Moved to another country a couple years ago and left my red 1990 325i back home. I miss the little car that I've had since 1998 when I was 18 years old.
Max. A classic. A BMW masterpiece! We all have a 'soft spot' for the E30 3 Series. Where i live there is [like below] a dolphin grey in A1 condition. Still turns heads. This BMW must have started so many on their BMW journey. Thank you for bringing this amazing classic to the channel.
Had a 171 BHP prefacelift with chrome bumpers and higher comp ratio head at 9.7 to 1 ,for 26 years! loved it , later 88 on were 8.8 to 1 comp ratios giving 168 BHP , all lovely cars , great video , thankyou, :-)
I was also about 8 years when the E92 came out. Had an opportunity to drive up to Pretoria from Johannesburg South in South Africa, a roughly 80km drive. He drove the 325 version of the E92, at that moment that's when I realised that I am a die hard BMW fanboy. That thing impressed me in every angle, from its handling to the pure pulling power of the engine. It was just sheer driving pleasure, even though I was in the passenger seat...
Watching this from South Africa 🇿🇦 and of course we had the best versions the 325is 2.7L that made 210hp evo 2 and the evolution 1 with aluminium body parts and-had 197hp, both had the M3 suspension . That to us was a the Shadowline produced from 1989 to 1990. More so the IS replaced the 333i which had a M30b32 engine and the Mtech 1 body kit produced in 1986 to 1988. Both the 333i and IS were South African M3s since we didn’t get any.
This was my dream car when I started driving 20yrs ago, I never got one, but I’ve had my 2003 e46 330ci sport (manual) in gun metal grey for over 12yrs now, and enjoy it as much as the first day I got it.
I had a mildly tuned 1989 Alpine White 325i 4 door back in the day. It performed so wellI and was such a joy to drive. I will eventually own one again weather its a cabriolet or coupe. They are really beautiful cars inside and out.
I love cars from the early 60s up to early 2000s. My mother in law jad a e30 325i and it never got out of 3rd gear but what a glorious symphony those sixes played. Drive a e46 330ci m sport in concourse condition for weekends and holidays..had it nine years and will never let it go.
My 89 325i Cabrio with 5spd manual is my daily drive on the winding roads of upcountry Maui. It’s being repainted original glacier Blue Metallic right now. I recovered the seats with a great kit and new original dark blue canvas top that I found on EBay. Great car great drive. Cheers
I still have my 2 door dolphin grey 325 1 after 20 years , a car to driven not stored away so she has her dings and scratches but still a pleasure to own and drive
My dad had an E30 touring when i was growing up. Im 23 now and going to start my driving lessons soon, and I cannot wait for the day when I can afford one of these. Without question my all time favourite car. Give me one of these over a bugatti or lambo anyway. Great review ❤ I'm from a place called lincoln in the UK and i've only ever seen one other good example of an E30 so they're definitely rarer then people realise. You definitely don't see them everyday.
Good video. Agreed it is kind of a generation thing for me, grew up with an E46 coupe and have been driving one for about 22 years as my daily driver. No mechanic problems that couldn't be fixed at reasonable cost.
Yes I like the E30 cars in the day always wanted an M Sport car and was so pleased when I got my E92 325 I M Sport great car still with only 32500 miles one previous owner car . Love it best 3 shape ever !
This is one of my favourite cars of all time, I've always preferred them over the M3 (which is still an awesome car), mostly because of the inline 6 and because of its subtle looks, they look perfect when wearing Alpina rims.
A+ review That is why or should I say there is no way I would get rid of my 1987 325IS coupe with a five speed gearbox ..recently had it sprayed to its original color and my girl she’s a beauty !
Hi Max, happy new year man! Love the old skool bmws. Especially, their signature straight six! I've seen an e30 with V8! Keep up the good content and congratulations on your success well deserved you can see the works gone into it ❤
I too despise not having cup holders in my car. I say this looking at a driveway currently harbouring a 996 and an E30. Both notoriously cup holderless. We all have to make compromises and for me, its a small price to pay.
What a beautiful car. Preserved to the highest quality it seems. Love the traditional analog gauges 👍. I cannot stand the iPad screens that call themselves modern day gauges . Pathetic in my books. Just my thoughts. This coming from someone who drives a modern day BMW.

Thank you Keith, I think everyone has a soft spot I agree!
the Zed 1 was classic. We never got this car in USA

Great story 😎
Great video and fantastic example. I had one for 30 years without the modifications. Grown up to the E39 now which is every bit as enjoyable.
Thanks for sharing

Watching this video makes me want to fix up my mum’s ‘89 E30 325i also in red with beige interior in our garage 🥹🥹
This video is your sign to do it!
Your mum has great taste.
I still have my 2 door dolphin grey 325 1 after 20 years , a car to driven not stored away so she has her dings and scratches but still a pleasure to own and drive

Sounds great! Hopefully you will have one one day! 🙏🏼
Had an ‘89 dolphin grey 325i Sport Max. Legendary car!!!!
Very nice mate 👌
Nice to see a clean example, too many have been ruined over the years, hence the price for clean examples. Great review 👍
Thank you!
I had one new for three years and loved every second !
Great review. Well shot.
Thank you!
cup holder in the e30 is between the seat and the center console ;) works goods :D

Thank you! Cool story about your E46 😎
I had the exact same looking car in 1998, but was 320iSE not 325. So cool, loved it.
Yes I like the E30 cars in the day always wanted an M Sport car and was so pleased when I got my E92 325 I M Sport great car still with only 32500 miles one previous owner car .

One of these in black be in my dream car garage
love my e30 325i touring m tech 2 too, will never sell

This is a great video, very informative. It really makes me want to drive mine!
Thank you!
Im currently restoring a coupe swapped with a m54b30. mann i cant wait to drive it

Hi Tariq, same to you too. Thank you very much mate! That’s very kind of you, hope you are doing good
Had an 88 325i Coupe .Diamant Schwarz. LSD. Mtec 2 . Full leather. Pilot steering wheel. Even rear blind. Wish I still had it.😔. Great vlog.
Thanks Richard, sounds like you had a minter!
Yep had it when I was 21 .It was 5 years old. Like you know they were mental in the day. Still are lol.😁@@DrivenPlus
Love my manual 325i touring
Good choice!
I had a dolphin grey one with alpina wheels. Paid £1500 for. Can add 10 grand to that now. Traded it in for an e36 328i sport in Boston green.

Totally agree!
Just wondering are those 15” or 16” wheels? Can anyone tell me. There’s a close up but could not read clearly.
I think from my memory these are 16”
@@DrivenPlus many thanks they look amazing but must be converted to 5 stud. Im trying to size next wheels looking at the 15” 4 stud.
those look like 15" 4 stud as they originally came with.
That's my car!
id rather have 318is .and now my E38 728i will do 0 to 60 7 seconds top speed 149mph .
You can’t not mention the E30 333i and 325is
Sorry!
its the Engine of the M3
Slap a turbo on it, huge rear wing, slam it, stance it, strip the interior and squeeze some 15x10 with dat poke look, now we have a dope e30
Please never get your hands on one
How to ruin a classic
Cupholders in an E30? That's for yuppies! Do you want to drive or drink?
Ofc its sounds better , M3 has a 4 cylinder engine 🤷♂️
You don't drink in car mate
Didn't even drive it.

Im tired of hearing fake appriciation for this car and model, if you really bout it get one.. dont rent one or drive your friends lol..
