The story/message in its entirety is saddening, it describes "the cycle of the the orphanage/ghetto"
In the song "sing about me"
1st verse: one of kendricks friends passes away by gang violence and dies in his arms. The brother of the friend then loses self control and goes on a rampage, he kills someone in retaliation for his brother. But shortly after he is then killed similar to his brother, by gang violence
2nd verse: Keisha (of keishas song) her younger sister talks bad to kendrick for bringing up her sister in his album, but she is also walking into her older sisters footsteps becoming a prostitute as well. Now Keisha dies, and the sister in the verse, her voice starts fading away as if she's going down the exact path and will eventually end up dead
So the younger brothers follow big brothers in the gang life & younger sisters follow big sisters in the prostitution life and the cycle doesn't seem to stop
