remember Sea Arama back in the day? Ha!

    • @rvamericayall
      @rvamericayall  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We LOVED Sea Arama! So many great memories from there. The story of Indianola is sad. We're so glad that at least the people of Galveston were able to learn from Indianola so that they didn't suffer the same fate.

      Hey Michael! Welcome to our channel! Yes… Rosenberg donated a series of monument style water fountains all over the island for the convenience and comfort of both “man and beast”. Though they no longer flow water, many of them still exist and each one is unique.

    I appreciate this video however, being someone who grew up in the area, it's important to me that facts are checked prior to people filming videos about the island and what happened with the orphanage during the storm of 1900 was one of the biggest tragedies of that storm because there were ONLY 7 SURVIVORS.....

    • @rvamericayall
      @rvamericayall  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The orphanage we talked about was in town called The Galveston Orphans Home & we got the story directly from the museum. The one your talking about is St Mary’s Orphanage which was right on the water.

    We do love your channel planing to buy RVC specially we like palazzo 33.2. You guys sold one we know what was the problem I wonder
    Why you change to tiffin. This will be first rv for us .Thank you

    • @rvamericayall
      @rvamericayall  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi David! Thank you! We switched from the Palazzo to our Tiffin Breeze for several reasons. 1) We wanted to be as small as possible and still be in a diesel pusher. 2) We were really impressed by all of the stories we had heard from folks about Tiffin’s customer service. We met Bob Tiffin a few times (the founder of Tiffin) and he personally returned our phone call. So, in going full time, we wanted to go with a family-owned company that we felt like would provide great customer service. We owned the Palazzo for 4 years. It took us to some fun places and gave us great memories. But we love our Tiffin.
