The legal costs seem a lot lower than what I was quoted last week. Came up 1800-1900 so far, so might have to keep looking!

Nice video and straight to the point! I am confused on whether I am considered a first time buyer. I inherited a 1/3 share in a small agricultural land outside the UK before I was even of legal age. Moreover the land to this day has two guardians who have to give permission for any action concerning it. Does that mean I do not count as a first time buyer in the UK? Any advice on how to proceed from here?

Hey - From the initial information you have provided we would say you are a first time buyer however due to the laws related to homeownership we would need to check this as a part of the initial process for you! Once we have it confirmed by them , we can help you understand your affordability, secure an agreement in principle and get your mortgage application over the line!

Is that true that in uk one never fully owns their house because after 100 years the land and house becomes the royal property asset? And why pay the leasehold fee annualy when council tax is paid each month? And how much is that ? Thank u for answering my silly questions 😊

Leasehold fee you pay toward the party that own the deeds to the land. Council tax you pay to live in the borough that you occupy.

Hey - Leasehold just means you own your home but not the land it sits on. There are options to buy out your lease so that you own both your home and the land it sits on. Council Tax is a set amount you pay to the council to help upkeep the area you live in such as local parks etc
