Remember .... old Scandinavian...and Finnish...folk music has nothing to do with paganism. It is a beautiful, melancholic music that has been born out of a hard life in the north. Paganism has nothing to do with a harsh lifestyle either. I have some pagan friends and they are very liberal and loving people.
Paganism is a collective name for religious cultures, usually polytheistic, animistic or shamanistic. The term has been applied to a wide range of spiritual or ritual practices or beliefs in folk and polytheistic religions. Many Nordic folk musicians were also Christians btw.
