It’s honestly impressive how Cera is still able to deliver pretty much all his lines with the same cadence
Well, let's be frank here, he barely acted in this movie, he was just himself. The Scott from the comics is not as awkward as Cera played it in the movie.
I love his voice performance in the Netflix anime. He sounds more younger than previous incarnations of the character.

-Almost all of the cast members were present
-They did delivered the dialogs perfectly
-Many of them used prompts like Matthew Pattel gigure, Todd shirts and guitar player,Julie's censorship,Gideon chewing gum
-It was a nice, fun charity where people could win nice new fanarts
-All of them had so much fun the entire time

Really speaks to Wright's ability as a director and his fundamental understanding of the CAMERA's role in filmmaking. He talks about the camera as if it is a character (i.e. "now the camera pissed you off")

Michael Cera and Anna Kendrick were well known before this film. As was Chris Evans and Brandon Routh was Superman 5 years before this. Alison Pill had done a number of films. Mae Whitman had not only already worked with Michael Cera but she was in One Fine Day with George Clooney 15 years before Scott Pilgrim, Jason Schwartzman was in Rushmore his parents were already famous. The idea this was a cast of unknowns isn't true.
Even Keiran was in Home Alone.
Brandon Routh's performance in this is so in sync with the movie, man he is so talented and so underappreciated

Can we take a moment to appreciate that they could have totally just released this zoom call raw, but instead they took and edited it with so many little transitions and cuts to reactions, and text, and graphics, and sound effects, and the music - to whoever did this, *thankyou*.
I was just thinking the same thing! Definitely my favorite Zoom reunion that's happened recently. And the actors obviously brought props that no one else knew they were going to like the censor bar and the wig.
I mean, it's an Edgar Wright zoom call... the editing HAD to be fantastic! he wouldn't have it any other way!
Seriously even the Scott Pilgrim zoom edition is an elevated cinematic experience. Still cemented as my favorite movie of all time.

I can not stress how important this movie is in my life... Was the first movie I watched with my wife, first time we kissed, first time I even heard of Scott Pilgrim... by the end of the night my mind was totally blown by so many feelings... I think I prefer this movie to be underrated and kept a secret rather than being a massive blockbuster... it keeps magic in my life and as it turns, it will be a timeless piece of movies in many years to come. Cheers to all the actors but even more to the creator and director who really clipped the nail and ended with the single best movie for 90s kids and comic geeks like me. God bless you!

I first watched it earlier this year, while doing chores with my family, but this movie was so good I just stopped and sat down to watch it. I read the comics last weekend, and I'm so excited for the series.

A shame Kieran Culking wasn't there. Wallace is an important and funny character in the series and Kieran played the character really well.

i personally watched that film like 1000000000000 times. and believe it or not 90% of the time pausing constantly to read or to find hints. and half of all those with directors comments sound track. it was that good. never did that with any movie. never a boring moment.

Not gonna lie--this movie influenced my entire college experience and all of my 20s. It came out the same month my high school sweetheart ended things with me after I graduated from high school, and it really helped me to see that there's so much life beyond loss. The fact that most of the cast came back, including Chris Evans, has to say something on how much they enjoyed filming the movie and the bond they've all got with each other. Hell, they are STILL emailing each other from the same email thread when they were filming the movie! I love it, real talk. Not to mention EVERYONE came back for the Scott Pilgrim Takes Off anime.

Ellen Wong may be the most underrated actress of all time.
Her enthusiasm is infectious.
i don't think she's underrated. she's had very consistent casting roles since scott pilgrim. horror movies, sci fi show, and that GLOW netflix show. i'm glad she was recognized for her raw talent that was displayed in this movie

@@meohmyah well, she's mostly a canadian actress. not hollywood, so that would be why. one of the top female horror/thriller actresses that has played in more horror movies than any person i know is relatively unknown because she mostly does canadian movies and shows. (the young girl from Silent Hill). but they are well known in their own rights so i think they are fine where they are. it only takes one huge film like a marvel film (for chris evans) to get to that point where you were talking about and that could still happen at any time.

I loved how Edgar Wright is enjoying every single second of this lol
The lack of editing really brings out the humor of some of the writing that I never noticed. Also, Michael Cera brings out the humor in some of the lines that weren’t emphasized in the film.
I also think Cera plays Scott less Whiney In this which was a bit of a failure in the film. It made him less manic and more earnestly wishy washy in the film.
Ellen Wong’s performance in this is amazing and Edgar Wright’s laugh is so infectious

giddian prepared with a piece of gum... knives with the wig... todd with the bass and shirt... kim with the drumsticks, julie with the censor bar.... lucas with the eyebrows... this cast floors me, everything about this was perfection

I'm laughing and crying at the same time. The nostalgia brings me to tears...but tearfully happy tears. I'm laughing recalling all of these hilarious lines (especially Kieran Culkin's) from the movie and the scenes themselves. This is tugging at my heartstrings and my funny bone. Thank you for this...and thank you for such a great movie, a great graphic novel and AMAZING characters brought to life by this plethora of immense talent.

This is maybe the most charming thing I've ever seen. I just smiled the whole time. And laughed. Joyous. I love this movie and the comics and this video.
The co-writer did a great job reading Wallace's lines. It sounded just like him at times.

I'm amazed that Brian Lee O'Malley is still so invested. He wrote all those comics books over a 7 year period based on his life experiences at the turn of the millennium. i can't think of much I'm still obsessed with a quarter century later.
