- Welcome back to the channel, In this episode i head out after dark in the city of Chiang Rai, Thailand! Join me as I dive into the city’s nightlife, exploring the Golden Clock Tower, delving into the energetic Jetyod Road, and experiencing the bustling Night Bazaar area.
🌟 As the sun sets, the magic begins at the Golden Clock Tower, illuminating the cityscape with its dazzling lights. This iconic landmark is a must-see, attracting both locals and tourists alike. 3 times a night the clock tower will light up a do a show. Join me as we witness the clock tower coming to life with colour and music.
🍻 From there, we venture into the lively streets of Jetyod Road, the heart of Chiang Rai's red light bar area. This vibrant district is bursting with small bars and gogo night spots, pulsating with music and vibrant energy for a small city. Let's take a stroll through this cool nightlife hub.
🌃 The adventure continues as we make our way to the renowned Night Bazaar area. Here, the vibrant night market comes alive, offering a Night Market vibe, with live music, food and a nice sized walking street. I explore the many stalls, where you can find everything from traditional crafts and clothing to delicious street food.

Am I the only one who’s finding Chiang Rai cleaner and well organized than Chiang Mai😀. Nice video Wayne , I liked the bar scene there, no pushy girls, no screams of handsome man, just chilled out. Btw , one thing I noticed, why they still wear masks
It is a bit more chilled in Chiang Rai for sure. People are even more relaxed. I still got a few massage shouts but nothing crazy. Thais love wearing masks, they just feel safer wearing masks. I still notice people quickly putting on the mask when they see me. People are still in fear of Covid here.

The Hungry Wolf moved next to the river near Overbrook Hospital and the Riverie Hotel. While you are in the area you should stop at Wat Phra Kaew and go up the hill to the City Pillar Shrine. The main market is in that area as well and always worth a walk through.

Visited Chiang Rai during January and sat in the exact same spot. The name of the hotel is the Wangcome. Motorbiked to Phi Chi Fa, Chiang Khong & The Golden Triangle. North Thailand ❤

If you come on a Sunday, there is a night market in Chiang Rai that is similar to Chiang Mai. It is very large and if you come in November. In the night market area, there will be a park where winter flowers are displayed beautifully. especially at night😊

You should think about visiting Udon Thani, it’s definitely one of the best cities I have visiting in Thailand. Besides that it’s great to visit Isan.

I've been to Udon Thani ( briefly) but I wasn't there long enough to have a look around. Hopefully I will soon and I'll defo be going Ng to Isan at some point. 👍
@@parasitius it just had a good vibe, kind of like CM but without tourists. Very local but also modern and many big and nice food markets in the evenings. Just outside the city you can find the lotus lake

CR looks a little easier to drive and walk around in. Not too shabby. You’ll have to do that Malaysian tour sometime and give us the dirt. I thought I read more English speaking over there but I could be wrong. The Malaysian girl with white fever spoke English good!

Hi, the places I stay are a little out of town. For a couple of days I would stay around the clock tower. There is a few nice hotels around that area and you can walk to the markets.

I lived in CR back in 2005 and used to frequent that area. I was a teacher at a school on the main road: Samakhiwitthayakom School. Wow, how time flys! Really missing it now that I'm watching your channel.
I wish you were there in the day time to see what's the same and different. I do notice the Pizza company and Swensen's are still there!..LoL.
I love Chiang Rai, it's my favourite place. I have some day time walks also 👍
