Very nice video, thanks. I love the image overlay for the comparison & the 'sisde by side' comparison too. Very helpful. Now I've 'found' you, I've subscribed.

Thanks for that, Steve. I’ve got some Spitfire Mk I stuff in the works, including a follow up to this upgrade round up, so stay tuned!

Nice video! I have the 1/24 scale Hurricane in My stash.

Thanks Dave! The 1/24 Hurricane is a nice kit, worlds better than the Spit Mk I. The Model Monkey exhausts and GasPatch .303s would make for nice upgrades. Again, no affiliation, just my opinion.

Nice info there Bo, there are other items available out there - check out HGW Seatbelts for example. Cheers Bob

Thanks Bob -- from one grey beard to another :) I have another tranche of items on the way, I'll have a look at those HGW belts as well. I've used them a lot in my WWI projects, so I have a good idea what to expect...

I will because this is spitfire in use today that various mods would have taken place to conform to new airworthiness directive. Hense you might get duplicate diels as a requirement.
This was not a issue around 1940 because a six week life in combat was predicted and safety was not paramount at the time as it is today.
So deul instrument and radio and navigation will be different on modern day spitfires.
I will have it a guess your instrument panel will be accurate.

Upgrade? New £100 kits shouldn't need upgrade.

Hi Brian, Thanks for the comment. This video is about aftermarket bits for the half-century-old Mk Ia kit -- that incidentally can be found here in the States, anyway, for about $75 (~ £60).
